Mrs Cathy is a very kind and experienced coach, her patience and encourage make my sons enjoy the time in class.

My son (currently a 6.5 yr old) has taken the Hoppity Learning training lessons for 2 years. We had the pleasure of working with 3 different coaches closely. They have all been wonderful, caring and very encouraging.

We worked through different topics (e.g. empathy, integrity, anger management etc.), and I see tangible changes in my son. For example, after working on the topic of integrity, he has been quite aware of the necessity and importance of keeping his promise. Now he will try his best to keep his daily practice schedule (because he promised to do so) of reading, playing piano, and writing. All of these he used to only do when he felt like.

We are very thankful for Hoppity and for all the great coaches that have helped my son grow.

[14/3 13:49] Gloria: My 8-year-old daughter often fights with her younger brother and has a bad temper. I tried many methods to no avail. A friend introduced Hoppity Learning tutoring service. After attending two classes, my daughter quickly stopped fighting with her brother, and her temper was obviously docile. From the first day of class, she has been very self-disciplined for more than two months. I would like to thank my instructor Kristy Wong for this.

Our journey with Hoppity Learning over the past 3 months has been nothing short of amazing! The strides my daughter has made in Social-Emotional Learning are truly remarkable, and we owe it all to the outstanding coaches at Hoppity Learning. My daughter, who was a bit shy at first, quickly opened up and started looking forward to their sessions. It's amazing to see the positive impact the coach have had on our child. My daughter is more confident and willing to take on new challenges and making new friends. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team, we are overjoyed with the outcome of our time with Hoppity Learning!!!

My daughter is 9, has taken Hoppity for a while now. She loves the coach and the class! Highly recommend children to take it since school doesn’t really educate much about how to identify different emotions and manage them. My daughter has improved so much since she first took Hoppity. Recently we just had a parent-teacher conference at her school, the teacher speaks highly on my daughter’s social behaviors, she is able to speak up when she’s not being treated right, and there are many other examples. From teacher’s words, I believe Hoppity has been very helpful for my daughter. We all have so much stress in life, if we get to teach kids on how to cope with their emotions, I truly believe it’s the way to make them survive and success under the stressful environment and life.

Now we are in the stage of building self- confidence. Forrest realizes his advantages with the help of Candy in the class. He was relatively passive about his homework, and in the next few days, I encouraged him to follow the advantages he realized in class - to be good at solving problems, to face his homework, and to experiment how to finish the homework quickly. These days, Forrest does his homework obviously faster, and he can even finish his homework at school. We celebrate in time. That also gives him encouragement.

Life is about growing with our people in our lives.

Hoppity has allowed our family to explore Social and Emotional learning past the cultural lens of what you ought to be versus what you can be.

My daughter has learned valuable lessons to improve her posture of feelings, emotions, & discovering tools to self advocate her growth to being herself while loving & caring for others.

Try a session or two with amazing staff to learn about yourself and your kids to improve communication and ways to know each other to thrive!

Thank you to all the coaches at Hoppity Learning for your passion in helping kids and families to make transformations in their social emotional experience. My son has been doing coaching sessions with Hoppity Learning since two years ago. His most recent topics include Managing Disappointment and Friendship. He has been able to use the things that he learnt from Hoppity to manage his appointments in his daily life, such as being able to identify the level of his disappointments and choosing his own methods to cope with them. He has also been through a lot at school dealing with people teasing at him which made his school life not as enjoyable. I am so glad that the coaches are such good active listeners to hear my son's sharing. That has already made an impact on his ability to share with emotions more readily and comfortably. He is willing to let go of his bad experience at school and has moved on to focus on the positive things such as making new friends and knowing what to do if conflicts arise.

Before taking the sessions about a year ago, my daughter was very unclear about her schedule and did not express her feelings and thoughts often.

After taking the sessions to learn the skills on Empathy, Assertiveness, Time Management, Set Goals and Plans, and all other skills, my daughter showed empathy to me during our last ski trip and took the initiative to unload items. In her school, other parents would tell me that my daughter raised her hands often to answer questions. She is confident and assertive.

Now, she also knows her schedule and follows her time table well. Despite having daily schedules, she remembers the days for different activities and would double check if she has those activities or not during Spring Break.

I would recommend for parents to join the parent-child coaching. It takes time and practice to see the change, but certainly the change will happen!

One thing we had been struggling with our son was how long it took him to finish his dinner, sometimes up to an hour…

My son and I had recently finished the “Time Management” topic with Ms Heidi from Hoppity Learning. Through examples and discussions, we set a schedule and expectations of how long each task should take. For meal times, he tried his best and was able to follow his schedule to finish dinner fast (During the session, he let us know that he needed 45 mins, but he ended up finishing eating within 30 mins two weeks in a row!).

We are extremely proud of our son who shares his thoughts with us, expresses his needs, and becomes self-motivated to follow his schedule.

Indeed my coach Candy is gifted and has been a gift to me. As I enter the empty nest stage, there are some undefined paths and yet to be fulfilled dreams. The “Life Purpose Exercise” is fun and revealing. Candy guided me through the complexity of aspects and details covered in the wellbeing assessments to identify main areas to work on for better self care. With the SMART goals, I got to overcome the reluctance to start some new habits by taking small steps. After experiencing simplicity and calmness during the mindfulness exercises, now I have some quiet time almost everyday. Thank you Candy for your passion and your profession of whole person growth.

I completed a series of sessions focusing health and personal wellness. I found it very useful as it was a checkpoint to meet small goals throughout the week that eventually lead to meeting bigger goals and habit change. Candy understands the struggle of parenthood and she understands struggle of working mothers - I definitely feel supported rather than being shamed when there was setback in the progress.
Given her expertise in early childhood education, my wellness sessions with her went beyond my physical health, I also got emotional support as a mother with special need child. I truly appreciated this experience as it's a much needed opportunity to recharge and refocus.

Thanks for being my awesome health & wellness coach. Being guided professionally in achieving my goals in small steps, with accountability and feedback, totally reorganize my overall wellbeing. There were relaxing mindfulness exercises at the beginning of each session to help re-focus my thoughts too.

After taking three sessions on empathy, my son had a deeper understanding of my frustrated feeling and teacher's frustration when he did not listen to us. We did not ask him to change at all. He initiated to show his caring action by listening to us. Of course, he can always ask us for the reason or have a calm conversation with us to find a solution. My son also saw that his relationship with me had significantly improved, which went from not being happy with us a few days a week to being happy with us EVERY DAY at the end of the month. I had life coaching support from Hoppity Learning and they did such an amazing job. As an adult that have learned and tried many ways to plan and execute day to day goals, I haven't found ways that would be most effective. But with as little as 5 sessions (half an hour each), they have supported me in a way that I can now understand what's most important to me, how to make achievable goals, and above all, execute them with joy. I am most impressed by the encouraging approach and felt like I have a more positive outlook to my own growth. Thank you so much Hoppity!

I have an amazing 6-year-old kid and I am very happy to share our family’s experience with Hoppity Learning.

Both my wife and I have always been well aware of the importance of social emotional learning for our child's development. It is essential for a fulfilling and happy life.

Before joining Hoppity Learning, my son would unleash his anger a few times a day. He would get mad when we forgot to give him napkin during breakfast, or he lost a family game, or from some other daily routine things.

After joining Hoppity's sessions, my son, my wife, and I practice the anger management skills, show empathy, and encourage my son to have growth mindset at least 3 times a week. Now we openly talk about all kinds of feelings and emotions in our house.

I can see a huge improvement in my son and in ourselves as well. My son would initiate to keep his anger level at level 4 out of 10, which means he will control himself to be a bit frustrated only.

He also demonstrates empathy to my wife and I daily. When I came home tired after a long day of work, my son would encourage me that soon I would be able come home early and spend more time with the family. As a parent, I love that :)

I highly recommend all families, especially dads, to join Hoppity's Sessions and engage more on the social emotional learning in addition to other education.

Dads, you are amazing and extremely important to your family, and you will make a huge difference by learning and practicing Hoppity's skills with your child and spouse.

Since my son turned 6 and after a year into the pandemic, I experienced more power struggle and saw that the communication between my son and I were very inefficient.
I also noticed my lack of patience and wasn't able to apply what I have learned from parenting conference and parenting book on my own.

I joined a free hoppity seminar and found out about their emotional coaching.

I always believed emotional resilient is one of the most important skill for kids to learn as I wish I had attain these skills when I was much younger and I would have known how to cope with stress and different situations better.

Wanting to make changes, I decided do start emotional coaching with my son. It's been over 8 months since we started.

Since than, our communication has improved gradually.
We were able to acknowledge and understand each other's emotional struggles.

I am able to apply what I have learned in the program and apply thesw skills with the support from the coach.

My son also became very open in sharing his feelings and emotions.

It's one of the most rewarding program we have joined and I am grateful for the support and the position influence it had on our relationship.

Hoppitylearning provided a great learning experience for both parents and children. I had a good relationship building experience with my children.

I strongly recommend this for families who inherited foreign traditional parenting methods, got lost in the culture shock in the States, and are looking for ways to understand, communicate, and fill the gaps.

I am a parent whose children already receive SEL classes at school. I also attend conferences, webinars and watch videos on parenting, child development, etc. As a result, when I first heard of Hoppity through a webinar, I was a bit skeptical at first that they may be able to teach me anything new. After seeing a trial offer, I decided that it wouldn't hurt to try it out, and I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled with the results.

I realized that it is one thing to read an article/book or listen to a presentation/lecture about SEL, and it's a completely different experience to actually practice it with customized and personal guidance. It was also incredibly effective to have my son learn from another loving and caring adult, other than his parents, on ways to identify and share his feelings. In addition, Hoppity coaches were paramount to helping us build that pathway for him to be able to come to us with his feelings and thoughts. So many times before, prior to these coaching sessions, when I asked him about his day at school, how he was doing or feeling, he would just shrug and say "Good." or "I dunno." However, there was nothing deeper or personal beyond that short superficial response. Even with all the book knowledge that I had acquired from other resources, it didn't help that much when my child was unable/unwilling to express/share how he truly felt or what was on his mind.

We are only 5 weeks into these sessions so far, but we're amazed at the results already. We do our "homework" weekly and it's been great to put everything in practice. I feel more empowered after every session to be on my way to be an effective SEL coach for my child, especially with an anticipated transition to a new school. Our relationship has been really great and I've also become more patient with him.

We have seen gradual improvement in our relationship. We have been joining the course past 6 months. My wife and I were wondering why our daughter was constantly throwing tantrums toward us and refusing any interaction with me, but after reading out the affirmation list she seemed to dissolve a little. At night before bed our daughter told my wife that she loves being praised.

Later I found out I did't give her enough affirmation after she has done something right, especially when I use high pitch when she did wrong and compare with normal voice when she did great. After the session I praised her a lot more with a louder voice and she seems pretty calm ever since. Thank you Miss Candy for the lesson of affirmation.
