Hillsong Rotterdam experiences

I went to Hillsong Rotterdam for a few years now. Recently, it has been infested by people who do not practice what they preach. I was accused of wrongdoing without being given the benefit of the doubt. They did not even bother to listen to my story. Instead, they threw me a bunch of lectures. As an autistic person, I was very hurt that the leaders said that I should be more empathetic towards people without me receiving any empathy from others or themselves. Instead of being loving, compassionate, and understanding like what the bible preaches, they are the least loving, the least understanding, and the least compassionate people I have ever met in the country. Whenever you drop by Rotterdam, do not spare a thought of visiting Hillsong Church.

Hillsong presents itself as a church

Hillsong presents itself as a church, but my experience showed something very different.
A volunteer bullied and intimidated my 14-year-old daughter. This volunteer admitted her behaviour in writing to a leader, but when safeguarding became involved she suddenly claimed she could not remember. Despite this, the leadership chose to protect her because she has been in Hillsong for many years. No meaningful action was taken.
The youth leader spoke privately with my underage child instead of contacting me, her parent. This is deeply inappropriate and unsafe. Rather than protecting a vulnerable child, the leadership tried to control the situation and silence concerns.
I also witnessed emotional manipulation and false testimonies used on stage to influence and impress the audience, which raised serious concerns about honesty and integrity within this organisation.

When I questioned these issues, I was treated as the problem instead of my child being protected.
Based on my experience, Hillsong is not a safe or transparent environment for children and families. Parents should be extremely cautious before trusting this organisation with their children.

Hillsong Church

Hillsong Church, widely known as Hellsong through investigative documentaries, is not a true church but functions as a dangerous cult. It is an organization where members and pastors protect one another despite serious allegations of abuse and misconduct. The church has systematically shielded pastors and leaders involved in illicit and harmful behavior. Volunteers within the church have also been implicated in abusive actions, yet the administration actively covers these up. For instance, a woman approximately 46 years old admitted to mistreating a minor but is still protected by the church. Additionally, some youth leaders have been dishonest and exposed children to protect their own interests.

A documented case involved a pastor who raped a young woman. Instead of holding him accountable, Hillsong persecuted the victim. This pattern of silencing victims and protecting perpetrators is ongoing. Boz Tchividjan, grandson of Billy Graham and a lawyer, represented two girls raped at Hillsong in Australia. Both experienced retaliation similar to that faced by my daughter. Speaking out against abuse at Hillsong leads to victims being accused and persecuted by the church administration rather than receiving support.

Thankfully, my daughter was not raped, but she did suffer persecution and harassment due to opposing the church. Hillsong lacks genuine spiritual and biblical grounding, functioning more like an entertainment venue than a church. Many leaders lack sufficient biblical education or proper training to work with minors. This leaves children in spiritually weak environments, often exposed to manipulative tactics such as false testimonies designed to impress and manipulate congregants emotionally.
For example, false claims about Brazilian law regarding minors’ travel documentation have been used to fabricate “miraculous” intervention by authorities under the Holy Spirit. A documentary titled Hellsong Hillsong Church Global Investigation is available on YouTube and is essential viewing for anyone—especially women, children, and families—considering involvement with Hillsong. The church’s culture punishes anyone who dares to challenge or expose its abuses. Hillsong’s environment is toxic, deceptive, and dangerous. It demands blind obedience and uses people as puppets to hide questionable and harmful behavior. Those seeking genuine spiritual growth and safety should be extremely caution.. 🤢

ABUSIVE, 80% BORING, AND NOT CARING ABOUT CHILDREN'S SAFETY

ABUSIVE, 80% BORING, AND NOT CARING ABOUT CHILDREN'S SAFETY:

THEY ARE FILTHY CROOKS. And the sermons delivered by their pastors (not their guests I have seen so far this year) at the Central London branch are SO boring!!! I have not heard such boring messages since I became a born again Christian and I think we have not since the world began. What is going on? They are SO pathetic!!! God sees. God agrees. Of course. 🙌

On Sunday 23/11/2025 at Hillsong Church Central London at Dominion Theatre there was a serious incident. *A female church volunteer deliberately* endangered my precious sons Jeremiah and Ethan who are 10 and 8 years old by providing us with wrong information at the start of the service. As I raised concerns about this potentially dangerous misinformation, do you know what their response was? Three security staff and a Hillsong church female staff member attempted to terrorize and threaten me, and they vigorously defended the hypocrite female volunteer who deliberately gave me the wrong information endangering two young children, how evil! The female church staff member's behavior stemmed from jealousy (it was 100% jealousy getting her to attempt to terrorize and threaten me like that, the confidence she tried to exhibit after the church service was extremely fake, she wanted to give the impression that I am the one in the wrong and she has finally done the right thing mistreating me the way she did at the start of the church service, lie, her jealousy is monstrous) and honestly I don't care because I have other important *GOOD* things to do in this world. I passed kindergarten and I am very focused.

After the church service, three of the security staff at Dominion Theatre continued their harassment. I was forcibly escorted out with Jeremiah and Ethan by two of the security staff (without having caused a scene during the church service, no) while my precious son Ty who is 16 had gone to the restroom. The two security staff refused to let me re-enter the hall to get my precious son Ty after forcibly escorting Jeremiah, Ethan and I out. Only one man who attended the church service intervened, asking the abusive two security staff to allow me back inside to get my third child, but they still denied me that. I very much thanked that man who intervened. I then spotted my son Ty, who, noticing my absence in the hall, was calling my phone to find out where I was; I had to shout his name for him to come to me. They wouldn't let me go back inside to get my own child? It highlights how fitting the term "FILTHY CROOKS" is for them. A third security staff mocked us, laughing at me, Jeremiah and Ethan.

I contacted news outlets like SKY News to expose the way I was mistreated.

Yesterday 30/11/2025, as we went to church my precious children and I for God, I was told by one of the abusive security staff from the previous Sunday that Hillsong Church Central London has refused that I continue to attend their church. Someone called Steve, a church representative I believe, spoke to me and confirmed this. They mentioned an email was sent to me about it. I told them I had not received that email which is true. THEIR JEALOUSY IS DISGUSTING AND MONSTROUS! And ugly.

What they don't know is that the night before God, who is always on my side, revealed a secret to me and instructed me not to disclose it until after I attended church yesterday and witnessed their actions. God clearly stated: "NOT THIS TIME", in a very strong and powerful manner. I wonder what God meant. God spoke that against those at Hillsong who support my mistreatment, showing me, assuring me, that he is on my side. He is definitely infinity percent not with them when it comes to the way they treated me the previous Sunday and yesterday. THANK YOU SO MUCH, LORD! YES!!!

Please FIRE and BAN the three abusive security staff, the abusive jealous female church staff and that female volunteer who deliberately gave me wrong information. Shut down their evil. For good. Now.

THANK YOU.

Patricia Wagner

Blessed and revived...

Yet again, life-changing truth about faith and our relationship with Yahweh, as He has revealed Himself in the Bible, was preached by Pastor Jerry. I left with a message that I have already shared with a whole host of believers. Hillsong is a large church, but Pastor Jerry recognised my daughter, who can only attend sporadically, as she has moved out of London, and invited her to continue a conversation that they had begun several months ago. Thanks to this amazing sermon, I have been able to confidently 'lift my faith.' I also trust and believe that God can forgive and use my mistakes, just as He did with Abraham. One day soon, let's hope that these messages will be broadcast online where any and everyone can be blessed.

Disappointed

Hello everyone... I went this church nearly 3 years for the London theatre. I'm sorry to say I didn't collect any good experience from the church. People friendly but...a strong spirituality which can't believe came out from the church and realised it's evil. In my family many things happen which I don't expect as for my life. A lot of help for my enemies and alot of fighting with my own people.
Like a 'ocean wave ', my enemies ( bobby done a curse with ocean waves) went higher than me. Their spirit connectd with my friends and families. I lost my money, my husband and my home my pet. My husband went out with another woman and at last they caught me to the police, and bind my mouth and No one open the mouth for me. Some people sexually abuse my self . My family problems come out . Today I feel low about my self. Never put your step to there. You will be disappointed like me. They made me worse. Don't know how to stop this waves and up to now suffer. Oh god help us.

Hillsong is the single best church you…

Hillsong is the single best church you can go to. The way that I found god shine through me and make me the person I am today. The production and lights are out of this world and Hillsong only knows how to bring life and the Holy Spirit for anyone who enters the church. Believe me when I say Hillsong has converted many of my friends to come to church and even get baptised.

Hillsong church London UK

Hillsong church London UK. Loved this church for the first couple of years. The music the lights the action. Everyone seemed welcoming and friendly like family.

Then as the years passed I sadly discovered how fake some of the teams, congregation, doctrine and it's leaders were.

I began to see it's materialistic, narcissistic , nepotistic, elitist, ageist self gaining, celebrity worshipping culture. It always seemed to promote the younger people. Which is great but the oldies ain't all dead yet. I never saw anyone over the age of 30 front the worship team. Their productions seem to promote the same old favourite faces. Alot of those in these teams come across as arrogant elitist and rude. What do you expect when their very own leaders act the same way.

For me this church seems to have succumb to the world to gain it's popularity and fanbase. I felt people went there more for the hangouts, the glitz, the Glastonbury vibes, to network, for self gain and to find a potential partner or partners. They also want money alot of it. They're always selling merchandise (even on a Sunday) always serm to need money for various charities Heart for the House etc. The biggie is of course TITHING. There's always a tithing pep talks before the the buckets come round. Just to make sure you empty your pockets.. Alot of visiting pastors serm to be always plugging their latest book or album after their talk. These visitors also get given donations from a thank you bucket that goes round, which amounts to a hell of alot, when you consider you have 1000 s in the congregation.

It can leave a bitter taste in your mouth when you witness pastor's living seemingly lavish lifestyles.ie living in prestigious London accomadation, owning nice cars, with the odd Harley in tow and adorned in high branded clothing. Not forgetting the paradical holidays. I say forget about being a doctor become a Hillsong Pastor. It seems the trendy and popular thrive there, while the introverts get lost in the crowd. Watch BBC Storyville called Jesus goes viral and the Hillsong documentary on Sky. After my years of experience in this church these programs got it 100% right. No bias.

For me this is not a church of God.

In a nutshell the founder Brian mega rich Houston had to leave due to maybe withholding information about his pedophile father. Who has been accused of child rape.

Brian Houston also has been accused of immoral conduct with two women and shortly after left the church.

Read up on Carl Lentz

Celebrity narcissistic prosperity culture.

All about the money honey.

Welcoming, loving Church (UK Newcastle)

Bit surprised to see Hillsong hasn't claimed this listing on Trust Pilot, but since it does exist, may as well comment. I can only speak from experience of attending a smaller, local, North East (UK Newcastle) campus.

We were once Newcastle Christian Life Center, who then joined the 'Hillsong Family' and eventually joined Hillsong formally, after many years.

Is the Church perfect? No. Do we get everything right? No. Do we try our best to be welcoming to any and all who come in? Yes.

We're all just humans (mostly volunteers), with contrasting personalities, trying to live Christian lives, serving guests and one another. We all serve different roles, whether that be media, production, welcome team, music and more.

Hopefully we create a welcoming environment, for returning community or new. Do we have a predominantly Youngish congregation, yes, and some of us do wear ripped jeans and hoodies. But our community is both young and old and diverse. You really can come as you are, and no one will judge you. I just hope you like loud music!

I wouldn't still be part of that community, after over a decade, if I didn't both love and trust the Church, the team I server a long side and the leadership holding it up.

But again, I'm only speaking from a local Church perspective, not for the larger UK or Global perspective.
