App does terrible job estimating time until cab will arrive

I used Curb several times during a visit to NYC. Each time the app would say the driver is 5 min away for 15+ minutes. It seems they haven't done anything to make the service adjust time estimates based on actual traffic. It was so bad when we were trying to catch a cab to the airport that we had to abandon the app requested cab and go hail a cab on the street, to get to the airport in time. I'm sure the company is going to charge me for that. They've lost my business with this experience.

1 Star – Terrible experience with Curb. Avoid!
Last Saturday, returning from Punta Cana, I booked a yellow cab through the Curb app and it was awful.
They charged me for a toll on a road we never took — complete scam.
The driver was rude and aggressively demanded around $60 tip, claiming it was “mandatory” and that he decides the amount. I felt harassed.
This is the second time I’ve had serious issues with Curb and yellow cabs.
Never again. Stick with Uber or Lyft instead. Avoid yellow 🚕

SCAM - CHARGED TWICE

March 19/26 Update:
REFUND DENIED - WHY IS NYC CONTRACTING SUCH AN UNLAWFUL COMPANY

This company has no morals whatsoever. They confirmed that they charged me twice and refused to provide a refund. When I attempted to pay via Credit Card, it showed declined, so I paid cash. I then noticed I was also charged via Credit Card. I reached out and they refused to offer a refund even after confirming they received two payments.

I took this taxi from the Las Vegas…

I took this taxi from the Las Vegas Airport to my hotel. This was my first encounter on US soil. When I wanted to pay on his terminal, he said, just press the "30" 'and pay'.
As stupid as I was I did it, so I gave him a 30% tip for a 3 miles ride. WOW.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO I WOULD. FIRST OF ALL DONT EVER TAKE TAXI 3574. THE GUY PURPOSELY WENT THE WRONG WAY TO CHARGE MORE THEN TRIED TO EXTORT 40$ FROM ME. MY TRIP WAS A TOTAL OF 1.9 MILES. HE DIDNT HELP US GET THE BAGS OUT OF THE TRUNK AND AFTER I GOT THE LAST BAG OUT HE DROVE OFF WITH MY DAUGHTER'S WALLET STILL IN HIS VEHICLE. SHE HAD 232 DOLLARS IN IT AND HER IMPORTANT CARDS. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT AWAY AND THEY WERE USELESS. THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETE TRASH.

Stay away

Stay away. We got a taxi from this company last week. After been in the taxi over 1hour, the driver stopped and said,,Your hotel is on the right. There was scaffolding up beside us ,and having two kids in tow,we foolishly got out. We paid and paid a 16% tip and got out. However our hotel was not on the right ,no hotel was, we have to walk 14mins with 5 suitcases ,and two children to our hotel. Absolutely disgusting to do

I would rate 0 if I could

I would rate 0 if I could. Horrible app and experience. During the ride, I added my payment method and linked to the cab. At drop off, the driver begged me to pay cash instead, which I did, assuming I just wouldn't use the app to pay. But once he drove away, I got charged by the app for a double payment!

Honestly, the app needs the user to authorize payments. This is horrible! I am working to get my payment refunded.

Thank you for your feedback. When you enter the cab's pairing code into the app, you are authorizing the app to process your payment automatically when the driver ends the ride. You should not pay your driver directly as this will result in a duplicate payment. Horrible experience in Miami

Horrible experience in Miami. Driver stated he did not take the Curb app as payment and only accepted cash. Stupidly, because I was in a hurry I paid cash and was also immediately charged by Curb. Will never use this app and service again as they allow deceptive people to work for them.

Scum bags

Scum bags. My wife needed a ride for one mile in downtown Vegas. She was set up with a ride at the hotel pickup with these guys. While riding there making small talk the driver, Joey, 28 yrs old, decides to ask my wife if he could stop the cab and they have sex. She exclaimed multiple times she just wanted to get to her destination. He drove around the block 3 times racking up the charge and continued to press. Finally he ended up taking her to where she needed to be. What kind of company allows turds like that to work at their business.

It's been THREE WEEKS that I've been…

It's been THREE WEEKS that I've been trying to set up an account. The app is garbage. Keeps telling me that my card has been declined. I called by bank.....there is absolutely nothing wrong with my card as I use it all the time. Ive gotten the same email response from "support" to uninstall the app, reinstall and reinstert all my info. I still get "your card has been declined" message. There is NO customer service for theis company, app. I'll continue to use Uber. It's a bit more expensive but their service is excellent and if there's an issue, there's NEVER a problem getting a prompt refund. What a shame that I thought it was a good thing giving business to yellow cabs. Obviously they don't care.

Unethical company

I checked my bags at curbside with Curb at Boston Logan airport, and they lied to me about the charge and processed double the amount. Their customer service just tried to wear me out with requests for information that is not available, even after I proved the charge. This is ah highly unethical company.

On Sunday a black woman was attacked

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, your driver (medallion 6G65) not only overcharged my friend more than $500 for a ride that should have cost under $30, but also refused to let her leave the vehicle. When she finally managed to get out, the driver allegedly followed her and physically assaulted her until a neighbor intervened and helped her to safety.

Your company must immediately:
• Issue a full refund for the ride
• Reverse the fraudulent charges
• Suspend this driver (medallion 6G65) from providing rides through your platform

This was a frightening, unlawful, and traumatic experience for my friend.

We urge your company to take swift and appropriate action to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, your driver (medallion 6G65) not only overcharged my friend by more than $500 for a ride that should have cost under $30 due to an apparent issue with your app, but also refused to let her exit the vehicle. Once she was able to get out, he stalked and physically assaulted her until a neighbor intervened.

This was a terrifying, unlawful, and unacceptable experience. Your company must immediately:
1. Refund the entire fare and reverse all erroneous charges.
2. Remove driver medallion 6G65 from your platform to prevent future incidents.

He then pulled her hair, punched her, and grabbed her shirt, continuing the assault inside her apartment building. No one intervened to help—except for her African-American female neighbor. Several white male bystanders stood and watched while she screamed for help. She still has the paid receipt for the cab ride.
The ride was $20 which was paid for !!

on sunday 14sep25 your driver (medallion 6G65) note only stole over $500 from my friend via a faulty issue on your app which should have been less than $30 but also would not let her out of his car | once she was able to get out this man stalked plus physically assaulted her until one of her neighbors came to her rescue

your company needs to not only refund her entire ride plus reverse the erroneous charges and finally prevent the driver (medallion 6G65) from picking up anyone using your app

this was a terrifying, terrible and illegal experience for her

your company MUST do the right thing

So we used the taxi from Miami…

So we used the taxi from Miami International Airport to go to cruise ship driver stated that he knew where the cruise ships were, and I followed where he was going on my map and told him that we weren’t going the right direction. He stated that he had just come from the icon Royal Caribbean ship. I said we are not going on a cruise on the icon and I gave him the address to where we’re supposed to go to get on the ship. He continue driving to the wrong port. I stated again you need to turn around and go back you’re going to the wrong port and I showed him the map on my phone of where he needed to go and let him use my phone to turn around and go back up 95 to Fort Lauderdale where our ship was after he said twice he knew where the port was, and I told him he was going to the wrong port. He finally admitted he was going to the wrong ship and turned around and took us back resulting in about 15 more miles that we had to go to get to our ship we had to pay $176 for a cab ride that should’ve been a half of this cost was made longer because he didn’t know where he was going. when we arrived at our port and we got checked at the gate. He rolled down the window so we could pay to get in the guard at the gate said you don’t pay here your taxi is this your first time here he said yes, so he didn’t know where he was going, and we kept trying to tell him he didn’t know where he was going, and he still ignored us. Learn how to use Uber. Don’t use a taxi in Miami.

Pay before you ride, no show cab, no refund

Curb charges you for your ride before your driver ever arrives. And you'll never get your money back. The cab drivers also have no incentive to pick you up. They will leave you standing on the Curb while you wait for another driver. I took another cab when I was left standing on the Curb for 30 minutes, and the exact same trip was $8 cheaper. If you'd like to spend your money for the opportunity to stand on the Curb watching taxis drive by, this is the app for you. This is an absolute scam. Don't ever download this app!!!!!!

Our records indicate that your driver arrived almost immediately and waited several minutes before marking the ride as missed and departing. It seems the two of you somehow had some trouble locating one another. Please note that you have not been charged anything, and Curb never charges riders in advance. A temporary hold was placed at booking, but this hold was voided when your driver marked the ride as missed.

42 miles and $196 fare? I should not have paid the fare and had him call the police or return me back. Before putting a dispute with my CC I reach out to them and didn't get anywhere. Just look at their reviews in the toilet lol
