The Great British Adventure Club Avis 

I joined the Cadair Idris hike in March. Our guide Antony was absolutely brilliant. We had some really challenging windy weather which, for me, made the second day very tough. However Ant adapted the plan, kept moral high and found us some lovely spots to wildcamp and made us feel safe the whole time. The views on the first and last day were stunning (I’m sure on the second day too, just couldn’t see them!). I’m very glad I joined the GBAC trip and would love to do another!

I joined a women’s only wild camping trip in the Lakes in September 2025 - and it was excellent. The weather was great, the other guests were lovely, and our guide, Amy, was very helpful and fun. The hike was well planned in order for it to be doable while still being a physical challenge in parts. The sleeping kit I used was brand new and so good. I genuinely had one of the best nights sleep I’ve ever had which I wasn’t expecting. Can’t recommend the Great British Adventure Club enough and look forward to booking again!

My hike on Dartmoor was such a great experience!!
I had always wanted to get out and explore the Moors but have never planned a route and not being at all confident to read a map, wasn’t sure where to start.
When I met our guide on the day, Keith, I felt reassured knowing he was leading the way. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and gave me that confidence boost I needed.
I’m already planning my next trip with GBAC

Had such a wonderful hike with the Great British Adventure Club! Keith the guide is so knowledgeable and super approachable. Dartmoor is so wild and beautiful (and really hilly)
I love getting out for a hike but I have to admit I hate navigating and having someone lead the way and tell me about the area is a terrific way to do it. And given you never quite know what the moors might throw at you having an experienced mountain leader with you is so reassuring. Would definitely book again. Cheers Keith!

Great guide, great gear, great experience. Much better value than tour companies and the guides know their stuff and have a genuine love of the outdoors to share with you. Highly recommend!!!

I went on a wild camping trip booked through the GBAC. It was great - plenty of dates, very knowledgeable guides and the free gear was very high quality. I loved it. I’m looking forward to the next one!
