Inksters Solicitors Glasgow have put our family through hell over a period of 2 years and 4 months and our health suffered as a direct result of this firms behaviour.
2 YEARS 4 MONTHS is the time it took for them to finalise our late mothers estate and charge a STAGGERING £22572 for the work. No property involved just 13 investments that needed to be cashed in.
STEPHANIE CHRISTIE CARMICHAEL AND BRIAN INKSTER are without doubt the worst solicitors I have encountered in my entire life. The amount of mistakes that occurred during the process was just unbelievable leading us to lodge 21 complaints to the SCOTTISH LEGAL COMPLAINTS COMMISSION who then referred some of them to the LAW SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND.
The SCOTTISH LEGAL COMPLAINTS COMMISSION investigation led to them deciding that the level of service was below what should be expected of a firm of Solicitors and they were ORDERED TO PAY £2100 compensation to our family.
Mistakes included sending me FINANCIAL DETAILS OF 117 OTHER CLIENTS MATTERS that they were also dealing with. A shocking betrayal of these clients TRUST never mind 117 breaches of CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY and DATA BREACHES. I am in possession of a confidential e mail from STEPHAINE CHRISTIE CARMICHAEL to BRIAN INKSTER where she makes a derogatory comment about me. This was reported to the LAW SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND under a misconduct complaint.
My now retired financial advisor has more than 50 clients who have dealings with Inskters recently and almost every one has terminated their relationship with this firm and at least half of them have lodged formal complaints some of which are also now with the SCOTTISH LEGAL COMPLAINTS COMMISSION for and also the LAW SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND for INVESTIGATION
You have been warned.

I received the best service imaginable from Inksters in Thurso from the solicitor in Thurso, Charlotte Platt. She arranged my Will and my two powers of attorney very efficiently and very good value. I highly recommend.

Wish I could give zero stars! I called first thing on Monday expecting a local office in Shetland. It went through to Glasgow who decided that Thurso would be my closest office.. d'oh... no! Glasgow is much easier for me to get to.
But anyways, I was promised a call that day. I requested asap!
Well, this is Thursday evening and no call this week so far!
Too late anyway as I've got my answer from another local company!

Absolute useless. I had a defamation case, it was urgent as ongoing via social media. I chased and chased them, it was embarrassing. I raised a complaint with the owner of the solicitor firm, hoping it would improve things. It didn’t. Seven weeks after contacting them they finally wrote to me, but only after I chased them 5 times. Stay away, they are utterly useless, they simply don’t respond.

complete shambles..a complete and utterly waste of my 5 years using this firm and there solicitors....5 years and 5 figures down and 3 solicitors down to where i had to chase up work to find out the solicitors i was using left...im still being billed and still no work completed...complaint after complaint...failed telephone appointments failed on lack of care and duty as a firm....tried contacting brian who runs the firm back in january and february 2023 only to be ignored so i finally tracked down another solicitor to then be billed more from inksters before i recieved my files....what a cheek....cant reply to emails of compaints but handy enough to serve final bills and chase money!!!!!!! then!!!! then!!!!!.....on november 2023 adam johnson from the firm happily called to take on the complaints and issues only for me to find out he left around january 2024......so a very big report been put in to the law society.....big on
promises but fail you everytime....anyone reading this please for the love of god....avoid....this firm can not be trusted......all my money savings i had gone and still to this day no further forward than where i was when i started using this firm back in 2019.....i have not long found out that all that had to be done from the firm was to contest perpetual interdict that i was served on n they have dragged out other work that was never needed....my trust to this firm and i have been robbed blind and ignored....gaslighted all the way through the use of this firm.....i have heart disease and been full on depression and suicidal attempts due to this firms failed promises failed actions and dis-respect and theft of every penny i had to spend on soi can have a nice home for me and my kids......please anyone reading this.......STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM

The worst... deliberately ignored me for half a year for some bizarre reason, and that is after dropping the house I was bidding on *after* the offer was accepted for some bizarre reason. Wasted a year and a half because of them, besides the house! Horrible people. especially Charlotte!
