My experience with the PIP assessment process handled by Ingeus and the Health Assessment Advisory Service has been extremely distressing.
I am a vulnerable claimant with diagnosed autism and significant mental health difficulties. Despite this being known and documented, I received unexpected phone calls related to my assessment. During one call I tried to answer questions but quickly became overwhelmed and had to stop because of the stress. I had previously requested reasonable adjustments and a paper-based assessment due to the impact that sudden calls and high-pressure questioning can have on me.
The situation was made more confusing when the call appeared not to be recorded in the system afterwards. I provided evidence from my phone showing the time and duration of the call so it could be investigated.
For vulnerable people, the assessment process can already be incredibly difficult. Unexpected contact, unclear procedures, and having to repeatedly explain complex mental health conditions can cause serious distress. Processes need to be consistent, transparent, and sensitive to the needs of disabled claimants.
I’m sharing this because the system affects real people. I hope that by highlighting my experience, it encourages greater care and understanding in how assessments are conducted, especially for those of us with neurodevelopmental conditions or severe mental health difficulties.

What a waste of time, energy and our money, I was sent here under duress via threats of sanctions from the jobcentre in Barnsbury (I hadn't been signing on for the 12months needed to go on this bogus scheme)
It started off OK with so many promises of help and support but soon turned into nothing more than a targeted weekly tick box exercise just like the jobcentre (except theirs is drop down boxes now)
If you aren't an immigrant/refugee or have ever had a job, and can comprehend and speak at least a primary level grade of English, Do Not Attend or waste your time here as help and support is non existent despite their claims.
I gave up on month 3 as I see they're just full of it, wasting my time and energy with lies and empty promises, they have very little to nothing to offer (despite jobcentre and ingeus claim of resources)
I don't think I attended any of their so called 'mandatory appts' after the level of disrespect and disregard shown, but somehow they kept harassing me with texts, emails (none of which were job related) for the remainder of the year. I closed my account (as they force you to sign into their dud ingeus systems) and put them on a block list so I don't get further correspondence, notified jobcentre that I'm not attending and to tell these clowns to stop contacting me which didn't happen.
These clowns and these repackaged schemes need shutting down ASAP. This is another Tory ponzi scheme like that of A4E, just squandering more of our money on a repackaged bogus targeted tick box service company, dare I say jobcentre can do a better job? But they gta spend our money somehow in the name of public service.
Advisors are all miserable and whack from low level to senior management I don't understand how, they're paid handsomely on our money (could just be the stress of being in a target driven hell hole, think commission based sales)
I feel sorry for anyone having to be forced to attend this ridiculous place. I will say to you don't attend and fight your case in court should you need to.

Ingeus assessor claimed to see me on video despite her camera being broken the whole time. She then wrote a report 'observing' my movements and appearance. Total lack of professional integrity. No notes of how I am really coping with my daily activities really poor service, I’ve will be reporting the nurse to the NMC and have lodged a formal complaint with the DWP. Do not trust the 'video link'—request a recording!"

Terrible experiences.
I was referred to the ingeus offices in Camberwell as part of their restart scheme. I knew something was wrong the moment the advisor I had working with me told me about all his "connections to the job market" only to show me job sites that anyone can find with a simple Google search (indeed, gov.uk).
I had previously worked in education but wanted a change of career which is understandably difficult when my experience was in a particular field that I didn't want to be a part of anymore. Because of this I couldn't find work promptly enough and ended up having to move out of London and back home. I had told them in person and on the phone that I was moving away and they said they would sort it all out for me to continue the scheme when I was moved back home. This is where all contact stopped from them. I tried to call their Camberwell offices and nobody ever picked up the phone, my emails were ignored and they were caught lying to a work coach at the job centre back home once I moved by saying I had avoided contact with them when I had proof (emails, call logs) that I had tried to make contact. I even called their main offices and explained the situation, I had someone on the other end of the phone say they'd get a member of the Camberwell offices to ring me to sort this out. And unsurprisingly I never did get that phonecall. This led to me being sanctioned for months and receiving a total of around £14 of financial aid over the last few months of 2025. Come January 2026, I get into a permanent role at a workplace without any help from them. And magically after my first week there I receive a voicemail from my initial advisor from restart in Camberwell saying it flagged on their system that I had found work and that they'd like the details so it can be put on their files. I found this funny considering they did nothing to help me for months, in fact they hindered my progress by crippling me financially through those sanctions that they refused to have any dialogue with me about. But the moment I find work on my own, they call me and ask for details so they can make it look like they'd helped me find the job. When I emailed back saying I won't be providing details, I get more emails back from them asking for details of my workplace. More emails and contact than I had received throughout the whole of my time with them during this fiasco they'd created for me.
It's incredibly clear that they don't care about their clientele or the job they've been hired by the government to complete. There is zero accountability from them and they're currently trying their hardest to wriggle out of my request for my 'right to be forgotten' to be exercised as per the UK GDPR guidelines as I do not want a company that showed such disregard towards me keeping my personal data on file.
My advice is to record everything, every interaction and meeting so that when they inevitably try to lie their way out of any accountability you can show proof to the relevant people and save yourself the trouble of months long struggles to even hear a peep out of them.

They do not value their staff at all and would throw them under the bus if they can, they’re are manipulative, two faced, uncaring and business driven despite all the nonsense they spew about helping their clients. They talk the talk but cannot walk the walk and the staff turnover is incredible, they will force you out of the business if you do not fit in. They are deceptive, they lie and they cheat, they do not stick to their own values and will do whatever they can to save their own skin. Do not trust, do not work for them. They cannot be trusted and are not decent humans, they’re manipulating and cold, it’s all a front.

I was referred to Ingeus by Jobcentre Plus. Ingeus are so unlike the Jobcentre. Ingeus East London staff are so friendly and approachable. They really know their stuff and offer all kinds of inhouse workshops run by a very experienced guy. My advisor really wants to help me and is supportive.

They do not care about their customers, much less staff. They claim to be a disability confident company, but they allow bullying, racism and s*xual harassment of their staff with 'nothing to see here' and disregard customers with genuine support needs. They do not even like to hire people who have been out of work for some time, but are an employability provider. Smh. They do not support the participants the way that they are contracted to do and are committing fr*ud on a DWP contract, robbing the tax payers daily. Disgusting and definitely do not live up to any value they claim the company prides themselves on.

It is with great regret and grave concern that I find myself writing to following my phone conversation with your colleague, X, at PiP Claim Assessment this afternoon at 12:15pm today - contact number 0800 008 3075. I spoke to the DWP PiP claim people yesterday, X Case Worker at Preston office (third call I have had to make since 9th September 2025 when I put my PiP claim in online) and told her that the 8 week PiP Claim Assessment period was now up and could she update on the DECISION? I stressed that I am suffering from a certified long term depression with suicidal thinking etc and that ESA payments are not enough to meet my monthly cost of living expenses and thus I am in now in debt with a company called STOP
BAILIFF trying to negotiate a payment plan based on my PiP award. In addition I am not able to apply for a Blue Badge Parking Disability badge as I need a PiP reference number. Camden Council (Cc’d in on this email eg SafeTracel) has kindly put a Parking Enforcement valid to 9 November 2025 expecting a reference number from PiP for my Blue Badge. X advised I call your company, INGEUS, outsourced PiP Claim Assessment organisation, for an update on where my Claim Assessment is.
I spoke to X at Ingeus who did not have any accurate update information despite my PiP claim being submitted 8 weeks ago!

OMG my son has epilepsy, cerebral palsy,speech disorder, learning disability and the person who did the health assessment was a physiotherapist everything I said hasn't been put down some things were twisted they never spoke or saw my son but put down answers like they had they called him a she and the physio recommends my son is reviewed again in 18 months time to see if his learning disability and cerebral palsy has got any better you couldn't make it up if you tried.

I received a letter from Ingeus which is factually incorrect and when tried ask for a correct letter stating the facts their is a refusal to change the
legality of the letter.
Ingeus is about blame and shame rather than ownership and expansion.

As I have stated earlier my son and I are victims of hate crime relating to the national enquiry in child sex abuse with perpretraitors working and manipulating the public sector. Four head teachers are involved as well as many in the public and private sector with symapthy's to child abuse and using phones, whats app group data theft hacking malicious communication i allege and ultimately aim to prove.
Because the NSFT is involved in various wrong doing including I allege HARASSMENT and safeguarding offences including being involved in attempted state kidnap which was investigated over a period of months by the SWC, and because the date of the assessment in the letter and the fact they have arranged the appointment on this date when I had no idea or input or have sent any information into the DWP regards my health.
I will attend the new IICSA which is in a safehouse to keep TEACHERS POLICE COUNCIL HEALTH CHURCH out with further information regards the sex abuse scandal that continues not only blight their life but using 'DEVIOUS' 'CRUEL' methods such as using job roles as a cover in what is essentially already organised crime.
I never contacted Ingeus as I have never claimed PIP despite being entitled.
It is HARASSMENT to contact a patient to HARASS saying that they themselves contacted Ingeus when they did NOT and abuse of DPA maybe malicious communication in which the NHS in Norfolk are heavily involved in concealed phone abuse.
Your agent just cut me off after 25 minutes refused to amend the letter which is legally incorrect like yesterday when the same issues occurred.
I am a former DWP employee and will make them aware of your offences.

Your agents have cut the call and refused to deal with legal letters that constitute harassment.
Two male agents cut the call with no warning after I gave the reasons I wished to have an accurate letter today. I was not rude as the call will show and if it is Ingeus policy to cut calls then the regulator will be advised as is the case in Norfolk County Council Norwich police and other call centres where this has occurred.
This letter will be used in evidence as will the wrong information and the appointment date given and the people in the call centre will have their calls listened to by solicitors working for myself and my son.
DWP CONFIDENTIALITY ABUSE SAFEGUARDING OFFENCES
Just had a call from a 'case manager' classed as harassment.
She demanded that no complaints have been made, their was no apolgiseys about evidenced lies by staff potentially involved in hate crime/ phone crime cutting calls and returning my old phone number on my account excusing them from phoning me to sort out my son's payments they illegally removed. She advised the senior manager would not phone me back as per procedure and likely would know my devices are hacked into.
Apart from all of this she, has written on my notes she tried to call me TWICE ( which she didn't ) and wasn't able to get through.
To assist her i allege to assist those who stalk and harass us each day. If she phoned an old number it would be dead and she wouldn't try twice.
She is attempting to pervert the course of justice and become an accessory to safeguarding crime I allege.
She spoke to me from a recorded line, and I will use it in evidence against but Ingeus and DWP.
I believe and allege they are communicating by phone to assist those that harm.
DWP already peddles paternity tests that don't always work. Look at the Times legal pages.
My son's dad knew this, as his brother worked for DWP CSA served me it and i did it as i had nothing to hide.
Ingeus is an insincere leftover with staff that accuse govt offcials of peadofillia on tape.
It has no goals to enhance the lives of it's clients.
It is a sorry place and hurtful place and it's shortcomings will be picked up and run with by companies that focus on the positives of workers and want expand their talents rather than belittle exceptional workers because their jealous.
I hope the DWP go 4 Ivy or a new org that focusses on the can, the ability, the humour, the personality, the investment rather than the negativity that reeks from ingeus. A can't do org rather than a can do

Worse then horrible, waited over an hour for my first appointment, they kept on saying it would be another 5 minutes, when they did come they didn’t apologise, wouldn’t listen to what you have to say, a lot of the staff had a bad attitude, weren’t helpful, staff would be walking around chatting while people were waiting for there appointments

My experience at Ingeus was extremely positive. The company provides support and help in all areas of job search, from CV improvement, to multiple workshops such as interview preparation and building businesses as a self employed entity. I cannot recommend enough!.
