Grenson Avis 

Been shopping with Grenson since 2011, and I’m always happy with the product. I love their brand, the story and heritage. There are very clear similarities between Grenson (in my opinion) and some of the historical Italian brands, that are often featured in news outlets etc.

Their designs, variety in lasts and looks, is oustanding. The quality is way above par. The equivalent value for money is hard find anywhere.

All this is tied together for me as a customer, by the magnificent service they provide. Be it VAT/Customs handling, returns, exchanges or merely a general inquiry about fit, last or size, I’ve always been treated kindly and with professionalism.

Ordered a pair of Milo Waterproof Chelsea Boots on 2nd June 2026. Order dispatched the same day. Tracking with DPD is excellent. Had them delivered to my local YEEP Locker. Absolutely great, they were ready to be collected the next day! The lovely red shoebox containing my new boots was packed in a substantial cardboard box to ensure my order arrived in perfect condition. Well worth the 6 quid shipping.
I am delighted with my new Milo WP boots. They are beautifully finished. The quality is superb, materials used and workmanship. They fit my feet so nicely, and are ever so comfy. This is my second pair of Milo boots, my first being a pair in tan leather which after 2 years regular wear still look fantastic and are equally as comfy. I cannot fault Grenson, their shoes and the service they provide is excellent.

When you write in, they don’t believe what you say

They do not help they merely pass the problem back to you

They have not solved the non-delivery issue

I still have not received my shoes, despite being told they would be delivered

Purchasing quality long term items generally requires some thinking time, especially in the current economic climate.
One purchase I don’t hesitate to make is Grenson footwear.
This year I’ve treated myself to two pairs of loafers, some boots and some beautiful suede brogues.
I’ve been buying direct from Grenson online for over a decade and keep returning because the footwear last so very well - both the quality and the look.
Delivery and accuracy and timelines are always excellent.

Fast delivery, really well packaged. The quality of the Fred boots with leather soles is just exceptional for the price, look great, really comfortable (obviously will be better after some time).

I sent a pair of my Grenson shoes, originally bought in 2017, to see if they could be resoled and restored. The quoted cost for the full service was £170. Unfortunately, they no longer had the sole I wanted, but despite this they completely cleaned and refreshed the shoes, added a new liner, and returned them to me by next-day delivery — all completely free of charge.

The customer service throughout was excellent: efficient, courteous and genuinely helpful. It is rare nowadays to find a company so committed to looking after its customers and standing behind its products. I would highly recommend Grenson and their shoes to anyone.

Very quick ,great shoes ,got in sale (as always)

My shoe collection passed 30 pairs a couple of years ago. Probably about 28 pairs were Grenson. It's hard to keep track exactly because I keep some in my wife's family home in Japan. It's a mixture of convenience and hiding my guilt.
With so many pairs dating back to about 2005 and crossing the styles from triple welt Archie to sneaker no.1 I think I definitely have an opinion on the Grenson range of shoes.
The plus has to be their experience of making classic benchmade shoes to as high a standard as most of the Northampton shoemakers. I'd expect something better of John Lobb's handmade bespoke costing thousands.
I live happily in my triple welt pavement crushers most of the year and summer the various colours of sneakers and suede shoes give the triple welts a chance to be resoled.
I was very happy with my collection until my feet decided to grow. That's made me think carefully about would I buy again or grab as I scrabble into the lifeboat if the situation should happen.
I do have a couple of grumbles about these shoes so this is not a complete a*#e licking review. The various leathers they use aren't always 5⭐. Rub off leather, one of those corrected leathers which are hard and uncomfortable on the feet and never became comfortable before I sold off the shoes. I feel these leathers are cheaper for them and less comfortable for me.
The other grouch is at the least sign of rain some leathers have white salty residue built up in the welt. I eventually learned how to tackle this problem but shoes sold in the UK should be fit for purpose so at least give some guidance on how to take care of the leathers.
I've bought 6 pairs in my new size in the last month so my addiction is not in hand. I love their shoes when all is good. Hate the stupid rubber soles that are intended for the young, dumb and upcoming customers. Buy online with care, I haven't always. In person is definitely better. Watch for the sales. They are good. Cash in on fools selling their wedding shoes on eBay. They are still my favourite shoes.

There’s no denying it Grenson make fantastic shoes. The quality, craftsmanship, and overall finish are excellent and the products themselves are genuinely hard to fault.

That said, my experience with customer service hasn’t matched the standard of the footwear. It’s been very difficult to get hold of anyone by phone, responses are often slow, and when it comes to refunds, the process feels far more drawn-out than it should be. In my case, I was told a refund had been issued, but weeks later I was still waiting and had to keep chasing for updates.

It’s a shame, because I’d happily buy from Grenson again but in today’s retail environment, returns and refunds need to be smooth and reliable, especially when sizing or fit might not be quite right. The shoes are brilliant, but the after-sales experience could really do with improvement.

They used to be good. Now they are awful. Poor quality - glue showing - sizes don't fit as they should - the list goes on.
