From the beginning to the end of this trip, we were greeted and taken care of like royalty. No, it was truly amazing and so reassuring to have people taking care of us in a country that could be confusing if we had to do it all on our own. Our hotels were all fantastic. Our guides were great and most of all believe it or not, and all of our travels we’ve been doing for the last couple of months we had the best driver ever it was amazing. His name is Sally. I think it’s his name in short, but that’s what he said to call him. He drove so well through India, which is a pretty crazy country to drive there it made like just a little bit more agreeable every day. Other than that he was funny agreeable and even loaned me money one time at a restaurant I only had dollars. All in all it was a fantastic trip. I highly recommend this agency to have a smooth and incredible trip everything that was chosen for us to see undo was amazing.

In planning the tour, we had some clear ideas on places we wanted to visit, and on the pace of the itinerary.

Maddie organised a 10 day trip around Rajasthan for us. We had a wonderful time. Everything that she recommended was excellent. We even got a complimentary upgrade to a huge 1300 sq ft suite at one of the Oberoi Hotels. Our package also offered 25% discounts on the Oberoi spa treatments (the 3-hour treatment that includes body massage, facial and head massage were extraordinary); laundry service; and meals not included in the plan. The curated private tour exceeded our expectations, and we plan to visit India again with Indian Excursions. We asked for some special activities and Maddie delivered. Absolutely grand experiences thanks to Maddie and Shiv. They will move mountains to satisfy. Very amiable to work with, respectful and gracious. Tour guides and driver (Mr. Barthi) were exceptional. And the luxury van was very comfortable for the long and short drives. If you want memorable experiences in India, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Indian Excursions. I've been on tours with other companies in Europe, but this company is now my gold standard for luxury travel. Best value for your hard-earned money. Great experience with an in-country expert company. From first airport greeting, local representatives, tour guides everything was great particularly our fantastic driver.

Indian Excursions curated the most incredible mother-daughter trip for us – every detail was thoughtfully planned and perfectly tailored to our preferences. This month we took our second trip to India with Indian Excursions Co. (“IE”). The first trip was in 2018, to Rajasthan, which is IE’s primary focus, and we wrote a very positive review following that trip. This month we traveled with them to the South - Goa, Mumbai and Aurangabad (to see the Ajanta and Ellora caves – they are amazing!), where IE also offers tours. The quality of the service they provided on this trip was no less than on the first one. On both trips they did everything they said they would do and more. I don’t see how anybody could have done it better.
While IE offers set itineraries on their website, they are responsive to requests for changes. On this trip they added at our request additional touring in Goa. Again, they made traveling solo very easy and safe. Our accommodations were all at Taj hotels, which are luxurious and have excellent restaurants and facilities. As last time, at each location we had a dedicated guide, who in every case was very knowledgeable and responsive and, together with the driver, friendly and committed to taking good care of us. We were always transported in a new SUV stocked with water and snacks. IE arranged and ticketed our domestic flights and picked us up from and brought us back to the airport for our next flight, no matter what time of day or night. The touring was great. We saw all of the most significant sites (temples, forts, palaces, etc.) but also got to see where people worked (e.g,, fishermen bringing in their nets and selling their fish), prayed, shopped (both at outdoor markets and modern malls) and lived. We walked through the slums in Mumbai and drove through villages in the countryside and prosperous neighborhoods. We felt that we had seen or done whatever could be packed into the limited time we had for the trip.
In sum, we can’t recommend them highly enough.

Visiting India has always been in our bucket list but didn't want to venture on our own. Our original plan going via a cruise got cancelled but we had our heart set on going so my partner started searching for travel companies and that's how we found Indian Excursions and what a serendipitous find!

It was a pleasure planning our trip to Rajasthan with Maddie. We gave her our parameters of # of days, must see places and hotels we wanted to try and came up with an itinerary that was just perfect for us.

But the true test of Shiv & Maddie's commitment to their clients happened when a week before our trip, there was an accident in our house and we, unfortunately, had to cancel. Just one call to Maddie explaining our situation and she took care of everything and was able to negotiate an extension with all our hotels.

We finally went on our India adventure and it was worth the wait! There was always one representative that met us when we arrived/left each city, our personal driver (Narendra) who was on standby and took care of us during our whole trip and of course, the local guides who took us to see the sights and explained the history of the places we visited. It was also really nice that we met Shiv while we were in Delhi.

If ever we have the pleasure of returning to India, my call would only be to Maddie & Shiv. Thank you both for a memorable trip!
