Beautiful journals but expensive
I saw their beautiful Lotus Gate journal in Fortnum & Mason and found the Gilli Dreams website where I was offered 15% discount. That, coupled with free delivery, made me order the journal which arrived reasonably quickly. Unfortunately, the pages are not lined and the leather had a very strong smell that I associated more with lemon than cow hide so I decided to return it. You have the standard 14 days window to request the cancellation and send it back at your cost, which is fine. However, the process is not described very clearly on their website site and I had to message them to find out where to return it. Also, a hefty £6.60 was deducted for “shipping and handling”, even though the purchase delivery was free of charge. This is not supported by the law so I had to message them again to query it. I was eventually refunded the whole amount I’d paid initially.
