My daughter and I have had an exceptional experience at Glow up Kids. The staff were very kind, responsive, professional and caring. I had a lot of delays with transport and ended up getting to our appointment very late. However, Anne and Olivia kept in touch with me throughout the delays. They had also helped us with the route to take (due to delays and cancellations with buses and trains). We were greeted warmly and guided throughout the whole process while at Glow up kids. The make-up artist was very kind and made my daughter feel very comfortable in her skin (my daughter is a black child) and with her hair. There was another lady (I could slap myself for forgetting her name) that kept checking on us, updating us and offered us refreshments throughout the time we were there (as she knew we travelled from far and had another long journey back home). The photographer was very professional and knew exactly what she was doing. My daughter felt very comfortable working with her and the shoot went very well. At the end we saw Shantel who showed us my daughter's photos which looked absolutely gorgeous and she also was made the prize winner! We were so happy!! Shantel was absolutely amazing as well with making us feel welcomed and comfortable. She gave us all the information we needed in order to help launch my daughter's modelling career. Amazing team from an amazing company. I would definitely recommend them. Oh and my daughter approves this message 😁.

Had the most wonderful experience with my 10 yr old child we were all made so wellcome child was put at ease straight away hair and makeup done natural photographer was so paitient and able to get the best shoot for her would 100% recomend glow up kids and manchester modeling school

Contact with Glow up kids was great from the initial phone call the environment at reception was very comfy and inviting Staff were all very welcoming and professional,
young Natasha did an amazing job with the photography making my child easy into the poses & Mandy helped out a lot working hard running upstairs and back down
we were offered beverages and snacks and staff were eager to make your experience enjoyable (even straightened my child hair again at her request)

Absolutely amazing experience with Glow Up Kids! From start to finish, my children were treated like royalty and made to feel so special. The makeup was flawless, the studio setup was truly breathtaking, and the final photos were nothing short of outstanding.

The whole experience felt magical, and the attention to detail was incredible. We’ve already decided we’ll be back for a birthday treat.

I came to glow up studios with my girl for a photoshoot. And she absolutely loved it! Strutting her stuff down the catwalk. & glow up studios made us feel so welcome and comfortable. It’s such a homely place. & the make up artist and photographer was great with my girl. made her feel super confident. & we got some beautiful pictures. I think it’s great their they adapt to all agers and make the shoot age appropriate for the age of the child as well. Thank you to glow up studio my daughter had a great birthday photoshoot.

I visited Glow Up Kids with my daughter, and it turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences we’ve had together. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was so welcoming, positive, and full of energy.
What really stood out was the impact it had on my daughter. She left feeling more confident, happy, and proud of herself than I’ve ever seen before. The whole experience is designed in such a thoughtful way that it genuinely boosts self-esteem while still being fun and engaging.
Seeing her come out of her shell, smile more, and truly enjoy expressing herself was so special as a parent. The team clearly care about what they do, and it shows in every detail.
I can honestly say it gave her the best confidence boost ever, and that’s something that will stay with her. I would highly recommend Glow Up Kids to any parent looking to give their child a positive, uplifting experience.

I took my 2 children to glow up kids and it was amazing! They loved having their hair and makeup done and the makeup artist was so friendly. The receptionist Olivia was wonderful getting me andy children drinks and snacks and making sure we knew exactly what was happening on the day. The photographer was also lovely making my children have the best time. The images were amazing and definitely worth the long travel. I would definitely recommend glow up kids if you want your children to have a photoshoot.

Amazing!!

Brought my daughter for a photoshoot, she absolutely loved it at glow up kids. All staff was amazing from start to finish she absolutely loved the makeover and performing on the runway. She’s now pestering me to get into Modeling which I love because it’s given her a boost of confidence. I would highly recommend this place. The cherry on top was the beautiful Images. 10/10

I had a lovely day at Glow Up Kids! My daughter feels so beautiful in herself, and the confidence she came away with is priceless. The studio staff were so welcoming and made her feel comfortable the moment we arrived, which meant so much. She had a mini makeover that was perfectly age-appropriate, and the photographer was absolutely amazing — my daughter was able to show off her true sassy self! She hasn’t stopped talking about her experience since we visited on the weekend. The whole team made her feel so special from start to finish. Highly recommend!

My two children had the most amazing time at Glow Up Kids. We arrived and we were greeted with refreshments, my two daughters love to dress up and play with makeup so their mini makeovers were a fantastic part of the experience for them. Both had their hair curled, nails painted and little bit of blush and lip gloss, nothing too overwhelming so they still looked like kids. The photo shoot it self, I couldn’t fault, the photographer was fantastic with both of my girls, and very patient between each outfit change as they couldn’t decide what to wear after bringing a suitcase full.

The studio itself is amazing, a mini light up runway for the kids, Barbie box and lots of props to use like sunglasses, furry coats and tiaras. We waited about an hour after the shoot to view the images so to view them on the same day was also amazing. They turned out faultless and packages are priced quite reasonable compared to other places I’ve been too, starting from around £300 paid monthly too if you wanted too.

I would definitely recommend Glow Up Kids to anyone with young daughters, I’ve already booked in my family shoot for the Summer, can’t wait x

I am writing this review after several weeks of trying to resolve a complaint directly with Glow Up kids.

We attended a photoshoot that was advertised as a “free empowerment experience.” This was a key factor in attending, as my daughter is 14, has autism and significant mental health difficulties, and we believed this would be a supportive and confidence-building experience.

When we arrived, we were made to wait for over an hour and were told we could either wait or leave and come back later. This created a difficult start to the appointment.

The viewing session was then rushed, and I was expected to review and make decisions on images quickly before leaving. I did not have the opportunity to properly assess the images at the time, particularly as I was doing so in front of my daughter.

During the appointment, I was made to feel uncomfortable by comments from a staff member, including being described as “sexy” in front of my 14-year-old child. I found this inappropriate.

There were also occasions where comments were directed toward my daughter during discussions about packages, which made the situation feel uncomfortable given her vulnerabilities.

When I later received the images, I was not satisfied with them. In my view, they were overly edited and not suitable for the purpose that had been described. I raised this the following day and clearly stated that I did not wish to proceed with the portfolio or continue with the purchase.

Despite this, I was contacted about progressing the portfolio and asked to confirm image selections, which I had already declined. I also requested a clear breakdown of what the £1,500 package represented and clarification of what was meant by “full copyright,” but this has not been properly explained.

I made repeated attempts to resolve this matter, including explaining the impact this situation was having on my family, particularly my mother who is unwell. Despite this, there were prolonged periods where my correspondence was not responded to.

I am also concerned that Glow Up Kids have publicly suggested this was a completely separate business, yet Glow Up Kids is named on the finance documentation connected to this transaction. As a customer, there was no clear distinction made at the point of booking, attendance, or payment that I was dealing with an entirely separate entity under different terms.

I have retained copies of all emails and messages relating to this matter, including instances where concerns were raised and not addressed.

As a result, I am now pursuing this matter through formal channels.

I would advise others to ensure they fully understand what is included in any package and to take time to properly review all images before agreeing to any purchase.

Response to glow up

For clarity, the appointment was arranged following contact and advertising linked to the Glow Up brand, and there was no clear distinction made at the point of booking that the experience would be with a separate entity operating under different terms or an adult-only service.

The photoshoot and viewing both took place within the same premises, where adult shoots were also being carried out at the time. At no stage was it explained that this was an adult-only environment or that the experience would involve content or language not appropriate in the presence of a minor. My daughter’s presence was known throughout the appointment. The lady who was doing my daughter’s hair and makeup would have known this was inappropriate as she was aware of her age. So yes as I’ve said, it was inappropriate. When she was trying to talk me into a boudoir shoot repeatedly, calling me sexy, my daughter was sat next to me. So yes, she was aware of her age.

If separate businesses are operating under the same brand and within the same location, then clear and transparent communication at the point of booking would be expected, particularly where safeguarding considerations are involved.

My review reflects my experience of the booking process, the appointment itself, and the subsequent handling of my complaint, which remains unresolved.

My daughter had a fabulous photo shoot. All the ladies made us feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely the boost my daughter needed.

I went down to glow up kids for a competition for my son and it was great from start to end. They are very welcoming and accommodating to your needs.
We had a great experience taking the pictures and seeing the images after. My son is now a lot more confident in front of the camera and can continue is modelling journey. Thanks to glow up kids

We have just had the most wonderful experience at my 7 year olds photo shoot.

All the staff were really lovely and made my daughter feel completely at ease.
The photographer was so patient and encouraging and really got the best out of the shots in such a gentle way.
I highly recommend this place for some beautiful shots of your children, by a talented photographer. I am beyond grateful for this experience and will definitely be back

My daughter Isabel won her photo shoot here at glow up kids, we was told to get there at 10 we was seen straight away starting with hair and make up, the lady was so lovely to her, didn’t wait longer tha 5 minutes to go into the shoot, she has such a great experience from start to finish, and she left feeling like a star, would highly recommend.
