Whilst the objectives of this organisation are probably noble, the outcomes are poor for consumers. It is often difficult to check on whether a contractor is Hetas registered because they often operate under trading names which are different from registered names. And when you do find the contractor, they don't display the registration number on the listing so you can't check.
My recommmendations to Hetas is that they should not just list the names of businesses alone. They should list individuals by name and their registration number, and they should compel trade members to show their registration online and on their correspondence / invoices.

Who would know changing from a sole trader to a Ltd company could create such a headache but thank you to Julia and Laurie they were lovely to deal with and made sure the process was as smooth as possible

Abbie was amazing in my recent experience with Hetas.

It was surrounding a complex adjustment to an existing registration and I’d spoken to a couple of other people over a period of 2 weeks and wasn’t really getting anywhere. From the moment Abbie answered the phone she was amazing.! she tracked down exactly what form we needed and went out of her way to make sure we were sorted. Calling through to other departments and briefing different teams on what what’s happening ect calling me back and keeping me in the loop as to what we may / may not need to do. Just extremely helpful from start to finish and sorted things within a few hours for me. I called this morning having not made much progress and at the time of writing this review it’s basically done thanks to Abbie..!

Contacted hetas today to see if they received my certificate of compliance.They got back to me straight away could not fault can take 4 weeks and sent by royal mail
