13-year-old house, they advised me an 8kW+ system 19 panels, EcoFlow 30 kW batteries, a heat pump and the whole system works great and I don't pay for heating and I also sell electricity to the grid to Octopus, so for now everything is on + Recommend

Had 16 panels and 15kw battery installed by Halo. Brilliant service. Very professional from start to finish. Initially spoke on the phone to go through my requirements and explained the certificates needed for seeking excess power back to the grid, which not all installers have, but halo does. On install day everything went smoothly. All the installers were very professional and polite. They cleaned up everything when they were finished. Once everything was installed and switched on they ran me through how the app to monitor the system works. Would highly recommend and would use again for any future work.

I was looking at Solar in Feb 2025, was struggling to get anyone to quote, presumably because they're all so busy at that time of year with enquiries. I wanted to use a local firm if possible.

Matthew at Halo called me within hours of being given my details and he recommended not using micro-inverters but 2 strings into a string inverter because we have an east/west roof but crucially no trees anywhere around to shade. Other quoters pushed really hard for mico-inverters but Matthew said you'll get better value putting the same money into more battery storage. He was a lot less pushy than other installers and listened when I said I don't want to give Tesla my money (a few other quoters really pushed Tesla hard).

He provided a good quote with more panels than others and a decent amount of storage for the price. At this point I hesitated because I checked Trustpilot reviews and I noticed that all of the bad reviews complained about exactly the same thing - terrible post-install service. I did note that none of the bad reviews were recent on the other hand. I just asked him about it over Email and he called and explained yes post-covid they'd had issues and lacked capacity so service wasn't great at the time but he was confident everything had really improved and he conveyed that he did want happy customers. He offered to put me in touch with a recent customer and he did; I spoke to someone and saw their install and he gave them a glowing review having used Matthew in his previous property and then just had an install done at his new house.

The final two reasons I decided to go with Halo was that they were offering a 3-5 week lead time vs other installers who said 10+, and Matthew offered 460w panels instead of the 455w quoted as they were just becoming available.

Install was confirmed quickly and started 4 weeks after agreeing the quote; this turned out to be a little optimistic for their supply chain...

On day one of the install they arrived without panels because they said they hadn't been delivered. They also came without a wall mount for the battery (I didn't have a hard ground surface just grass right up to the house) as it was out of stock with their supplier, so had to install the batteries standing on a scaffolding plank as a temporary solution. I was promised they would fit the wall mount as soon as it arrived.

Bradley got the batteries up and running however they had to book in to come back the next day hopefully after having panels delivered. Mid-morning on the second day they did come back with 16 panels but they were 445w instead of 460w panels promised. They blamed this on their supplier.

Things go wrong, It happens, from a customer's point of view what matters is how these things get resolved. I spoke to Matthew direct and having discussed with his installer on site they calculated they could actually fit six more panels than originally designed in the space. Matthew gave me a free 445w panel to make up for the wattage difference from the quote and we agreed a decent price for the other five so I actually managed to get a higher kwp system than designed. I didn't want to wait for 460w panels to arrive with scaffolding around the house and the sun getting longer every day so went with it. Happy with that result!

I paid the final balance to get the MCS certificate so I could start exporting to the grid asap; I would normally have waited for the install to be totally finished and the wall mount sorted to ensure they did come back and do it.

I got a text from Matthew after a few weeks to say the wall mount had been delivered to them, but it actually took quite a while and a lot of chasing to finally get the wall mount installed a touch shy of three months after the original install. Simple job, only took about 45 minutes.

Overall I'm really happy, good sales experience, excellent system recommended (Ecoflow Powerocean), no issues running it, neat install, decent installers, after-sales service has been friendly and helpful when I contacted them. I know going back to swap out a floor for a wall mount isn't the highest priority when they have a long list of installs to get on with (good for them I guess) but I did feel a touch forgotten about after they had my money. Having said that, I'd happily recommend them and would use them again except I don't plan on moving having just sunk all that money into a PV system :D

Good communication and advice prior to booking from Matthew, competitive quote, excellent installation, on time and quick, and all workmen were friendly and helpful.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, the only thing not organised was sunshine on the install day!

Very highly recommended. Had a 14 panel system split across flat and pitched roof installed, with 9Kv batteries. Very professional throughout survey and installation, ran all cables tidily and discretely where requested. System working very well, one brief issue since installation was quickly responded to and resolved by them. Expect to use them again for subsequent battery storage capacity upgrade.

After being conned by another company, was very wary, but they did a great job, nothing was too much trouble for the fitters. Now just waiting for the certificates. Have already recommended to a neighbour

I have had a solar panel and battery setup installed and am very happy with everything from the quote, advice received and install. My setup is now charging my batteries and exporting to the grid which is covering my house electric usage plus I am receiving money from exporting the surplus. Great service, great products and would highly recommend to others.

The team worked hard, were polite and respectful of my house, they did a great job and had everything fitted and working much faster than I expected. Halo have been great from first contact until completion. Matt responded to any queries I had, and was more than adaptable when I requested a change of manufacture for my battery and Inverter.
The panel installation team of Tomaz, Ashton & Riley, and the electrician Bradley were great. Readily answered any questions I had, and left everything neat and tidy, and I thank them for their hard work.
Tommy and the accounts department supplied all the relevant certs and insurances, the day after installation, so that I could register system with my energy supplier.
All in all a good experience.

Halo where brilliant from start to finish. Had 6 quotes from company's for my solar and battery installation while not the cheapest halo where definitely the most knowledgeable. Lawrence was brilliant at explaining everything in the survey. Matthew was there to answer any questions I had which was plenty. Installation was only 1 day which was carried out by Tomaz and Bradley both fantastic tradesman. Very tidy and neat with the cable runs. Would recommend Halo Renewables to anyone wanting Renewable energy.

From the start a pre survey was done at our home , and the communication and product choice options and installation knowledge experience was spot on, Tailor made to suite our home and Budget, really competitive and a lot cheaper than the other 3 companies were I got 3 quotes.
Also Halo have been doing this for while.With great reviews , also have vast history with installation and products. So any unforeseen problem solving issues on the day made it a breeze to resolve . Not that we had any.
Being a large family of 8, we needed a system which could support our heavy usage . We opted for 32 solar panels and 2 qty powerwall 3 with a gateway fitted in the cloak room .
The 2 powerwalls 3 were fitted on the external garden wall. Plus Tesla Ev charger which was fitted and cables hidden with perfection , The Mains cable feeding the 2 powerwall and data cable was approx 50m away from the main dwelling . Cable installation was really tidy and secured all the way around the boundary correctly and secured with wall plug and screws every 10” apart in a straight level line. Bradley the electrician took all most all day installing this. Solar panels were fitted as per my layout request on the days and I was so impressed with the same quality of the installation. Care taken on the roof with tiles and every thing went back correctly and secured. Cables were hidden really well, can’t see any cables …👍🏾The whole installation took 3 days and the experience was honestly brilliant 🤩. I’m so glad I used Halo Renewables as they went above expectations and quality of workmanship and trust, It was a great experience. I would 💯 percent recommend Halo 😇. In the last week I have been of grid for 4 days 🤫🫢 should of done this a while ago. The other habit i find im all ways checking the Tesla App of current usage and battery level.
Lastly a big thank you to Matthew great honest advice and helped me with a few unforeseen issues. He went out his way to deliver what he sold 🫡. Scaffolding went up and was down with in 7 days. Great service all round.

From the beginning, the advice and support provided by Matthew to select the right system was excellent. Tommy made the purchase process and booking nice and easy. The fitting team (Thomas and Bradley) were very professionals and made a great job. Also, the pricing is very competitive.

Excellent service from Halo Renewables. From our first phone call to them and subsequent home visit, Mathew was able to answer all of our questions and queries, the communications from Tommy in the office were spot on - keeping us informed on the DNO application and booking the install date. Bradley and Thomasz, the installers, were 1st class and provided a 5 star install - nothing was too much for them. The scaffolders were top notch too - set up at 7:30am and removed by 3:30pm the same day!!

Halo Renewables supplied and installed my solar panels and battery pack. The entire process from start to finish was very professional. Even the scaffolding installation was very smooth and efficient. They removed the scaffolding immediately after the panels were installed. There cost is very competitive and I’m glad I’ve used them after receiving serval other quotes. They are highly recommended.

I had my solar system and battery installed by halo renewables and I am very happy with it. I spent about a month gathering quotes from several companies who all recommend different equipment. Halo quoted for 15kwh ecoflow powerocean battery 6kw inverter and 16 solar panels fitted to 2 separate elevations. The quote was very competitive and cheaper than most of my quotes. The panels fitted are aiko brand which are in my opinion a good choice. The ecoflow battery had a 15 year warranty which was a big deciding factor for me, also the batteries are heated and have fire suppression built in. On day of install, considering the layout, I decided that I would like an extra panel to complete the look. The installers Bradley and Tomas fitted the extra rails to accommodate the extra panel, 2 days later they returned to fit the extra panel. The install was quick and efficient and very neat and tidy ( I am an electrician myself, so I can positively say that the install is as it should be). Bradley put in alot of effort to ensure I had minimal cable surface mounted to the external of my house which I was very impressed with as he definitely did not take the easy route.
I did have an issue a few days after install where the RCD tripped out. I contacted the company owner and he was very quick in his reply and organising a return visit to replace the RCD, due to this I can also say that I am very happy with the after sales service so far. The electrician has also personally followed up with me to make sure all is still ok.

The ecoflow app is very good and very user friendly compared to other app I have seen/used. I also have 8 tigo optimizers on 1 string of the system that are all working well.

All of my certification and relevant documents was sent to me by email within a few days after install so I was able to apply for SEG quickly.

Overall I would recommend halo renewables to anyone looking for a future install.
