ICare Meals-on-Wheels & Care at Home Avis 

I have worked for ICare meals on wheels for nearly 2 years and it’s the best job I have had by far.The job itself is self is very rewarding the service users and their families are lovely and look forward to seeing them.Its lovely that the families but there trust in us to provide an outstanding service and the wellbeing check to give family members piece of mind on their loved ones.The management at Wigan is amazing very approachable will go above and beyond for her staff and service users.i have been getting ICare meals fo my brother he enjoys the meals and the puddings he is getting a healthy hot meal everyday and is putting weight on which I am very pleased with THANKYOU Wigan meals

Not as described on website. I decided to have some hot meals delivered when I have an eye operation and this company advertise on their website that they offer a complimentary meal.

My father, who lived in Coventry, had their meals for many years and the people who delivered them were exceptionally kind.

Incase the meals were not of the same standard as then, I thought I would ask for the complimentary meal first. When I phoned the number the lady asked me where I live and said that she would ask the Birmingham office to phone me.

I received a call but the phone number was not a Birmingham number but their Leicester office, and although the lady was very nice who phoned me, she came on the phone saying I had asked for a complimentary meal. I said I would be ordering meals for when I had an eye operation if I liked the meal. She said they do not deliver to Smethwick where I live as it would take them 40 mins to get here and they did not have time to deliver with all their other deliveries. On their website it does say they deliver to Smethwick and it only takes me 25 mins to get into Birmingham on the bus with stopping at every stop! Yet on their website it also has many areas further out than Smethwick they deliver to, Bromsgrove etc. And when they delivered the meals to my father in Coventry, they said they came from Birmingham!

Is it because I asked for a complimentary meal as advertised on their website that they don't wish to deliver here? And why was someone phoning from their Leicester office, when it was supposed to be Birmingham as the Birmingham office would be delivering the meals. All very odd and should put the correct information on their website and not offer complimentary meals if don't wish people to ask for them.
