Terrible company and customer service. I’m £200 out of pocket and they don’t answer any emails. I don’t know how they get away with it. My order from a month ago is still missing

Ordered two palms one was ok the other was dying
Contacted company third time they replied
My responsibility for return postage palm can't have been repotted and the 14 day return date had expired
I have contacted trading standards

Plant was not as advertised.. Useless customer service .. total misnomer .. should be customer no service .. Currently taking legal action ..

Ordered 3 items.
One was clearly advertised as in bud or flower, what I received was a blind plant.
I complained by email, as there is no telephone number on the website.
I received a reply several days later, that said as plant was healthy what was I complaining about. Several emails back and forth and they said they would refund the £7.99 in a vouchure, as a gesture of goodwill. Joke as p &p is £6.99. I pointed this out but heard nothing back.
I vowed never to used them again and advise other people not to waste their money.

This can't be legitimate, no contact telephone number, no response to the online contact...We ordered a plant nearly a week ago and still no tracking... I'm puzzled, why Gardening Express?!

Before posting on here I did try emailing and looked for other ways to contact Gardening Express, but I have not heard anything from them which is extremely disappointing and after reading all the negative reviews I now understand why they don’t have a contact phone number.

I brought items from the website and they are nothing like what I ordered. The pots which two of them were split and apart from soil everywhere, the plants were leaning over and clearly damaged. The next two “plants”, if you can call them were sellotaped together and completely broken and can’t be salvaged at all.

I look forward to hearing from them, but by the amount of bad reviews on here, I won’t hold my breath, and the only alternative I’ll be left with is doing a chargeback with my bank.

If you are thinking of buying from this company, please don’t waste your time or your money.

I used this company some years ago and was disappointed but thought I would give them a chance again. Big mistake!! The plants that arrived were in very poor condition and have not survived. I contacted them, attaching photographs and was asked for details (including photographs!). I sent the details (and more photographs) but since then, despite follow-up emails, I've heard nothing. From other reviews it appears that Gardening Express's usual practice is to ignore customer complaints and this is certainly my experience with them. I won't bother ordering from them again - no matter how much of a 'bargain' their offer looks!

Waited 3 weeks for my £343.00 delivery of plants & compost with no updates at all. Majority of plants dead on arrival, &/or snapped leaves, damaged plants, broken pots. I believe these plants were cooked up in transit for a long time. Took photos & emailed. Got an automated response 1 week later telling me to water them!!! I’d do it the proper way, visit a garden centre or nursery & pick your own. Compost was fantastic but I’d never recommend for plants. Total waste of my time & very hard earned cash.

Absolutely terrible company. Plants arrive in poor condition and when an enquiry is made as to whether the growth coming from within the roots of a magnolia will produce the actual species ordered the company continually ignore any communication. Really dreadful DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Never received all my order so overpaid and never got a refund. Plants that did arrive were half dead and poor quality. Customer service just ignored my emails. No longer use the company.

£40 of plants ordered . Took my money with no contact at all . Can’t contact them . It’s like throwing money down a grid . Only generic rubbish e mails back . Il be contacting trading standards .

Any company that has no phone for customer services should ring alarm bells, but don't worry you can send multiple messages and emails and they will ignore those too.
I received my order in 2 separate parcels..6 days between. The first set of plants looked just about ok but since most have died. The second parcel were mostly dead or rotten or damaged. When I say dead I mean dead..grey and crispy.
Of course no one replied to my first ( of many) messages until today. A generic email saying if im not happy then i can return the plants ( at my own cost!) ...you can't make this up!!! Obviously avoid like a pile of doggie ****.

Avoid using this company.
Ordered 2 Bamboo plants, took over a week to arrive and are nothing like the ones pictured on the website, very little green on them, mostly dried up and dead. Complete waste of money. Emailed them to complain but no response from them, going to have to try to claim money back from my credit card company.

Customer service does not reply although I have contacted them three times, unable to track progress of order as it shows the same status since ordering

We received our bare root magnolias in a prompt manner, BUT ! it was very apparent once removing the plastic packaging wrapped around the root ball it was apparent there were little or no roots. The roots had been so drastically pruned I will be amazed if any of them survive.
I have e mailed gardening express and explained it should not be my responsibility to repackage the shrubs as I had to cut open the packaging as the shrubs were rammed in and the packaging discarded.
I have sent photos to G.D. why on earth do they want them back, surely repackaging and postage at my expense is unacceptable.
Most of all why are substandard products being sent out to customers and not being checked by quality control.
Unfortunately I have no faith in G.D. and will never be ordering from them.
I replied to their request to repackage the shrubs but surprisingly haven’t heard back from them.

It says orders are despatched in 3 to 5 working days. Its been 6 working days and ive still no idea if its been despatched. Visit your account it says, i have, several times. Still no idea. There is an online chat that says ' back soon ' its said that since 25th August. Ive completed the online form, and still nothing. I go away in a few days and dont want them delivered then, but theres no one to help you.

Took two weeks to arrive only to receive what appears to be a dead twig not the fruit bush described

Non existent customer service. Paid over £45 order number # 700673938 for a 3 trees, which 2 were dying on arrival.

No replies from C S after numerous emails. They cannot be reached by telephone quite deliberately.

The biggest lie is 5 years guarantee.

They never refund me.

They are a rubbish dodgy company and obviously capable of fraud.

Never received my goods despite paying for them and waiting weeks for any information.

Most emails are ignored or replies take a very long time to get.

Never again. I should have checked the reviews here first. Do not buy from them.
