Postage way too expensive
Postage way too expensive. Also courier refused to leave the small envelope without me jumping through hoops.
Almost £9.00 postage for 2 small items is unacceptable.

Thank you for your review.
With regards to the postage, we have held our prices since 2014 and absorb each price increase from our courier.
Sadly, once the parcel has left us we are in the hands of our courier. As there was no leave safe instructions on your order, APC are unable to leave any parcel due to the increase of deliveries going missing.
Once we had been aware of this problem, we contacted APC directly for you and asked for this to be left as per your instructions the next working day.
Sorry again for any inconvenience caused with regards to the delivery.

I have been using this great company since Joan was in Wixhall. I Followed her to Whitchurch then Ellesmere. I attended a number of Joan’s excellent courses. She is a sad loss.
The company continues to be professional but very friendly helpful and informative. There products are of the highest quality and have never let me down.

As a company we like to ensure that all of our products are sourced to a high quality.
With regards to our postage costs, the carriage that we pay to our couriers or the Royal mail is not the sole cost of despatching an item from our warehouse. The processing cost of many orders often needs to be subsidised by ourselves.
Sadly smaller items often do not allow sufficient margin to cover this outflow, ultimately making the cost of despatch to us greater than any return we can make on the item.
It is for this reason that although we do charge by the volumetric weight there still has to be a minimum delivery charge on small orders.

Excellent service in correcting an over-ordering issue.
The bun feet we ordered were excellent, but we had ordered online where it was only possible to order in multiples of four, while we only needed 14. I contacted JA Milton who were kind enough to arrange to refund us for two unnecessary but beautiful bun feet. Had we known to order by phone, we would have been able to order the correct number.

The product was great however shipping…
The product was great however shipping was an issue. The shipping charge was very expensive for such a small lightweight item that would have fitted through the letterbox. Evri required a signature resulting in two non deliveries.
A cheaper option to use Royal Mail would be welcome.

I'm glad that you are happy with the products you received from us.
With regards to the postage, unfortunately, we have had issues with our small braid orders going missing so we had been sending them fully tracked via our courier APC. This is the default setting on our website. If you wanted to place any further orders and was happy for this to be sent via Royal Mail at the cheaper rate, we would be more than happy to send this but we wouldn't be able to send it again if it was lost. To do this you would need to call the office.

Good quality braids
Good quality braid samples for an antique chair we are reupholstering. Arrived very quickly. I would be more than happy to use any of these on upholstery jobs - none were quite the right shade for this job, but we always obtain samples for our customers approval so I'm sure they will be useful for future jobs. Well done JAM.
