I had the most incredible day reupholstering an old dining room chair I bought on FB Marketplace. The end product is amazing.

David, the class leader, shared so many tips and tricks of the trade that far exceeded my expectations. This is a fun, relaxed environment. Not only did a produce something I’m proud of but it looks professional too.

There’s so many different courses to choose from that I’m already looking to do another. This old girl can still learn a thing or two!

A fun and useful DIY workshop with the opportunity to ask lots of questions and try things I had not done before such as drilling holes in bricks and using an electric saw!

Just been on a day router course with David at the Great British Woodshop and what a great day it was. I’m so glad I attended as I realised how little I actually knew and how dangerous these routers can be if you’ve not had any tuition.

David takes great care to ensure that you understand all aspects of these machines, the amazing things they can do and the dangers that can occur if you don’t pay attention.

He’s a great guy with a lovely personality - he made us all feel very welcome and comfortable from the off.

I’d have no hesitation in recommending The Great British Woodshop to anyone looking to better understand and enjoy using their routers, giving confidence to get out there and create, construct and be rewarded for their work.

The class was incredibly informative and gave me the confidence to tackle a range of tasks around my home. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get started with DIY.

David had an ease of manner making it a really comfortable learning experience and we got to try the three main power tools and accessories in a practical way before going out to buy any.

The DIY course gave a good overview of many things and if you then want to go on and attend a more specific workshop you can. The workshop was nice and small, two couples definitely and opportunity for us ladies to step up to the mark
I will be returning to do the specific tiling workshop

My partner and I signed up for the Intro to DIY Home Maintenance course and were blown away by David's teaching. The course intro'd many basic DIY skills (e.g. hanging pictures, putting up shelves, electricl & plumbing) that we felt we needed as recent first time homebuyers. David is a fountain of knowledge on all things DIY and we will definitely be back for future courses.

Just the most enjoyable day. I came away with so much more understanding. Great teacher, really interesting throughout. I’ll be back !!!

I can’t recommend David’s classes enough - straightforward, funny, engaging and very very useful. I’m so glad I went to the DIY and household repair class; it’s made me feel empowered and excited to get on with the jobs in my home that I’ve felt nervous about handling myself. Not any more!

Great day where we all learnt a lot, now we've got all the basics covered and can start handling projects small or big.

I have been doing DIY for many years so when my wife booked me on this course I did not expect to learn much. But from the very start I was learning new things, better ways to do what I have done many times, better tools and where to get them, getting broken tools fixed. I will very easily get me money back. Having just completed a days training at the Great British Woodshop I can honestly say that the day was outstanding. David's approach was thorough, clear and full of added value tips not just about Routers, (which was the purpose of the course), but also about many other useful aspects of woodworking. Very good value - highly recommended!

I attended Davids Spray Painting course yesterday and it was excellent . David spent a lot of time covering all elements required to give me a full understanding of both the equipment and process of spray painting , and I left full of confidence and ready to embark on new projects.
This is my second course with the Great British Woodshop , and today I booked my 3rd !
I can't recommend David enough so if your looking to gain confidence in any of the areas he covers it would be time well spent booking on a course !

Great day at the Great British Woodshop. Really informative, practical and well paced. David is a great teacher with a great deal of experience. Def recommend if you want to pick up new skills or learn the basics.

David is a font of knowledge. He delivers information about DIY in a clear and concise way. We covered lots of ground. I had no idea about even very simple stuff related to screw types!
