Excellent service, fast and flexible
We have just completed a 10 month+ project to migrate our entire hosted environment from Rackspace to Hyve. We now have over 25 servers hosted at Hyve.
The Hyve team have provided excellent service throughout the migration. They took the time to understand our requirements from the start and advised on migration strategy and the new environment design. At every step, we have had confidence that we have a team available 24/7 who really know their stuff, and will do whatever it takes to make the move successful.
It has been so refreshing to know tickets will be responded to and normally resolved straight away. New servers are spun up within hours instead of weeks. No more approval delays, tickets bounced between different teams, or automated responses. Anything from simple questions to complex issues is dealt with promptly. Engineers are available on the phone to discuss concerns with directly without having to go through a call centre or book a meeting.
Just for balance, Rackspace have more advanced user tools on their web portal, with a firewall manager, VM manager, Cloud manager etc. However, personally I have found unless you use these daily and know the tools inside out, the Hyve ticket response is normally quicker than making changes in the tools yourself. Also, to be honest I am more comfortable for these tasks to be sanity checked by an engineer before updating in a production environment!
Systems performance has also been impressive. Data transfer speeds both between servers and externally are vastly improved. Some of our old servers were struggling with performance. The new servers with the same basic CPU, RAM and Disk spec. as before now whizz along. This is testament to Hyve’s investment in the best backend hardware available. This means that several servers I was expecting to have to upgrade, I no longer need to.
I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Hyve.
Really impressed
I am really impressed with Hyve. Over the past ten years I have used probably a dozen hosting providers for different websites and projects but none have matched Hyve in support and reliability.
I recently had to move one of my largest websites to a VPS after outgrowing the shared server I had been using for the past five years. The website itself isn't big or particularly resource-hungry but we receive around 20k visits a day at the moment and just serving PHP alone at these levels uses quite a lot of CPU and RAM. Having looked on Trustpilot for a good provider I took my chance with the highest rated hosting company at the time but the migration did not go smoothly. It took them 16 days to set up the VPS and when we finally migrated over we had a multitude of problems over the next few weeks as they tried to configure the server and optimise it to suit our needs. Without going into detail we kept getting 500 Internal Server Errors every hour or so which results in a lot of downtime and a big drop in traffic as people could not connect to the site. After a few weeks with very little progress I found Hyve after some desperate searching and gave them a call. I spoke to a guy called Oliver and explained our situation. He told me this was a common issue for misconfigured servers and that the engineers at Hyve had a lot of expertise in this area and would handle everything despite not knowing exactly what the cause or problem was.
It took Hyve literally three hours to get a VPS up and running and migrate our website over. We have been with them for about a month now and I really feel like these guys know what they are doing. We have had to upgrade our server resources to handle an increase in traffic, and despite a few minor problems with emails and other server settings (the server is incredibly secure by default and everything needs to be whitelisted) they are always on the case and reply to support tickets very promptly. Their engineers have even looked at our code on a couple of occasions to offer some optimisation advice - no hosting company I have ever been with has been this thorough and it is very reassuring to know these guys are genuinely interested in providing you with the best service.
My only slight criticism is that Hyve are quite expensive compared to other providers, especially with standard extras like a cPanel licence and SSL certificates that have a fixed cost that is less than what Hyve charge. I paid £25 per year at my previous hosts for an SSL certificate and Hyve charge £100 but really you get what you pay for and the expense is worth it for the added peace of mind that their engineers will install and configure everything for you.
A million percent better than our last provider.
The chaps were great.... There were a couple of niggles that needed sorting out as part of the migration (and not being allowed to "hold" on the phone was a tad annoying) but in general I heartily recommend Oliver and his team. Helpful, easy to deal with, conscientious. Regards Jon Hilton

We host .NET IIS/SQL solutions that serve 500,000+ mobile users for large UK/European food chains, so people can order food from their smartphones. Our systems have to be robust, and high performing.
I have never worked with a company/provider that has their act together like Hyve. Have ZERO hesitation about putting all your faith in this group. Their service is flawless, their sales folks are real, the language is simple, the products easy to understand and deploy.
These are the FASTEST systems connected by the best Internet feeds ever.
We thought Rackspace would be good - but they proved horrendous - everything we asked Rackspace for was hard work, and they could not deliver what the market needs.
Hyve delivered on EVERY SINGLE THING. Infrastructure with no single point of failure. Just perfect.
Outstanding onboarding and support
From initial sales contact to implementation the service levels and communication were impeccable. Really knowledgeable people on the support side who are obviously intent on getting it right for the customer and go above and beyond. Web hosting is important to my company but I have a 100 other priorities - its great to just leave this with Hyve and breathe a sigh of relief its in good hands.

The whole experience of getting a dedicated server setup and running has been great with the Hyve team. Right from the first contact with the sales team to the amazing support team with all my questions on getting the server up and running has been 100%.

Best of the Best
I have been with Hyve a number of years and have been in the ecommerce sector since 1999. I have been put through the mill by other hosting companies who talk a good talk, but soon as there are any issues they seem either not to know what to do or just can't be bothered. The staff turnaround does not help, you are not happy at work you leave so there is a story in itself.
With Hyve any issues get resolved very quickly and no issue is too big or small, the guys on customer server are very good, polite and professional. I have upgraded my servers a few times with no issues, its at times all made to look to easy, which its not, but for me as the customer takes all the pressure off. I have enough issues running my companies than worrying about servers, mail servers etc. Leave it too the experts, Hyve are that and I would have hesitations recommending them to anyone. These guys are brilliant. While cloud hosting is becoming ever cheaper
and you can spin-up servers for small amounts, the reality is that things will and do go wrong. The measure of a good hosting company is how quick they respond to requests and fix things.

Great Service, Advice and Assistance. Try Hyve.....
I've had various types of servers over the years with different companies. The promises of 24 hour support, assistance and advice generally fade away after you've signed the 12 month contract.
Anyway, if you are reading this then either you're new to buying a server or are looking to move your hosting from whatever company you are with and probably are doing so because of the above, so I don't need to ramble on aimlessly telling you what you already know and have experienced. Ramble over with!
In short my experience over the last 2-3 months since I moved some of my servers to the Hyve has been, well how can I sum it up, excellent. They cant do enough to help. They advise, assist and tell you how it is. They are available whatever time of the day or night you need support. They don't leave you hanging on, not knowing when issues may be resolved or tasks completed. Realistice time frames and updates are provided meaning that you are informed and kept in the picture at all time.
I know for some people price is an issue. While Hyve are not the cheapest on the market, they are worth the small extra premium. Remember that price is not everything. Remember that especially when you've got 10 angry clients on the phone at 1 am asking why their websites are off line whilst holding your other phone to your ear waiting for your hosting company support team to answer (they're probably in bed!).
Give these guys a go. I dealt with a guy called Nick Beale, but I am sure anyone at the Hyve can help.

I spent a lot of time selecting Hyve as my hosting partner. My choice was based on the platform Hyve designed for me within their cloud, which turned out to be extremely fast and far more cost effective than the other hosts had proposed.
The icing on the cake, and the reason I decided to write this review was because when I needed support in the middle of the night, the representatives were professional, quick and very knowledgeable!
