Harland Clarke Avis 113

Placed order on 3/21/2026 for PNC bank checks and was charged $22.79 for special shipping. Today 3/25 we received the Bank Checks order and found that it was shipped via USPS Ground Advantage which only costs $5.03 for commercial rates. Hartland Clarke is overcharging for the shipping. I tried to call the Hartland Clarke customer service this afternoon and asked to speak with the supervisor/manager, but after 30 minutes I finally gave up.

Hartland Clarke must refund the shipping overcharge.

It took a month to receive the checks, so I changed to a different company.

They transposed the last two numbers on my checking account number and I ended up paying several fines before I realized it. The won't even refund my order. I will never use them again!

Tried to reorder checks but kept getting an error message saying they had no record of that bank account - even though they provided the checks before! Tried calling customer service but gave up after 30 min. Went to checkworks.com and had my checks ordered in less than 5 minutes and substantially cheaper than Harland Clark!

I received an email indicating I might need to order more checks. Sure enough, I was running low. I ordered more personal checks, and they arrived in 3 days. The starting check number was correct. I couldn't be happier with their service and checks. Thank you, Harland Clarke

I have used this company a few times and had no issues until this year. They decided on thier own to set me up with auto renewal. I purchase checks around every 6 to 7 years. They decided I needed them every year. This is not ok. Very shady.

Stay away! The employees in customer service are horrible. While awaiting my order, each time I contacted them I was told a different story. It is as if they don't really know what is going on. This company should not be allowed the responsibility of printing checks. Hopefully Congress or the Bank Regulators will look into them soon.

The cost to ship checks was astronomical and I went with the least expensive option they offered. I could've shipped an enormous piece of furniture or appliance for the amount they charged. The delivery was extremely SLOW...at least a week. Texas isn't far from Kansas so not sure why it took so long other than they were trying to teach me a lesson that I should pay the more expensive option to ship the next time I order.....jokes on them, I will never order checks again from them. I'd rather have a prostate exam from Edward Scissorhands.

I ordered checks. $28.57 for 40 checks. They didn't arrive. So now I am reordering. I just realized that I don't have to go through Harland. I've always used them because my bank website sends me to them. However, there are many less expensive alternatives and I will use one of those next time. Harland is way too expensive.

harlan clarke charged me $119 for 60 checks can be bought for $12.50 - complained they did nothing i was cheated stay away

Post Office returned my check for no apparent reason. They charged me for the checks anyway. When I asked them to resend them they charged me a tracking charge which they told me would be on them. When I called to have it reversed they said they would do it as a courtesy but it would take 2 weeks for the refund. Service department was extremely rude, interrupting when I was trying to explain the situation. Will NEVER order checks through them again!

They charge 50 dollars and change for a package of checks, and then send them the cheapest possible way. I will be lucky to ever receive them. Never again

Terrible! I’m still waiting on a simple order, a check book cover. It’s been over 3 weeks

I can’t for the life of me understand why it takes almost 2 months to get checks???!! WTH is wrong with you people.

Harland Clark has total disdain for their customers. You can NOT talk to a human. They force feed their inept bot on their customers. They want you to give them your routing number and they will automatically order checks and their order is WRONG. This is why I need to speak to a person. Any company who hates their own customers forces them into a bot loop, Damn Harland Clark!

I was charged 29.95 for tracking. They gave me no other option. And they reduced the number of checks from 100 to 60

I would give them a zero if I could. Ordermychecks.com is completely dysfunctional. Made four or five attempts on their website to reorder my checks. Each time the website said we are unable to locate your order history. Then made a phone call to order checks. Their phone system said we are unable to locate your order history. Asked to be routed to a representative. Was placed on hold for 20 minutes. When it sounded like it was going to ring through to finally talk to a human their system disconnected my call. Would never order from this company again. Use any other check printing company than ordermychecks.com!

Impossible to get to a live person for the simplest issue. They want you to do everything yourself via mobile app. and you still can't resolve issue. After 45 minutes on hold they could not help and had to go to my local bank branch. I made comment to my banks rep about my experience and they acknowledged that they have issues with Harland.

Order was wrong... ordered Savings account deposit slips, received Checking account deposit slips. Tried calling but left on-hold for over 30 minutes, hung up. Have tried emailing twice with NO response in over a week.
They automatically withdraw their charges from your bank account up front. So once your money is gone, whether your order was received correctly or not, you have no way to get a refund!
They have received my last dollar!! Done with them...

An absolute joke of a company!
ZERO ways to contact any meaningful customer service. Multiple incorrect checks sent. Orders take many weeks to get processed, and then they get sent to the incorrect address, not my address!
Waaayyy more expensive than my banks previous check provider.
And of course IF you do ever manage to get anyone at Harland-Clarke they will tell you that you must go through your bank to get anything fixed. Bank tells you Harland-Clarke is who you should contact, and no one accepts any responsibility, while being more than willing to make multiple charges to your account for their screw-ups!
