Booked a chain replacement, oil change, and number plate fitting for an agreed £150. Despite calling ahead to schedule, I was told to just show up, resulting in a three-hour wait. When the work was nearly done, the mechanic attempted to increase the price, complaining that the oil filter was tight and drilling two holes in a plastic plate was more work than he expected. When I politely held him to the agreed quote for basic maintenance, he became aggressive, started shouting on the pavement, and attempted a bizarre guilt trip about how 'foreigners shouldn't do this to each other.' He even threatened to undo the work and put my old plate back on. I paid £170 just to get my motorcycle off his lift and leave. If you want a professional who honors a quote without a theatrical breakdown, go elsewhere.
