Vivek Gulati ; Hip and Knee Surgeon Avis 

From the first appointment I found Mr Gulati very professional, very warm and welcoming as well as of course being very knowledgeable. We explored all of my options, and he was very detailed in explaining them to me. Once we settled on an option he was very reassuring and had a very pleasant bedside manner, a day later and I am already noticing a massive difference. Thank you Mr Gulati!!!!!

I am pleased to report that Dr Gulati successfully performed my recent hip replacement surgery. Before the operation, I took lots of strong painkillers daily and was miserable, but now I have a new lease on life. Dr Gulati was proactive and knowledgeable, caring, attentive, and considerate. I would recommend him to anyone needing the same or similar treatment.

I asked for a referral to The Homerton in November 2021 and saw Vivek Gulati. I'd heard great things about the Trauma and Orthopaedic team and was not disappointed. From the first meeting to my total hip replacement on August 31st of this year (2022) I have experienced a Gold standard in both pre and post care. The communication was first class and I felt listened to and treated with utmost dignity at all stages of being Mr. Gulati's patient. I can't thank him and his team enough and got my 6 week check up today and feel great. I'll be back to get a knee replacement next year and won't be worried at all about the procedure. All staff at The Homerton are just so polite, caring and fully engaged with patients. Post op care via a referral by Ward 2012 staff to Waltham Forest NELF team has also been first rate. An all round excellent experience. I have conveyed my thoughts to the Patient Experience team at the Homerton Trust as I believe that great service delivery should be recognised and I really hope they take the time to congratulate their dedicated staff. I had a knee replacement on 5th May and I could not have been in better hands I was treated with kindness and respect from start to finish by him and his team, my knee is feeling really good and won't hesitate to get the other one done by Mr. Gulati.

I recommend Dr Gulati without reservation. I hurt my knee in 2018 and after 3 years of pain I finally got a chance to see an orthopaedic and very fortunately it was Dr Gulati that I saw. He diagnosed me quickly and detailed the options I had. I went for a microfracture operation as recommended as it is the procedure that will most likely solve the issue.

The operation went very smoothly and if anything, the needle holes in my hands for the drip hurt more than the actual openings made in my knee. My recovery has been very good as well, no substantial swelling or any complication. I am 10 weeks on from surgery and I am already doing some light exercises. In fact I was off crutches and brace after 4 weeks when usually it should be 6 weeks minimum for being on crutches.

Can be happier and looking forward to being active again. All this was possible because of Dr Gulati.

Had knee surgery in March 2021from Dr Gulati. After waiting months on a knee brace he fast tracked my surgery date as I was in a lot of pain for a very long time,with a lot of damage in my knee. Great doctor glad to have been sorted out now.

I was introduced to Vivek Gulati January 2020 when I was very distressed during a chaotic Homerton hospital appointment. He reassured me,promising hip replacement surgery in approximately 8 weeks. Unfortunately the pandemic put an end to any appointments from April onwards so I was virtually crippled..In September I was examined by Muhammad Ali (registrar).Suddenly I was asked if I would like to be admitted to The London Independent for surgery by Mr Gulati and his team..He was kind and gentle and made sure I understood everything about the procedure and aftercare. I have bad pain over a year seen many drs now recieved a consultation call from surgeon dr gulati and he is extremly caring and explained the promblem really clearly and reassuring . He calmed me and really cared thank you dr samuel

I was referred to Mr Gulati over two years ago with persistent hip pain which was diagnosed as Bursitis for which I received a course of steroid injections. During the course of my treatment it became apparent that the opposite knee was is dire need of replacement and may have been the cause of the hip pain in the first place due to poor alignment. Because I had a femoral nail in place from an old fractured femur I had to have a different type of replacement knee. The op was very successful and I completed all the physio as prescribed. I was kept informed throughout my treatment and my questions and concerns were fully answered. I am an exercise instructor so it was important to be able to regain full mobility and strength which I did. However within 9-months my hip problem flared up again and I was scheduled for another injection. Mr Gulati intervened having seen my recent x-rays and discussed a full replacement with me as a better option to which I agreed. I received the operation just prior to the November lockdown and cannot fault the treatment that I had. The surgeons, anaesthetist, the support staff, nurses and physio's were all very professional, caring and informative. I am now completely pain free but still working on developing full strength. Thank you Mr Gulati and all involved in my treatments. If you are worried about having your hip or knee replaced, I can fully recommend Mr Gulati and his team.

I was referred to Mr Vivek Gulati by my GP due to persistent right hip pain which radiated down to the top of my right foot. He conducted an excellent assessment and arrived at a diagnosis of hip ball and socket joint inflammation which required treatment by injection into the inflamed joint. On a scale of 0-10 my discomfort is now down to 2 from 10 and improving with accompanying specific hip exercises. His demeanour and overall treatment was excellent and helped to put my mind at rest and now I’m on my way to hopefully a full recovery (I must emphasize that I haven’t needed a single pain-killer since my procedure and hopefully I won’t require any)

I meet mr Gulati 12 months after my hip replacement surgery because I had severe pain. He made sure I take all the test possible in order to make sure there is nothing wrong with my implant, my tisue or my muscle. He also asked me to do a blood test. He realy made me feel on good hands. Thank you!
