My camera gear has been insured through Glover & Howe for several years now after reading a flyer about their services that came with EOS Magazine. The service has been excellent and there have been no problems with either of the claims I made, one from falling into a river with a camera and the other dropping a lens whilst changing lenses! One attraction is the "No Claims" discount for not making a claim. My main reason for going to them was that they specialised in insuring photographic equipment

I found this company on an internet search.
I was contacted by Rachel who explained the cover and advised as to which policy might be best. It all made perfect sense. Hi aches called a couple of times which were not convenient for me and we eventually sorted things out. There was never a question of a “hard sell” just good professional advice. I am clear as to the cover details and very happy with quality of service from this company.

Very easy website to navigate and the price quoted was competitive. I particularly liked the requirement to input specific item details and serial numbers.

Of course the real test of quality for an insurer comes when you have to make a claim. So this review is all about the purchase process. SO far so good and let's hope I don't have to make a claim

Glover & Howe Ltd have always sent out to me a renewal notice, with the contents insured correct every time. Any additions to my list are added, and a new policy is issued.
My payment by cheque has always gone through their system with no problem.
Very contactable by e-mail, should any problems arise, swift telephone service as well.

Great company to work with. Very professional and thorough, always an experienced person to deal with, not some automated and/or generic call centre. Entering my third year as a customer and while I haven't yet had to make a claim so can't comment on that process, every other interaction, need and requirement has been met and dealt with, including bending over backwards to keep me as a customer when renewal quotes from another company came out cheaper. Highly recommend.

I have been insuring my photographic gear with Glover & Howe for a few years now and know they have a sound policy of competitive value, a big part of which is 60 day world travel. Still, when my camera bag got stolen in Ukraine this summer, which is a devastating experience in itself, I was scared of having my claim declined, mostly because it was abroad, so working with the police is nowhere as straightforward. However, this turned out to be a simple, smooth process where I only needed to provide all the documentation. The claim payout was quick and I cannot recommend this company enough -- so much that I decided to come here and leave this review as I know not all insurance companies are made equal.

My first time using Glover and Howe. I had questions which were answered in full and carefully explained so that I understood fully. Recommendations were fair and suitable for my requirements so that I got the cover I needed without having to included any needless add-ons.

My camera was stolen whilst on assignment in France. I called Glover & Howe instantly, was told to report it to the police -- to then tell me the claim was uncovered, and that I shouldn't have taken my camera with me... What a terrible experience and a rude attitude. DO NOT TAKE THIS POLICY

After experiencing the worst possible scenario with another insurer, when all my gear was robbed in Italy and the insurance company doing everything they could NOT to pay me - Gover and Howe have restored my faith in the insurance industry by providing a bespoke service that caters for my needs. Thankfully I have never been robbed again since, however, I have true faith with this set of seemingly honest and great people.
