Communication is non-existent, (and probably AI.) Have had 2 out of 10 fail within several months, so much for any profit. They need to do more diligence before offering a business for a loan. It's a great idea, just not now from Honeycomb.

Honeycomb is terrible at responding. A company I invested in defaulted. I cast a vote that we still get repaid. The vote was sent out to all investors of the company. No word on how the votes turned out. Have not had a payment in a year. The last communication with Honeycomb was 6 months ago.

DO NOT BECOME AN INVESTOR TO ANY BUSINESS THROUGH HONEYCOMB.

You would be better off just spending your money directly with the small business.

Honeycomb does not make repayments to investors on a timely basis. I understand the businesses invested in may have cash flow issues on why they may miss repayment schedules but know of this information is ever relayed to the investors by Honeycomb.

Even after missed payments and constant emails to Honeycomb there is no serious reponse as to what is going on with our investments.

Investing on Honeycomb Credit feels meaningful in a way most platforms do not. Instead of abstract portfolios, you are directly supporting real small businesses in your community and beyond. The platform makes it easy to understand where your money is going, who is behind the business, and how your investment helps them grow.

Having an issue with Honeycomb currently. I invested in a loan that didn't end up getting funded. This has happened on a handful of loans and every other time I have received a refund but there was suppose to be a refund in February that never hit my bank. I tried contacting support and they only give me their internal reference number on the refund but I need the bank's ACH tracer number to hopefully find my money. So as of right now, I don't know if Honeycomb is just keeping my money or if it got lost in transit but will update my review when I get an outcome

Honeycomb Credit is not supportive of the investor. The contract I made with Honetcomb was for a three year investment. They in turn sent a repayment schedule for five years. When I asked about this via email, I was told I was correct and that they would consult with their accountants and get back to me. That was several months ago and they have failed to get back to me. Also I was to receive a payment on October 8,2025. At this writing, October 27, 2025, it is still in process.

I downloaded the Honeycomb app and followed all the setup instructions, but the app won’t let me invest in any businesses due to an identity verification failure. I emailed their support team on October 11, 2025, but I still haven’t received a response about resolving the issue. If this is how Honeycomb is going to treat me then the app is useless and people shouldn’t download it.

This platform is great for businesses that wish to obtain donations. However, from an investor's standpoint, it’s not worth it. It could take years before you see any return on your investment—if at all. The quarterly payments are not enforced; I haven’t received any money in over a year from my investment.

All Investments are risky, but in my opinion, I’d rather invest in the stock market. I will not do this again.

Also, if you read the 5-star reviews, they are mostly from the business owners' perspective. This review is from an investor's perspective.

NOT for the investor! This is where friends, family, and customers DONATE their money to a business!

This platform is more of a charity and donation system for small businesses.
The contracts are INTENTIONALLY written to favor the businesses under ALL circumstances and not the investors.

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should investors allow themselves to believe Honeycomb Credit will protect their interests in ANY way whatsoever. The moment investors pressure Honeycomb Credit to pursue defaulted loans, they will pass the troubled loan on to a third party to do the work, effectively washing their hands of the problem and making you wait even longer for legal action to get started. Honeycomb Credit will never go after a business themselves. Pitiful.

Defaulted loans are allowed to go completely unanswered and unattended for well over a YEAR in many cases before legal proceedings are even begun. This is not an exaggeration. Some defaulted loans are permitted to go unpaid and the debtors are allowed to go uncontested for over a year before any legal proceedings to recover loans are initiated. Let that sink in.

In doing your due diligence, notice how almost every single positive review is from a borrowing BUSINESS and NOT from an investor. There’s a reason for that. Honeycomb Credit favors borrowers because they make their money from their fees whether or not their campaigns are successful. Additionally, most businesses have friends, family and customers who become a large part of the investor base and these types of investors (Donors, more like it) are not likely to complain about losing money, late payments or Honeycomb’s questionable practices. They have personal connections to the business with an obvious conflict of interest to the true investors that are in it for the money, not the charity.

This is not a platform for investors or people wanting to make money, regardless of their investing background. This is charity. There are SEVERAL issues currently taking place within the company challenging its practices and many of its early investors have left for these reasons.

There is zero reason for allowing defaulted loans to appear as being paid in the history pages and for those loans to go unchallenged for several months. Much less for not keeping investors updated. If Honeycomb can bombard us with investment opportunity emails, they can also send status updates instead of ignoring 3 emails on updates requests several months apart. This platform is an utter DISGRACE!

Be sorry for failing to provide the adequate support and commitment to the investors you desperately needed in your early years when nobody had faith in your platform.
Be sorry for having an atrocious recovery record.
Be sorry for failing to keep the Dashboards properly updated.
Be sorry for continuing to restrict investor options to go after businesses themselves with the stifling and restrictive contracts you continue to write and have been adviced to edit by attorneys working for investors. That’s where apologies are needed.

Honeycomb does not pay on time, even when the funded business makes timely repayments. When contacted, Honeycomb provides no explanation other than that payment "should process soon." According to Honeycomb's own website, my first payment was scheduled for 03/20 and should have been available in my wallet by 03/27. It is currently 5 days after 03/27, and there is still no sign of this payment.

Cannot recommend Honeycomb enough. The entire team from Merideth to John to Theo (I'm forgetting a couple of names) were top notch. Almost 6 months after our campaign began I'm still blown away by not only friends and neighbors who came through on backing our loan but on the investor community, several of which we've had the opportunity to connect with personally.

I was skeptical at first because it sounded too good to be true but the process was transparent, the team was over the top helpful and we got funded for $40k. Unbelievable job.

Running a small business can simultaneously be the most rewarding and the most defeating pursuit. When it came time to consider growing my catering company I couldn't even imagine the first steps. Coincidentally I was connected with the fine folks at Honeycomb Credit, and although I was apprehensive at first it wound up being an absolutely wonderful process. I felt supported from day one through the launch of my campaign through the repayment process. I felt like everyone at Honeycomb had my best interest, and my business' best interest, in mind. I would definitely run a second campaign with Honeycomb if and when it comes time to find a second round of investors. I highly suggest checking the platform out, they're doing great work.

Buyer beware. Honeycomb is consistently late with repayments, if they are deposited at all. They offer absolutely no explanation or support.

We looked to raise up to $450k and closed just above $200k. Honeycomb gave us all the tools to be successful, and they're adding other perks right now including vendor deals for businesses to score discounts on products and services.

Honeycomb was good about negotiating the terms of the loan and I liked that there were other options including Equity funding.

We plan on considering them for any funding gap-closers we may face in the near future.
