Due to multiple issues ( well documented, apparently ) with using the official Indian government’s e-visa application website to obtain a 30 day tourist visa, I decided to try using the services of one of the commercial online visa companies……specifically one called globallyevisas.com, also doing business as evisastoindia.org. Both websites have the same phone number listed in India.
During the process of filling out the applications for myself and a friend, “Harry” called me on WhatsApp to see if I needed help with the applications, which included uploading images of our US passports, and paying a fee of $75 each via PayPal for the visas, including the websites charge for obtaining them. This was on September 22, 2025. I was told the process should take 5-7 working days.
Then on Monday, September 29th, 2025, I was informed that although my visa was approved….my friends was rejected, due to “details didn’t match”. “Harry”……or possibly “Lovy” since that’s the name attached to the WhatsApp phone#…..then said “specifically it’s not mentioned”, regarding the reason for rejection, but then came back and said the passport number I used on my friends application didn’t match…..which…..quite simply…..wasn’t true! Not only do I double check everything before sending something that critical, I actually copied and pasted the passport number from a document with all the correct info!
At that point……”Henry” said I need to repay the full fee for my friends passport again….which I did, since our travel dates were coming up in a couple of weeks. This “rejection”….I believe….was nothing more than a scam to get more $$$ from me on an application where there was no error.
In fact, the website itself states: “Application Review and Verification: Once your application is submitted, our team meticulously reviews it to ensure accuracy and completeness. We double-check all the details and supporting documents, minimizing the chances of errors or omissions.”
They also state: “No matter what happens, we always look for the reason to ensure that the mistake won’t get repeated. Similarly, the first step here is determining why your application was rejected. You will receive a denial notification when your visa gets rejected. It will include all the reasons for your denial. It might be due to missing documents, incomplete information, or not meeting eligibility requirements."
"But this won’t happen in the first place if you have consulted a professional visa to India agency. Our consultant ensures that your application is properly filled with all the details and double-checked to give you peace of mind and fewer chances of rejection.”
This…..obviously…..is BS and never took place! And even if it did, the passport numbers we provided were perfectly accurate!
My advice is, based on my experience, beware of this visa service, since I don’t believe they operate with the best of intentions, or even following their own stated rules!
