I love Gotextbooks so much they have excellent and fast shipping and their customer service is the most excellent I have ever experienced.. I was lost on what book I needed how I was going to get it on time and they went beyond to help me get the book that I needed thanks so much for your service.

Sent out my college textbooks because I am broke and need the money. Tracking number confirms delivery on 9/9. I email support today that I have heard no correspondence since my books were delivered. They email me back saying they’ll get back to me within 7 business days. What the hell is that? I want my money!!!!! Will go to better business bureau if I am not issued my refund asap!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT TO ANSWER REPLY******your company should be emailing the customer when you receive their shipment like any good company would do! As long as I get my refund in 7-10 days like I was promised today, I will rewrite my review! Melissa was super helpful!!!

I had a great experience with Go Textbooks. I received the quoted price for my books. I was a bit confused on the sale so I sent an e-mail to the customer service department for help. They got back to me right away and answered my questions thoroughly. I will be using this service again!

I had an item that needed clarification.
Melissa was great and researched my order and helped process my return refund.
My daughter got a check for 40.37. It BOUNCED and the bank charged her a $12 fee. Scam, scam, scam.

This company is a scam. So messed up to steal from students just trying to survive. Sent my books. Never heard from them again. Can't find a contact to reach out to for my check. Nothing, they have no information on their website. How is this even legal. And shame on Chegg for directing me to this website. Special place in Hell for you.

Sent perfect condition textbooks to them with their provided shipping label. Waited the 5 business days per website to contact them about why I haven't heard anything from them. They claim package wasn't received. Shows delivered to their dock. I was advised to file a claim with UPS. Not able to on their website as there is no account number linked to their shipping label. If you don't want any money for your books you paid hundreds of dollars for go with this company. If not, go with another company. I will update if they respond and provide refund for books. Until then review stands......
UPDATE: After emails back and forth with Michael about me reaching out to UPS. And UPS saying they couldn't file a claim due to me being a 3rd party, somehow the books must have made a miraculous appearance. I was finally issued a refund. They still only get 2 stars for all the back and forth between them and UPS and unnecessary delays.

Wow, I got dupped! I should have believed the poor reviews, so please take it from me and avoid this company. I sent in numerous textbooks in excellent condition (some were brand new), and they paid me for only a quarter of them. Now they will resell the books at top dollar. Again, think twice before you use Gotextbooks. I do not believe they are reputable.

This company is as asinine and shady as it gets. I got quoted for a textbook, went out and bought the packaging and spent the gas money to get to a drop off box. They tell me it’s rejected when the book is in great condition and the only reasoning was “instructors edition/sticker damage” when I sent the book off I saw no issues relating to that. And guess what? If you want your book back you have to PAY for your own shipping label to get it back. Otherwise they “destroy” it. This company is one huge scheme.
Update 5/6/23: Although gotextbooks claims they refunded my account, I emailed them (specifically Michael) the same day 7/14/22 letting them know I did NOT receive a refund, haven’t heard back from them or received a penny. I hope no one else is tricked into this con but unfortunately I see there are still reviews in 2023 showing otherwise.

Was quoted over $100 for 2 textbooks, one was barely even used. Received a payment of $17 and there’s no way to get the books back.

Zero stars. I started with Chegg, filled out ALL the online forms to be rerouted to GoTextbooks (apparently now merged). Have to open a NEW account, do all the forms again. Get quote. Accept. WON'T GO THROUGH. Try again later. Same drill. Send email to support. Get condescending reply that they do "thousands of transactions a day" and I'm the only one having an issue. Right. Try again a couple days later. They accept 2 of 3 books this time, but the offer has gotten better. I accept and send in the books. 3rd book FINALLY gets accepted two hours later but is "below the $18 minimum to process for a check." Terrific. I finally get my check and, rather than the $79 quoted, it's $43 with no explanation. I'm done. Gonna cash my check and never use them again. Boo on them, too--I'm a professional declutterer and used to recommend Chegg to my clients and list them on my resource list that goes far and wide. NOT. ANYMORE.
I wish i could give them zero star. At first, they said one of my book is rejected and i can either send them a label for returning or they destroy the book for me. Of course I want my book back, who know what they are going to do with it. And then couple days later, Michael sent me an email said "your item was taken from one of our esteemed counterfeit inspectors and was deemed to have counterfeit characteristics. By law, we are to send the book to the original publisher for further review", I was so confused. According to them, this process might take 90 days and if i want to find out more about my item, i need to contact the publisher of the book. How am i going to do that, and whether or not they send the book to the publisher?

Sent them a gently used textbook and got back that it was rejected. No explanation just rejected. I believe they reject most books and this is their way of reselling at biggest profit…as you have to pay the shipping to have them send it back. Beware!

I would give them 0 stars if possible. I should have known something was off when I got a higher quote than any other legitimate place. Got an email that my return was rejected due to water damage. The book was in good used condition when it left my house and most definitely did not have water damage. Then they want to charge me to have it returned to me.
Unreal.
Wish I would have gone with the reputable buy back resources and taken the lesser money right from the start.
