Booked a rental car through purchasing…

Booked a rental car through purchasing power. Had to cancel. In order to get our money back through trip insurance we have to have proof showing the rental was cancelled. The rental company cannot provide they say hotelblox has to provide. Purchasing power does nothing after the initial transaction is completed. So it’s a huge run around. When I contacted hotelblox their rep said they’d cancel it then forward proof of cancellation to my email. That’s been almost 3 weeks and I still have not received anything. I paid over 800.00 for this car rental that I never used. AND I’ve paid back purchasing power through my paycheck almost all of it. So my money has just basically been stolen. DO NOT use this service. I will be contacting the BBB, attorney general as well as my attorney to see what legal steps can be taken. I also will be making sure my employer , the public, and all of my friends and family are are aware of this. Unacceptable and unprofessional.

If I could give 0 star I would. I have been trying to get my money back since August! Purchasing Power has been telling me that they will contact me soon for the last 3 months.
They are taking advantage of people. Non responsive. At first, their inbox was full and phone number wasn't working. The last 3 emails I sent, no response. Simply ignoring requests.
Sure Hotelblox, use COVID-19 as an excuse to cheat people. Well done!

Won’t Cancel My Vacation Package

Since covid-19, I’ve been trying to get anyone from Purchase Power or HotelBox to cancel my vacation package due to no flights into the country I booked and I purchased insurance which I have no idea why since I can’t use it seems like and can only get purchasing power to email me stating HotelBox will contact me soon- it’s been over 30 days, still no response from HotelBox. This will be the LAST time I ever purchase anything from HotelBox and purchasing power if I do not get my money back that they continuously collect faithfully every pay period but can’t provide me with a resolution. I can’t even travel. Everything and every event for my vacation has been cancelled! But HotelBox is so backed up it’s taking over a month to respond!!! Unacceptable and ridiculous!!! There’s got to be another way to cancel this!

I am so disappointed that my employer…

I am so disappointed that my employer have contracted, this grossly negligent company, to handle their purchasing power vacation program. They do not provide any other incentives, such as gift cards, when you purchase vacation packages. Let's not forget that you can't EVER get anyone on the phone. I've called from 8am to 5pm one day and ALL I got was the voicemail. Apparently hotelblox can only afford one representative to take these calls. To make matters worse, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they IGNORED it and didn't reply to them either. I'm contacting the department within my agency, who handles the contracts. I'm making a complaint with them and contacting my state's attorney general office. I have to pay the vacation off, myself, and receiving the poorest customer service known to man!!!!!

Terrible experience never use them…

Terrible experience never use them again...30.00 per person to change a mistake they made on last name adding a null at the end...when I had got confirmation it was done right on my part...if I could leave negative -5 stars I would! Beware of Using this company!!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Bad experience. Tried to book a reservation at the Orlando SeaWorld Renaissance through Purchasing Power who used HotelBlox. Never received a confirmation through hotel blox, myself and purchasing power could not get through and finally when someone replied, she had the audacity to email and call saying that my reservation had to be booked 30 days in advance?! Duhhh...my response was I did, but no one ever responded to my email, therefore, PP issued my refund. Unfortunately, when I see a travel Voucher that involves hotel blox, I will not book thru them. Horrible communication and experience

I went through Purchasing Power to book…

I went through Purchasing Power to book a Flight. Hotelblox is the company that assist with the reservation. I booked the reservation on September 12, 2018, It came up as error message and I never received a confirmation, Purchasing Power and I had been trying to contact this company for weeks, Finally a Representative answer the phone and said she is the only one working reservation and she cant answer all the calls and that she will rebook my reservation. I should have heard something by now and still have yet to receive any information on my Intinery . I have been trying to reach Janae by phone and no answer. I will never use this company again. I usually don't complain but this company need help..

I have had nothing but pleasant experience

I have had nothing but pleasant experience with Hotelblox. Once we booked our cruise vacation, we received our booking confirmation. We called and left a message. We received a call back within 3 days. The rep was helpful and explained every step. Everything went without a hitch and my family and I enjoyed our cruise. I will definitely recommend hotelblox to my family and friends.

Took the money and ran

We had been paying on a cruise for several months. We could not get anyone to return our calls and were not being sent any information. We were finally sent two invalid booking numbers. Finally the week before our cruise was to depart someone called and said that someone within the company had embezzled money. They were going to make it right. So after several days, they finally booked the cruise but didn't send us a booking number. That cruise got cancelled. Now they have finally sent a booking number on another cruise and given us very poor accommodations. They promised to add upgrades and ammenities and airfare. They have not done any of this. Apparently this is a very poorly run company with people unable or unwilling to do a job. They lied to us the first time and lied to us again this time. We are booked and will take the cruise because we cannot change our vacation plans but will never book through HotelBlox again and suggest the reader think twice before doing so.
