Set in 8.5 acres, The Oaks Crematorium is surrounded by beautiful ancient semi-natural woodland and wildflower meadow, providing a picturesque setting for the Crematorium building which has been sensitively designed. As well as creating a space that is relevant for all cultures, ages and beliefs, it provides a tranquil sanctuary for the bereaved, inspired by its natural setting.

Beautiful peaceful location
The location is perfect, being quiet with a beautiful wooded backdrop to the service. The staff were professional and respectful and the facilities are simple and starightforward.
I held both my mother's funeral and then my husband's here and felt they had a good celebration ceremony.

Having lost two sisters in one year has been to say the least difficult. However, everyone at The Oaks and Co-op Funeralcare looked after us right from the get-go. The Oaks is a lovely place and could not have wished better for my sister.

Badly let down by a technical fault.
Like: beautiful view out of the window. I loved seeing the bird feeders, the birds and squirrels, and the lovely, green, undulating lawns and trees. Ten out of ten in this aspect.
Dislike: I was told by the minister conducting my mother's service that the curtains had not been repaired and they had been broken for some time. Both he and I were absolutely appalled. It was dreadful at the end, walking out, just leaving the coffin in full view. The curtains are, ethically, psychologically and aesthetically VITAL. I was actually pretty disgusted by this, and other family members later agreed.

Please be assured this was reported immediately and our contractor carried out the repairs as soon as possible. We fully appreciate this was not the experience you had hoped for and we are sorry for any distress this may have caused you and your family.

A wonderful venue
A wonderful venue to share memories of a very special person with friends and family. Every aspect of the ceremony was enhanced by the attention to detail offered by our funeral directors and the staff of The Oaks Crematorium.

Incredible team of impressive professionals
The staff were so respectful and professional. A Beautiful setting and outlook from…
A Beautiful setting and outlook from inside the building. Clean modern facilities. Plenty of parking including EV charging,which we were able to use after a long journey from Hertfordshire.
We were blessed with a lovely Sunny day.

Beautiful location for a funeral
Beautiful, peaceful, private country setting with many squirrels and birds visible through the enormous windows during the service. Excellent modern facilities plus loads of parking. Good technical support such as music, rolling photo display of our loved one on the wall and a shareable computer link of the funeral service for those unable to attend and to watch again later. Cannot fault. Even provided boxes of tissues.
