I've been a tenant of Housing Solutions for 25 years, before then it was the Maidenhead and District Housing Association. They claim the name change was to emphasise how much 'excellence in customer service', is at the heart of our organisation. What a joke. Their whole attitude is don't know don't care. In 2017 we had the leaking toilet fiasco that took three months of arguing and complaining to get the job done properly. Then in 2022 they spent God knows how much money replacing roofs on several houses, including ours that didn't need replacing causing absolute chaos. Earlier this year I asked if we could have two new shed doors as they were falling apart with rot. A date was set for the job to be done, so I thought, but no. A man arrived on the due day not to replace the doors just to look at the job. The doors didn't get replaced for another two weeks, and then the guy brought the wrong locks so he had to come back again. Later in the summer, because the front door hadn't been fitted properly in the first place, when the sun shone on it, it expanded so you could not open the door or close it properly. A young lad arrived to cure the problem. he tightened the hinges to no avail, he messed about with the frame but still no cure. Eventually he took out the latch and turned it round. When I asked why he said it would open easier, but the problem was when you pushed the door from the outside it would just open. when he left I just changed it back. It still doesn't fit properly. I really don't think their "tradesmen" are up to the job.
The latest fiasco started on 16th Dec. Our boiler was condemned after a safety check, I was told that a new boiler would be fitted after an asbestos survey. We were left with two small heaters and no hot water. I was given no time line for the replacement boiler to be fitted. There was no sense of urgency. We've just been left to freeze. Its just a complete joke.
