There is a good amount of equipment in the gym, including the sauna. Can get pretty busy at times or even if it's not it can be hard to get on equipment sometimes, but thats just gyms I guess. Staff... Voir plus

Well equipped and large floor space, however freezing cold as Air Con active even though it is -5 outside. Apparently this can only be managed from Head Office. It is so cold in the Changing rooms y... Voir plus

Great gym very spacious
Great gym very spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good price and great 24hr access. Good parking and great location. The only downside is dealing with the central office for freezing fees when on holiday etc - just dire slow customer service

There is a good amount of equipment in the gym, including the sauna. Can get pretty busy at times or even if it's not it can be hard to get on equipment sometimes, but thats just gyms I guess. Staff and PTs are always really friendly and ready to help, good crack as well. Decent atmosphere, music etc

Air con
So they've decided to turn the air con of in the night even thou were in the middle of a heatwave the heat in the gym actually takes your breath as you walk in its that hot PUT IT BACK ON only Cheltenham jd does this I train in alot due to work only Cheltenham messes with the air con so much

New member feedback
Only just joined but seems to be a great and varied range of equipment available. I was a little dissapointed with the shower facilities. Low water pressure and no ability to have anything other than a red hot shower. With temperatues like we have currently, it would be nice to be able to reduce the heat slightly to suit.

No‑Contract, but Still Can’t Cancel
I joined the no‑contract membership because I only go to the gym in winter. I thought I could cancel at any time.
I sent the cancellation form one week before my next payment. They replied and said they received it, but told me the membership was not cancelled and that I had to wait. After that, they charged me for one more month.
I wanted to stop the direct debit, but the website warns about extra administration fees, which feels wrong. The cancellation was confirmed only after the extra payment had already been taken.
£30 is not a lot of money, but the feeling of being tricked is very bad. I will not join JD Gym again, I will not shop at JD Sports again, and I will warn others.

Equipment needs fixing, not enough lockers
I’ve been a member since the Cheltenham branch opened. The Safety Squat Bar has been missing the main pad for over a year. I don’t understand why the membership is so expensive if it’s not to fund the upkeep of equipment
Also why does the gym allow for people to use the lockers when they are not in the gym. I was 1 of 5 members in the gym and all the lockers were in use. Which meant I had to carry my bag around.

Please invest in a Minibeast!
Great range of equipment although some not designed for people with certain conditions… arthritis, loss of balance to name a few.
If you had a machine called the Minibeast which combats these problems helping people keep the right posture whilst feeling supported then like myself I wouldn’t be so restricted as to what I can and cannot use. As I have a bad back, my friend has loose cartilage behind the kneecap and shoulder impingement along with loss of balance so she feels she cannot work the muscles she wants to effectively.

Too many posers
There are lots of young boys (18-20 year olds) in the changing room posing in the mirrors and taking photos of themselves when people are naked and trying to get dressed in the background.
This is not okay, and needs to be policed accordingly.
