Holloway Removals & Storage Avis 

They quoted and then wanted to double the price before they would deliver to the destination. They were unclear about the basis for calculating their price and did not provide accurate metrics for additional price. Their contract terms are fluffy. I have used these guys before. Never again.

Worst experience. Do not use Holloway.

Great service. The boys were very helpful and nothing was a drama. Timely execution of the job and very friendly.

The Holloway team was very informative and professional from the onset and the boys that came to load up the container were hard working and very pleasant to deal with.
Whilst my container hasn’t reached it’s destination point yet, I expect I’ll receive the same level of satisfaction.

The moving team who attended were excellent — friendly, professional, and efficient. They handled my belongings with care and made sure items were wrapped and protected. Unfortunately, the experience with the office staff and the company’s pricing structure was disappointing.

Throughout the process, additional charges kept appearing, over $800 in total, including extra insurance (as their standard cover didn’t apply to all parts of their service), item surcharges, and an overflow fee. I had made it clear that I did not want anything loaded that exceeded the allotted storage space, yet these costs were still added.

When I raised my concerns, the customer service representative repeatedly assured me they “weren’t trying to be deceptive,” which only reinforced my unease and suggested this may be a recurring issue.

It’s unfortunate, as the movers themselves were fantastic, but the lack of transparency and clarity from the office staff left me feeling misled and dissatisfied overall.

The two gentlemen that moved us were incredibly efficient and conscientious. Couldn't have expected better.

All the people who came to move our stuff were punctual, efficient, and friendly. They took great care of all the items that they handled. The furniture was reassembled and tested before handing over. No breakages in transit.

The two removalist came were very professional , respected, responsible nice young guys. No winging . Got the job done. Kay was very helpful to organise the work all the way. Well done guys.

We had a VERY full 2 bedroom apartment, with a ton of kitchen stuff, sheet music, child’s toys etc. Two incredibly efficient packers waded through it in the space of a morning, packing with care and labelling everything clearly. On moving day Renato and his team went above and beyond, taking great care to move the whole lot - including piano, artwork, awkward furniture, and more boxes than anyone should ever have. 12 hours and two trips later we were happily surrounded by boxes in our new location. A much longer day than anyone probably anticipated - Renato and the two other guys somehow kept smiling. Stellar work from all. Thank you.

I paid the bill plus a deposit which they told me I would have returned. Then I get a nasty letter with a new invoice stating that I owe them more money. I think that they are a rip off and they owe me money.

The crew who came to remove the furniture were great.

Generally a pretty poor experience, but delivery crew on the day were great.

I had booked my belongings to be sent to my new house after being in storage with Holloway for 12 months.

A couple days before the pickup was due to begin, i received a call and communications referencing the incorrect address AND STATE of pick up, i then had to spend hours on the phone straightening it all out, a complete waste of my time and something that should've been solved in house.

Furthermore, after a drop off date was confirmed, i was then emailed out of the blue 3 days before this drop off date to "inform" me that my delivery was actually going to take another week... so i was going to be in an empty with not even a bed for a week. I was able to call and get it sorted, but feel i shouldn't have had to do that if it could've been fixed internally.

I wouldn't use this company again.

We booked Holloway Removals for a packing and move service a few weeks ago. One of two trucks didn’t arrive on time; consultant didn’t answer calls; unpackers waited around due to delays. Packing was poor (clothes shoved into boxes despite promise of rails). Property was damaged (side table/ornament/wall) and our coffee table leg was broken; it later collapsed after their “repair,” destroying the marble top. They promised $600 in refunds and to cover repairs but haven’t paid after weeks of emails. Extremely disappointing and stressful experience.
