Charging obscene amounts of money for barcodes.

I am trying to upload a CSV file and it fails but they give no indication why. I ring the support number at 10.30am and it says we are currently closed and open at 9.00am. what a joke.

The customer service was very unhelpful. I regret buying barcodes from them and will never do business with them again. When I tried to downgrade my renewal package from 1000 barcodes to 100 because I don't need that many, they said it was impossible. They only allow upgrades, not downgrades. That's essentially a rip-off and they charge me 10% more to renew my membership.

Incompentant in general, falsely claims if you want to sell anywhere online you must have their GS1 barcodes. Tries to make out it is a mandatory requirement, when it is not.

They have you by the short and curlies and don't they know it. I have given up trying to get any kind of service from them as they ignore support tickets and lie to you over the phone. Avoid like the plague if you can.

They are a band of corporate crooks who are unscrupulous about how they take and make money. Thieving b*stards who likely have never experienced hardship in their lives. Just because you fleece people for barcodes doesn't make you less greedy than a banker. Do not use them.
Awful company, this company takes your subscription knowing full well the barcodes don't work with Amazon, then they tell you to contact Amazon, and guess what? Amazon tell you to contact GS1! This is a money making racket!
This company has not given me a refund after a month of chasing and till not responded or sorted it out. Very poor customer service.
Dreadful customer service. No matter how many tickets you open they simply don't reply. Try phoning they'll leave you on hold forever. The sheer cost of the barcodes once you use your "free initial allocation" is eye watering,and they offer zero asistance going forward.
I had a problem on our account - my fault entirely - and had to contact GS1.
I cannot express enough how helpful the gentleman I spoke to was and resolved the problems and other helpful issues while I was on the phone to him.
It is a task these day trying to find a contact telephone let alone a helpful person on the end of the line who knows what they are talking about.
The whole process was fast and efficient - by far the best company I have had dealings with in a long time
Great service GS1
I have been a member of GS1 for two years and I have decided now I no longer need their services.
I duly contacted them to cancel my subscription and now four weeks in I am receiving emails interrogating me for confidential company information as to why I wish to leave.
I stated that I am not obliged to provide a reason and I am stuck in back and forth messages where this organisation refuses to simply close my account.
Beware of this company they are not legitimate and employ nefarious tactics should you simply wish to cancel your subscription and no longer use their services.
A company full of con artists and scamming everyone whoever make an account with them. They just want to lure you into making a account and then keeping active with costly yearly subscription, unless you want to lose your UPC codes rights. The customer service is also very poor, as they haven't got any idea what they are doing, you can't get a refund once you have paid for subscription if you decide to not ahead with using them UPC codes. I would recommend not using them at all, there are lot of cheaper companies which can issue UPC codes for less than $2 each.

I asked for a refund after 2 days because the GTIN doesn't work on Amazon and no one answear. So i started a complain with Ombudsman.
Don't buy nothing from them, they are worst services in the whole world.
terrible terrible website. couldn't process my payment and kept kicking me out. not working properly. chat window also super annoying.
Expensive for EANs and Amazon supposedly only let you sell if you have them.
Sneaky suspicion Amazon owns them
You need these numbers to sell on Amazon however both Amazon and GS1 don't care if someone is already using your issued numbers and allow others to hijack and use your numbers on their products.
