Where do I even start. Apparently it’s normal practice to advertise and also confirm in writing that I will be receiving an order I paid for then send me something else because “they cannot guarantee vintage stock”.

Purchased a vintage 2009 bottle of Dom Perignon as pictured on the Hello drinks website for a very meaningful celebration (the year was VERY specific and held special place in ones heart). I followed up at time of order with an email to support confirming that it was definitely a 2009 bottle and the importance behind it. I received a response a few hours later confirming “I will be receiving a 2009 bottle”.

So, to my horror (and 3 days out from gifting) I received a 2010 bottle of Dom Perignon. I tried desperately to contact them to explain the importance and that I needed the 2009 urgently. I received an email being told it was a mistake and that a 2009 bottle would be sent priority. I asked them to confirm the time frame as I was now stressed and tight on time time and then received this is response -

“ Hi Lauren,

Apologies for the late response. We cannot guarantee vintages at this stage as stock changes over so frequently from supplier. We are trying to source milk the 2009 bottle, but can’t guarantee it.

We can have the bottle collected & returned or we can provide $10 credit on your account.

We strive to create top-of-the-line products that our customers love, and we want you to be satisfied with everything you purchase from us.

Please let us know how you would like to proceed and our apologies again that you weren’t completely satisfied.

Sincerely”

I am absolutely appalled and the back tracking not to mention the lame $10 credit to use with them. Is this seriously how business’ are allowed to run these days? I’m now left with an overpriced bottle of 2010 Dom which I could have got from Dan’s 2 mins up the road and $20 cheaper.

Seriously don’t bother with these guys. Wish I had read the reviews before buying.

they short shipped and haven't refunded after promises made by owner...7 weeks and still going on...DO NOT TRUST this company....poor service and u cant get a straight answers

Hi Ted, As already communicated to you on 20/12/20, your funds were held by PayPal as you lodged your dispute with them, as we agreed with you, our supplier left the order short, and we advised PayPal to refund the amount of $173 to your account, which you agreed to. At the time of your last follow up, PayPal had not closed the case, so you need to follow up your dispute with them, as they have frozen the funds which we cannot access, alternatively you can close the PayPal ticket, which will release the funds back to our account, and we can refund the money to you immediately. This was also communicated to you on the 20/12/20. Unfortunately your request to receive payment/extra refunds to not leave a negative review have been denied.

Am now 22days from order…

Am now 22days from order placement/delivery confirmation, and have only received a portion of the order which are for Christmas gifts to employees, who finish up tomorrow. Some responses to emails but I am instigating all of the correspondence. Stuff ups happen, but ultimately the business can only be judged by couriers they use and the timely and proactive customer service when problems arise.

Hi Chris, apologies for the delay with your order, I am working on this with our customer team, whilst we are judged on the couriers we partner with, the volumes they have experienced in the online industry this season has been record breaking, from our side we had very few issues with dispatching orders ahead of time, however some of the issues occurred in the delivery network, which increased the volume of customer tickets our team were handling. Hi Kir, Hope you are well, your order is currently at the Courier depot, and will begin scanning shortly, due to the high volume of orders from this promotion, we have to send the beer in pallets to their truck, where they will sort them and scan them, rather than double scanning at our warehouse, and again at theirs.
