Being able to read the news from all perspectives in a clear and easy to read manner is beyond brilliant. The ability too see blindspots in thinking/reporting/understanding is invaluable in staying properly informed.

Current subscriber here. I am trying to cancel but they are refusing to cancel my subscription effective February 29, 2024. Forcing me to pay for an additional 10 months until 12-31-2024. My opinion is that it appears to me to be a poorly capitalized venture whose cash flow cannot sustain even a few cancellations.

Their ratings do not address the accuracy or factuality of the particular article being rated. Instead, their rating reflects what some other unconnected source only rates the overall publication that printed the article. So, no matter how factual the actual story is, Ground New's rating for an article appearing in the Huffington Post will always be "leans left" and an article appearing on Fox News will always be rated as "leans right." Who did not know that already????

WORTHLESS product that refuses to allow subscribers to cancel.

MY RATING is Ground News: "leans Highly Bogus."

I will never do business with this firm again.

I gave it two weeks, then I unsubscribed. I am disappointed. Ground news spends so much time trying to be "fair and balanced" and "both-sides" every issue, they forget about journalistic integrity. It is misleading to compare fox news, newsmax, and oan to responsible news outlets. THEY AREN'T NEWS. THEY ARE PROPAGANDA. One cannot compare them to true journalism. I don't think Ground News is evil, just naive, but in boosting fascist messaging, they are making the problem worse. Truth matters.

Several days ago, after trying, then uninstalling GroundNews, I pointed out in my review that I was disappointed with the service once I observed for a couple of weeks. I said that GroundNews was trying so hard to be "fair and balanced" that you lost sight of journalistic integrity.

Your reply, which I appreciated, only repeated the message from your marketing department, that groundnews was presenting different viewpoints. WHEN FOXNEWS, AND NEWSMAX, AND OAN are lying and you repeat what they say, THEN YOU ARE LYING. You cannot apply a strategy of reporting both sides of an issue when one side is reporting the facts and the other side is making things up. I applaud your attempt but the truth only has one side. Foxnews is nothing more than the propaganda organ of the republican party. When Chris Ruddy founded Newsmax it was to be a competitor to fox. When the trump cult formed, since he was a supporter of the worst, most corrupt, least qualified, pathological narcissist and liar that attained the presidency with the connivance of Russia, he rebranded as trump tv in all but name. OAN has direct ties to RT and Russia and is even more in the bag for trump. All three break every single tenet of responsible journalism.

I know this sounds like the rantings of an anti-maga nut job. Another tactic of the right. Their chants of "lock her up" make it awkward when one has to state truthfully that trump must be jailed. Their appropriation of the term "fake news" cannot be allowed to prevent those of us with ethics from calling out the lies reported by these three "networks".

It is not a matter of "opposing narratives". There is clear objective truth,  set against everything else.

Truth is ALL that matters currently. To repeat anything that is not the truth makes you complicit in misleading the American people, and you cannot straddle this line.

It is time to choose sides. Good and evil. I know where I stand, do you?

I appreciate your voluminous reply, but I know what Ground News is attempting to deliver to subscribers. We have no disagreement there. I do not need to erase far right propaganda with a "hide source" command. My point is that at least three of the "sources" you deliver are not legitimate journalistic concerns. They traffic in lies meant to manipulate the American public. Every time you cite a story from them, covering the disingenuous attempts to begin impeachment proceedings against President Joe Biden for example, GROUND NEWS becomes complicit in spreading the lie. You can deliver any ideology you want as long as it is factual. As long as it is the truth. I believe in the mission of Ground News. But until you fact check and ascertain the truth, you are no better than OAN or newsmax. In any case, those two outlets will quietly disappear as soon as we are rid of the maga cult. Fox News has done more harm to this nation - and the world - than all of the militaries that ever existed. Just take them out of your sources and - this is critical - announce that you have eliminated them and WHY you have done so. Your business model will not work until we eliminate misinformation and disinformation. For the conceivable future truth must be the only consideration.

When you want your news fast and accurate Ground News is where it comes together!

The approach by Ground News, revealing the sometimes very strong biases in the media, is in my opinion the readers only chance to understand why certain issues become so distorted.
This Company is offering a sorely needed insight in the actual media coverage.

Ground News is exactly what I was looking for in a news app and more. I'd mostly been using Google News, but I realized that it was tailoring what I saw to my own biases. That's not a bad thing for entertainment news, but it's not great for more serious topics.

Ground News helps me see stories from different perspectives and have a more grounded view(pun intended, sorry) on the world around me.

My only complaint is that the UI could use a little work, and it would be nice if you could open the stories in your own browser instead of through the app.

The AI generated summaries are really handy. Oftentimes that's all you need if there's little information on a topic available at the moment. It helps to cut through the unnecessary clutter and click-baity content that plagues online news articles.

Overall I strongly recommend giving it a go and deciding for yourself.

Ground news is groundbreaking! The best way to view trusted and non-biased news at a glance or in depth. I've shredded all other apps. What could make this better? The best customer service I've seen in a long time. This company has it together! Great job!

Ground News is the perfect News app. It gives its users a big-picture view of how the news is reported across platforms. Once you are exposed to the blind spots in the reporting you can see the divide. This is the perfect app for those who want to stay informed and have more empathy for others.

I came across this app after search party and Johnny Harris. Ground News changed my life and hopefully it will remain as a primary source of my information in foreseeable future. I love the map feature in this app.

Ground News is a phenomenal way to cut through the bias of ALL reporters and get to the reality of what's happening in the world. Before Ground News, I simply had to rely on knowing the bias of news reporting services and to rely on my knowledge of their tendencies to report or not report particular stories. Following world news from the USA was particularly difficult. Ground News does all that work for me -- and more. It is an easy compilation of the kinds of reporting that I want to see and need to see. It is presented in a format that is easy for me to filter through. I cannot recommend Ground News highly enough. They are really a miracle for people who want to keep up with what's happening in the world -- without the lens of reporters' biases.

What this team is doing is so important. It has become such a chore trying to find the facts on a topic, and trying to remain party neutral. Sadly, that goes for non-political topics as well.

This App is well thought out and is a quality tool to see through the noise in the Media today. I especially love the "Breakdown" section. It helps me keep my biases in check. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The app fills a much needed role in today's society. We could all benefit from exploring the same story from different angles, in a world where social media teaches you to only ever accept one side, one perpetual echo chamber.

I found the premium pricing to be very reasonable, and I would recommend Ground News to anyone who's interested in exploring news coverage while challenging our natural biases.

Good news app, easy to use. A helpful tool to get a balanced view of news of the world.

As an engineer, I was spending too much viewing Ground, reading articles, and wasting time. I decided to subscribe to a lower level, thinking I would waste less time. When I subscribed to Pro from Premium, Ground.news never gave me credit for the remaining time left on my Premium subscription. Maybe their software in not written correctly, but in any case, their system will not allow me to even contact them because they blocked me. They still have my money and never issued me a credit and won't allow me back on the site. P.S. I use Edge for viewing.

These days even the most well intended news outlets have bias. Ground News is an excellent tool for navigating the complex network of news sources in order to be a well informed consumer of information. A much needed app in a world saturated with conjecture.

This news feed is exactly what is needed in our society in 2023. There is so much misinformation and bad news being put into main stream outlets that no one who isn't really looking, researching and being discerning would be able to know what is the truth. Ground news needs to be on everyone's phone!!!

I must say I’m surprised it took so long for a service like this to surface. My Son, the ultimate sceptic, has been using Ground News for a while and swears by it. I have a history managing journalists in electronic media and still consume huge amounts of news copy daily striving to get as wide a variety of sources on a given story as possible. Ground is covering more waterfront than I could ever do myself. One caution, at the end of the free trial the notice that I was about to pay for the year went to my junk file and I got dinged. Not huge money and I’m happy to support this kind of journalist diligence but caveat emptor. I also think it’s a must have tool for any news room. Rush to download the app and tell your friends. In a time of fake news what better tonic?

Ground News is Ground Breaking ! Where else are you going to get a simple sliding scale on authorship of articles -- Conservative, Moderate or Liberal.

Especially these days, It really helps to know the source of the bias in the news.

Ground news is a wonderful news aggregator with some excellent tools to help skim and identify bias. It provides a great way for me to quickly read articles from all perspectives and is fully deserving of the premium subscription to access their extra goodies.
