Genuine and honest
From the onset, their responses to my questions were prompt and transparent. Although, I did not use their service to install carpet - me and my landlord had problems about installation- their support in helping to solve my carpet problem with my Landlord was excellent!

Unfortunately, after looking at the damage, we had to advise that on this occasion the carpet simply wasn’t repairable. As much as we’d love to help every customer with a repair, sometimes the best advice we can give is not to waste your money trying to repair something that isn’t going to give you a satisfactory result.
In this case, replacement really is the only sensible option. We’re sorry we couldn’t help with the repair itself, but honesty is always the best policy, and we’ll never recommend taking someone’s money for a repair we don’t believe will work.

I have just spent 2 days with the carpet repair guys- Richard learning the latest techniques of carpet repair from seeming repairs, patch repairs and door threshold carpet repairs the training was invaluable Richard is extremely experienced in this and does an excellent job when out on jobs and in his teaching.

Just spoke to the Carpet Guys regarding a stain on the carpet I tried to remove. Unfortunately using the supermarket product I had made the situation worse, stain can no longer be removed. I appreciate the honest assessment so am giving them 5 stars as it's best to know the truth.

When I started this business, there simply wasn’t a specialist service out there offering the level of carpet repair solutions that people needed. Over the years, we’ve helped save carpets for tenants, homeowners, landlords, offices, hotels and businesses across London, Kent, Essex and beyond.

When I first started The Carpet Repair Guys, I honestly believed there was a gap in the industry for a true specialist carpet repair service — one built around experience, honesty and finding the best possible solution for people rather than simply telling them to replace their carpet.
Over the years, I’ve seen just about every type of damage imaginable, and I’m proud that we’ve been able to help so many tenants, homeowners and businesses save carpets they thought were beyond repair.
What matters most to me is that we always try to give genuine advice. Sometimes that means carrying out a repair, and sometimes it means being honest and explaining that repair may not be the best option. I think that honesty and experience are a big part of why people continue to trust us.

Contacted Richard in regards to a hair straightener burn on our daughter’s bedroom carpet. Five stars for honesty and Professionalism
Asked them to quote on repairing burn damage to a carpet in a rental flat. They took the time to understand the full situation - looked at the carpet style, assessed the type of damage, and gave me considered, thoughtful advice rather than a quick no.
They were upfront that a patch repair would most likely fall short of my hopes, and then, went above and beyond to write me a professional recommendation that I could use for the deposit claim against the tenants. No charge, no job to gain from it.
Responsive, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to help when they didn't have to. Would use them again without hesitation.

Sometimes the most important part of the process is giving honest advice, even when that means recommending that a repair may not achieve the standard a customer is hoping for. Every carpet is different, and factors such as carpet type, age, wear and the nature of the damage all influence what can realistically be achieved.
In this case, after assessing the burn damage and the carpet style, I felt that a patch repair was unlikely to provide a satisfactory finish. Rather than carry out a repair that may not meet expectations, I felt it was more helpful to provide a professional written recommendation that could support the deposit claim process.
My aim is always to give clear, genuine guidance so customers can make informed decisions, whether that leads to a repair or simply understanding the best way forward.
