I received one of their jackets as a birthday gift from my sister, but unfortunately the fit was off (too tight around the bottom hemline). I contacted customer service on 5 February requesting to return it. Initially, I was told they’d be happy to assist with an exchange, if I wished to try an alternative size, and I was given a return address.
After considering it, I decided I’d prefer a refund instead as I was worried that the design wouldn’t suit me even in the next size up. However, 5 days later, I was told I couldn’t return the item because it had been purchased during a sale - something that wasn’t made clear upfront, especially since it was part of a 25% off site wide promotion, not a clearly marked “final sale section”. Their policy also says that the fastest way to exchange, is to return the item you have, and then once accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
As I was worried that I’d be stuck with a jacket I can’t wear, I asked for sizing details to decide whether an exchange might work, but received no response for 12 days. Frustrated, I returned the jacket anyway using the address they had already provided. After further chasing via email and Instagram, they replied saying they didn’t understand the confusion and asked what size I wanted - completely ignoring the previous issues and lack of communication.
I sent a detailed email on 28 Feb explaining the inconsistencies in their return policy, unclear website, and lack of responses. Despite this, I had to chase again before receiving a reply on 9 March with sizing information, but no real resolution.
By that point, I had completely lost confidence in the brand and again requested a refund instead of an exchange, given that the returned jacket had already been delivered to them. I never received a response to that request.
Thankfully, my sister paid via Klarna and was able to recover the money through them, otherwise I don’t know how much longer this would have gone on for.
Overall, this experience was incredibly frustrating: slow responses, unclear policies, poor communication, and zero accountability. For a brand selling premium-priced leather outwear, the customer service falls far below expectation. It honestly gives off scam-like energy - save yourself the stress and shop elsewhere!!
I have an item that is faulty (stitching is undone). I contacted In my element who asked me to send photos which I did on the 4th February. I have followed up on several occasions and have received no response. All I want is to return the item for a full refund as its faulty but they will not respond and other than email there is no other way to contact them. So far I'm not impressed.
Just wanted to post this as there is so little information/reviews on this company.
I ordered two leather jackets from them, they arrived 4 weeks after ordering (the website does advise they make them to owner), and they are exactly as pictured/expected. Happy with the purchase. They also responded to my inquiry regarding shipping date on instagram.
The most beautiful jackets ever! I originally bought 1, got it, and went back to buy 3 more. Their sample pieces are beautiful and unique too. Love love love this brand.
I ordered one of the sample jackets and it’s absolutely stunning. The quality is amazing. The delivery was super fast, within a day or two from when I ordered.
Unfortunately the jacket was missing a strap when I received it, but I contacted customer service and they had the strap sent out to me the following day. I’m really surprised to read the bad reviews as I had a really good experience, from the fast delivery to the quality of the jacket to the customer service! Can’t fault them at all.
I bought a jacket from here after seeing it everywhere on ig and tiktok. However, after waiting some time for the dispatch email, I looked at the TrustPilot reviews and became really worried that I’d just dropped hundreds of pounds on a fraudulent shop! I tried contacting In My Element Clo for an update via their recommended channels (on their WhatsApp, Email and contact form) and didn’t hear from them at all. I was really getting worried, so I tried messaging them on Instagram. The person on there replied within minutes and was so helpful and put me totally at ease. Not long after, I received the jacket and it’s perfect. Just wanted to leave this review to reassure people that this is a legit shop, it’s a shame the customer service was so poor via their recommended channels, but at least you can get hold of them on Instagram and the quality of the item is perfect. Took 3 weeks to arrive from the date of ordering.
Feels like a scam
Ordered a leather jacket on 27th March.... It’s now been over a month no product, no tracking, no proper updates. One vague reply, then complete silence.Unprofessional, unreliable, and disrespectful. Do not trust this brand.
Order placed on 2 December, no updates received on shipping and have therefore requested a cancellation and full refund. Made multiple attempts to contact customer service and have received no response so will be forced to escalate with my bank. Very clear to me that these people are scammers and are not running a legit company.
Order never arrived after being returned by customs, no refund, customer service never responded to my emails, even after contacting on social media. AVOID!
