From the moment I stepped through the door at the Victoria Heights, Fixby showroom, Jacquie and Sandra couldn’t do enough to help. They were both extremely warm, polite and professional, going out of their way to find me my new home that met all my needs and requirements. They have sent me regular updates as the build has progressed and have taken me and my children for viewings, again nothing is too much hassle! I can’t speak highly enough of Sandra and Jacquie, they are both an absolute credit to Harron homes. Keep up the good work ladies!

Liam and I are in the process of buying our forever home at Shipley Lakeside. It’s the first time we have both been through this process and Charlotte has been incredibly helpful every step of the way.
So far we have reserved our plot, and picked our options which I found fairly stressful however when Charlotte realised we were struggling she stepped in to help us decide and we are so happy with the choices we picked.
From the 1st appointment, Charlotte has been very informative, and has been able to answer any questions we’ve had.
We get weekly updates from Charlotte as to where the property is on the build ws well as videos and pictures of the site and our plot.
Charlotte has really made the process feel very smooth so far and we can’t wait for the day we get to move into our home.
Once moved a completely I will leave another review of that process!

We have such a fantastic experience with Harron Homes already and with Michelle at Simpson Park.

I am a first buyer and from the moment I walked into Harron homes office, Sylvie our home compére was nothing short of fabulous..
She was attentive; thorough; paid attention to details and was so courteous.
She cared and didn’t think any question silly.
It was beautiful working with someone who wanted you to know the truth of everything and was willing to go the extra mile for her customers.
Thanks for giving us our first home through the absolutely amazing, gorgeous and smashing Sylvie in Derbyshire.

Ann our sales advisor (Brierley heath), was absolutely fabulous! She kept us up to date with the development of our new home, and sent lots of pictures during the build phase. Our move in was smooth, and all on site were caring and attentive. Loving the new home which sits in a beautiful setting looking over picturess countryside. We reserved our chosen plot a few months back at Bilsthorpe Chase and we have had such a great experience so far. Sarah in the sales office is so friendly, helpful, informative and down to earth and has a genuine interest in helping us out however she can. When we liased with Sharon at head office regarding exchange she was also so helpful. We were so impressed with the wide range of choices available when choosing our kitchen cabinets, worktops, bathroom tiles and flooring. The surrounding countryside seems to be fantastic for walking/dog walking too with such a quiet setting for the site which is one of the main things that drew us to the site initially. We cannot wait to move in and currently have no doubts that Sarah and Harron will support us completely through that process. Amy and Chris plot 73

We recently moved into our new home at Shipley Lakeside and it's the best decision we've ever made!
The process has been smooth from start to finish, which is mainly due to Charlotte, who was very helpful, with a great attention to detail and communicated well through the entire process - Charlotte is certainly a brilliant asset to Harron Homes and made the buying process a breeze!
We're overall very impressed with the build quality and although we had some snags (mostly small cosmetic issues), the site team (Richard and Jamie) have been working through our list.
I'd highly recommend Shipley Lakeside to anyone - a beautiful location and well built houses. Thank you and keep up the good work Charlotte, Helen, Richard and Jamie!!

Harron Homes at Simpson Park. We called in to view the show houses and was met by Michelle who was thoroughly professional, helpful and courteous, not pushy and nothing was too much trouble for her, she answered all our questions and made the viewing such a pleasure, so much so we have reserved a property today and would like to thank Michelle and all the team at Harron Homes for their hard work in making this possible.
We will give a honest review once we move in but I’m confident everything will be ok.

It’s such a shame that the majority of the sales team (Michelle at Simpson park) do an amazing job at looking after you for then there to be a huge down fall in customer service provided after sale.
The amount of time taken to even respond by customer care is unacceptable, and the amount of time taken constantly chasing them is unacceptable and disappointing.
Many issues left unsolved requiring us to report to the NHBC. Harron homes do not want to accept liability for anything! Only persistent nagging has resolved some of the minor issues.
Harron homes on the face are supposed to a luxury new home in comparison with other new builds, unfortunately they aren’t living up the “luxury” tag.

1 year in to buying and still awaiting repairs/snags.
Customer support take 3 months to email back and even then nothing comes from it.
False promises during buying, even after moving in!

Deeply Disappointed with Our New Home – Endless Issues and Poor Service
We purchased our property and received our keys on 20 December 2024. Sadly, what should have been a joyful move quickly turned into an ongoing nightmare.
Upon moving in, we found the house in an unacceptable condition. Basic attention to detail was missing, flies had been painted into window sills, banisters were left unvarnished, door handles were missing caps, and the fitted wardrobes were poorly installed with visible gaps. To make matters worse, we had no hot water for over a month, meaning we couldn’t even enjoy a basic bath.
The problems did not end there. Our garden remains bare, no turf due to water log issues, despite promises it would have been resolved in January. We are now approaching summer and have missed out on the sunshine that has come and gone as we still have no usable outdoor space. This has severely limited our ability to enjoy the property.
Serious installation faults were also present: heating in the en-suite positioned dangerously, close to the toilet meaning my hip had to burn unless I faced the opposite direction for the toilet. Due to poor fitting, a drawer fell off, and ongoing issues with floorboards creaking loudly with every step upstairs. The floors have no mastic sealant, leaving gaps between the skirting and floor, leaving gaps that will soon fill with dust, dirt and water that might go under the floor. We also had a bedroom window crack spontaneously while the room was unoccupied.
Beyond the poor workmanship, the service has been extremely frustrating. We have lost hours and hours of work, waiting for contractors who often either did not show up or leave jobs incomplete. Several managers visited, made promises, but real progress has been minimal. It was more like to make us think that things were being actioned.
If you are considering buying from Harron Homes, be prepared for a long and frustrating experience. We are now being rushed into the hands of Customer Services, where jobs are done at their own slow pace, often taking up to a year or longer. If the two-year warranty window runs out before issues are fixed, you are left to deal with the problems yourself, at your own cost. After completion, you quickly fall to the bottom of Harron Homes’ priority list and, frankly, become non-existent in their eyes. Harron Homes completes snagging work on their timeline, not yours, and there is little sense that they value you as a customer once you have paid.
Considering the significant investment we made, the continued stress, inconvenience, and financial loss have been incredibly disheartening. We simply want to enjoy our home, but so far, this has been impossible. I hope this review helps others make a fully informed decision before purchasing.
