Absolutely would recommend Jane Brooks law Hedon to anyone. Lindsay and her team are brilliant, from start to finish. We where always kept up to date every step of the way, any questions by myself and husband where dealt with quickly. From us instructing them to us completing it was around a month and half. Very happy with service we received, would definitely use again 😀

We used Jane Brooks to assist us in buying a house, they were great from the start efficient and reliable. Eleanor Dobson was brilliant and kept us up to date with all stages and answered all of our questions. From having the offer accepted to moving in we were 9 weeks due to waiting for the other party but the way Eleanor worked for us we could of been in even quicker, she was great! Thank you to the full team, we will definitely recommend you to others and wouldn't hesitate to use you again.

Would not recommend. Used for sale and purchase. Started off with a "sale pack" being sent to me which wasn't even for a house I owned and got worse from there. Very bad communication and misinformation. I was given 2 different dates for completion (typo apparently) which meant my mortgage was released 3 days earlier than it should have. I wasn't even informed when the sale/purchase had completed. Would not use again.

The only reason that we give this law practice one star is that Trustpilot will not allow us to award zero stars!
They were handling the conveyancing on our house purchase and did an appalling, negligent job. All of their communications with us were slow and we had to repeatedly chase them up to find out how the purchase was progressing. Worse, as a result of their failure to communicate properly with our vendors, important, time sensitive information was not passed on (they sent it to the wrong email address and did not check to see if it had been received) and as a result, we lost our dream home.
Our complaint was ignored for over three weeks and they then refused to accept any responsibility, their communications becoming increasingly abrupt and rude.
In the end, we had to contact the Legal Ombudsman, who swiftly found that they had been negligent and ordered them to refund our fees, pay us compensation and write us a formal letter of apology. This they have now done but have still attempted to wriggle out of responsibility by saying that it was a human error and not negligence.
Although we have received compensation, the Ombudsman is strictly limited in the amount that can be awarded and, in addition to the distress caused, we have been left out of pocket by nearly £3,500 in terms of surveys, non-refundable moving costs etc.
Our advice to you is; do not use this firm!
Rachel Watkinson at Jane Brooks Law Hessle handled both our sale and purchase of houses. Along with Louise and Rachel N they made the process easy and quick. We always managed to speak to someone who could help when we needed to and our questions no matter how daft were always replied to promptly.
Thank you so much for everything. We would recommend you to anyone and would use you again!

The staff at Jane Brooks Law at Priory Way Hessle are really professional Rachel Watkinson in particular was very helpful answering the emails which was very good at a very stressful time. Even in times of COVID they worked really to complete the work required.

We were recommended to use Jane Brooks Law by our Estate Agency, I can honestly say that Jane Brooks Law were professional, honest and extremely helpful. We had a difficult chain and there were times when we thought things were going to go wrong however, JBL kept in constant contact and worked hard to resolve any problematic issues that arose during the conveyancing process. I strongly recommend JBL and will defiantly be using them in the future.

Incredibly slow and communication dreadful. Only updates received were when we chased, no proactive communication at all. Nobody ever available and promised call backs do not happen. Really disappointed with the service.
Having travelled by public transport to the Hedon office I was not allowed inside the building presumably due to COVID which I understand the reason for this.Therefore had to conduct my business on the doorstep within a really busy street. My question is why was I not informed that this was the process when I rang the office to let them know when I would be coming in. If I had known this then I would have made an appointment with the solicitor to discuss my paperwork.
Straight forward purchase from the council. However using this company, nothing was straight forward. Poor communication through being unclear in what to provide down to delays in getting back to me. Oh and don't ask for timescales, they won't give any (even approximate)!
Not handled our move date very well at all. Our bank has release our funds but Jane Brooks have had 'banking issues'. Had no updates all day, do not recommend at all.
They do not do their job well. They put us in a difficult situation.
Assisted with my remortgage....so simple so easy...great communication...all sorted in 4 weeks....couldnt be happier
