I LOCK IT Avis 16

I purchased an iLockIt in November 2025, and by April 2026, barely five months later, the motor has completely stopped working. For a lock priced at €259, that lifespan is simply not acceptable.

Beyond the hardware failure, the day-to-day experience has been frustrating. If the color button was accidentally touched before using the app, the lock would enter a fault state, flash red, and become unresponsive until the timeout cleared, leaving me standing outside waiting for no good reason.

During winter, the cable mechanism would regularly get stuck, forcing me to manually help it retract just to get my bike unlocked. Not what you expect from a premium smart lock. On top of that, the lock has failed to engage on multiple occasions due to the cable getting stuck on the spool, meaning my bike was not actually locked when I thought it was.

To make things worse, the cable itself has rusted. The part that physically locks the bike is now visibly corroded after only a few months of outdoor use. For an outdoor product at this price, that is a serious quality issue.

At this price point, reliability is not optional, it is the entire product. Either the hardware and software need significant improvement, or the price needs to reflect the current quality. The concept is genuinely promising, but the execution falls short.

Ich bin wirklich glücklich mit dem Schloss. Ich habe es jetzt schon 2 Jahre und es ist so viel einfacher als mein Kettenfahrradschloss vorher. Die App funktioniert zuverlässig und ich liebe das automatische Öffnen und Schließen durch Annäherung. Ich habe mir schon das neue Schloss Pro für mein neues Elektrofahrrad gekauft.

Macht was es soll, Öffnung über Annäherung funktioniert gut. Über App viel einstellbar.

Seit einem Jahr nutze ich dieses elektronische Schloss an zwei meiner von mir sehr aufwändig gebauten Pedelecs. Beide Schlösser funktionieren von der ersten Minute an einwandfrei und die GPS Verfolgung nach Testdiebstahl ist sehr genau. So muss das sein.

Ich habe ein sehr hochwertiges Fahrradschloss von Ilockit gekauft. Der Service bzw. die Beratung war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Liegerung erfolgte schnell und problemlos.
Würde jederzeit wieder bei Ilockit einkaufen

Schnelle Lieferung. Gerät funktioniert gut. Ein technisch hervorragend konzipiertes Produkt.

Die Angaben sind zwangsläufig etwas fiktiv, weil das iLockit Pro leider als zu kurz greifend sich herausstellte.

Mein Pedelec ist von den Abmessungen ein ganz gewöhnlich gebautes, eine Gazelle Eclipse.

Der Platz für die Reifenbreite ist knapp ausreichend.

Das serienmäßige AXA IMENSO X-LARGE passt dagegen mit viel Luft zu allen Seiten.

Ich musste es daher schweren Herzens zurücksenden.
Die Rückabwicklung war komplett problemlos und zügig, schneller, als versprochen!

Die Funktionalität möchte ich sogar als liebevoll detailverliebt gestaltet beschreiben.

Allenfalls die Einbindung von Android wird leider vergleichsweise etwas stiefmütterlich umgesetzt, z.B. bzgl der fehlenden Einbindung von SmartWatches.

Ich hoffe daher auf eine baldige Einführung eines größeren Nachfolgemodells mit den Abmessungen eines AXA IMENSO X-LARGE weil das iLockit Pro in seiner grundsätzlichen Funktionalität einfach konkurrenzlos ist

Ich schreibe sonst keine Bewertungen aber ich wollte einfach mal ein großes Danke an den netten Support des Unternehmens da lassen. Ich habe mein iLockit schon seit 4 Jahren und möchte es nicht mehr missen. Daher war ich etwas verzweifelt als ich es bei meinem kürzlichen Fahrradwechsel irgendwie nicht ans neue Rad anbringen konnte. Nach meiner Schilderung bot mir der Support an einfach im Büro vorbeizukommen und tatsächlich konnte mir der freundliche Mitarbeiter helfen und hat mir das Schloss direkt angebaut. Jetzt kann ich wieder ohne lästiges Schlüssel Suchen unterwegs sein. Vielen Dank! :)

Ich habe zwei I LOCK IT GPS PRO und Zubehör (EInsteckketten und Handsender) bestellt. Insgesamt über 750 € ausgegeben. Leider lassen sich die Schlösser nicht zuverlässig nutzen! Immer wieder verlieren die Handsender die Verbindung zum Schloss, das Schloss lässt sich dann nicht mehr ansteuern. Darüber hinaus hängen sich die mechanischen Teile des Schlosses öfter auf, so dass die App nicht mehr weiß, ob das Schloss geöffnet ist oder geschlossen. Eine selbst durchzuführende Reparatur ist nicht möglich. Die Schlösser sind bereits nach 6 Monaten nicht mehr nutzbar!

Kauf von I LOCK IT GPS Mitte 2020. Funktion war gut. Kapazität des Schloss-Akkus nahm kontinuierlich ab, bis sie diesen Herbst bei nahezu Null lag. Ursache laut Untersuchung bei I LOCK IT / haveltec: Alterung der elektronischen Bauelemente auf der Platine, die zu erhöhtem Stromverbrauch führten. Irreparabel! Das sei normal bei Elektronikelementen, die diesen Betriebsbedingungen ausgesetzt sind. Keine Kulanz. Mir ist eine Lebensdauer von 5 1/2 Jahren zu niedrig für ein Fahrradschloss mit diesem Preis. Kein I LOCK IT mehr.

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with I LOCK IT. The lock I purchased caused repeated issues over a long period of time. Eventually it stopped working completely and wouldn’t open, which forced me to take a taxi and spend extra money just to deal with the situation.

When I contacted support, I was told the lock couldn’t be repaired. Instead of offering real compensation or a fair solution, I was only given two options: a replacement of the same model or a discount on a more expensive model. I had expected that they would at least deduct the value of my defective lock if I chose to upgrade — but I was told this was “not possible within their internal process.”

It feels like poor customer service when a customer is left with a product that has been problematic from the start, and the time, frustration, and extra costs involved seem to mean nothing.

I will now receive a replacement lock and hope it works better, but overall the experience has been disappointing, and based on this, I unfortunately cannot recommend I LOCK IT.

Great German bike lock.
Not very cheap, but its super cool you can unlock your bike with a phone. Beside that I brought het version with an alarm en GPS tracking. It works great.
Advise: order the paper-paspartoe and look if the lock will fit. The lock barely fits on my ebike, but its okay. Sometimes the locking mechanism hits my spoke.
When ordering, my address (housenumber) did not appear correctly on the track and trace. When I mailed the customerservice about it, I didnt get a satisfying answer. I am glad could change the courier delivery to a service-point.
