First time booking
I didn't feel that he was giving me time to ask questions - he was just getting my information and I had to call and correct the address that he wrote down.
Didn't give me time to ask questions, etc.

Professionals and all wearying were answered.

The man who took my booking got two things wrong, my companions last name and it does not look like I received a discount I was supposed to. I contacted back immediately but have not heard anything yet.

We were able to call and book with the AARP discount, and our agent got things done quickly and efficiently. The only reason we lowered our rating from 5 stars is that we had to call: we couldn't apply the discount through online booking.

Chris made the whole booking process a breeze. Only thing I didn’t like was that I was told I had to call Havila directly to request an upgraded suite. When I called Havila…they couldn’t fing my booking or reservations and told me it had to be requested by the booking agent. So, I called GRJ back and spoke to Abby. She said that was correct and she would send the request. A little bit of a run around for something I guess Chris should have known about rather than just giving me Havila s phone number.

Aldo, the tour agent who helped me with a quote for a tour in September 2026 handled my request with clear and direct knowledge of what I wanted. He sent me an email with the quote and in a few hours, we were able to close the deal.

Took over 1 hr to contact by phone. The rep took our full amount for trip but neglected to tell us there were only single accommodations. We had to call again to contact another person 3 days later to request a refund. We did get our money promptly but this left a bad taste. We tour Alaska railway last year and they were very good and well organized

I registered for a trip on August 31, 2026. I had several questions that I couldn't find the answers to on the website. I attempted to call, but my call was not answered by a person. I submitted a contact report with my question, but did not receive a response.

The customer service representative was pleasant and answered my questions. He told me that arrangements would need to be made and not to book travel until I had heard back from them. It has been three business days, and I have not heard whether my trip has been arranged or if adjustments are required. My credit card has been charged for a non-refundable deposit.

Renaja's patience and expertise made me come back to her specifically to book after dealing with an Amtrak booker with less of a bedside manner.
