Third time using Grace at HMD Legal and could not recommend her enough.

She takes the stress completely out of the buying/selling process. The whole team are super efficient at getting back to any enquiries and the portal makes it easy to fill out forms/know exactly what point you’re at.

​Buying a house is usually a stress test but HMD Legal turned it into a breeze. Their tracking system is second to none—I always knew exactly what was happening before I even had time to worry about it. Super responsive, incredibly professional and highly recommended.

I have no hesitation in recommending the conveyancing offered by HWD. Hannah and her team have put systems, safety nets and guardrails in place to ensure a smooth, stress free, easy and speedy house buying process (yes, all the words you don't often hear about conveyancing!!).

This team don't leave emails or calls unanswered, and if (as I had) obstacles or unanticipated challenges arise, they deal with them immediately, efficiently and without fuss. At no point did I feel I was on a conveyor belt or just another case; when I needed to speak to Hannah she made herself available, often answering emails in the evening or weekend.

Want to be hands off with your purchase, you can keep track on Hoowla; need more hand holding (as I did), they're just a call or email away; my sense of urgency was always matched by theirs. I had a sense of this firm being a very well-oiled machine, yet flexible and dynamic enough to pivot when needed. There was transparency at each stage with correspondence to the seller's solicitor shared so I could see exactly where any hold ups were and chase the estate agent accordingly. A no-nonsense transparent and personalised experience which was second to none!

Very happy with the professional services from HMD. We were in a position to settle and complete very quickly within six weeks, including the Christmas and New Year’s break. Hannah and her team were prompt and efficient at all times. Unfortunately, the sellers withdrew the house from sale at the last minute as their new business venture in the US had some unforeseen issues and didn’t move. Nevertheless, I recommend HMD completely.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our house sale very nearly collapsed twice due to staggering incompetence from this firm. First, they failed to contact the Land Registry at a critical stage—something so basic it’s hard to believe it was missed. Then, just as things were back on track, they managed to provide incorrect information to the lending building society, putting the entire transaction at risk again.

This wasn’t just stressful—it cost us money. Extra fees, delays, and endless chasing on our side to fix their mistakes.

A complete lack of attention to detail and accountability from start to finish. I would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere unless you want your sale jeopardised and your patience (and wallet) drained.
