Beware - the red colour will disappear from your sign!
I bought my first house sign from this company in March 2021. This sign was entitled ‘Poppy Field’, which depicted a British soldier standing over a cross within a poppy field. The images and the lettering on the sign were black, with the petals of the poppies picked out in red. The sign was delivered within a week and I thought that it looked amazing, but one of the fixings had been cross threaded so I contacted their customer service team by sending them an email. That same day they replied and told me that they would send out new fixings that day. This they did and my sign was soon up outside the front of my house, and as a veteran of twenty-four years’ service I was proud that it was hanging there.
In May 2023, some 26 months after I got the sign, I noticed that all of the red petals had disappeared – all of the black images and writing were still perfect. Again, I sent an email to them, and next day customer services contacted me to tell me that this had never happened before, and that they would get another dispatched. In the meantime, I was on their website and noticed another sign that I really liked called ‘The Brave’, which depicted a Scottish soldier in a kilt standing over a cross with a single red poppy on the upper left corner, so I ordered one. The replacement for the ‘Poppy Field’ arrived, but I never put it up, instead waiting for ‘The Brave’ to be delivered, which it was soon after and I replaced the ‘Poppy Field’ with all of the missing poppies with ‘The Brave’.
At the end of June 2025, some 25 months after I put ‘The Brave’ up outside my house, I noticed that the red colour from the single poppy was peeling off, so I again contacted this company by sending an email to them to let them know that this was the case (again, all of the black images and writing are perfect, so the process whereby they add the red colouring is flawed). This time there is a difference, in that they have not bothered to communicate back to me. I waited a week after sending my first email, and then sent another. It’s been another week since I sent my last email to this company, so three in total, and they have not paid me the good grace of replying to these emails, so I’m guessing that they are not really bothered that the signs that have any red on them are useless after two years due to their poor processes of applying the red colour. This is a real pity as the signs look stunning when you first put them up, but not so much when all of the red disappears from them two years later.
My advice would be that if you are going to order a sign from this company make sure that it has no red anywhere on it as it will disappear a couple of years after you put the sign up outside your house! Obviously, that will be nigh on impossible as most of their military signs have red on them somewhere.
Lest We Forget.
