JD Gyms - ChesterfieldAvis 

Very outdated equipment, you need to travel to Sheffield if you want the latest equipment, however with soaring petrol costs its not worth it.

Previous post has been quite negative but would like to give credit to new management team in Chesterfield who have listened to our complaints/ comments and have increased and varied classes and renewed a significant amount of equipment. Carry on the good work

Clean and tidy. Friendly and welcoming staff. Plenty to do and lots of class options.

Chloe the cleaner at JD Gym Chesterfield is bloody fantastic. She’s really thorough and keeps the gym absolutely spotless. She’s also friendly and welcoming, which makes a big difference. It’s genuinely a pleasure to come in and work out when the place is this clean and you’re greeted with a smile. Massive credit to her and the gym.

Been training here for years and it’s always been solid. Equipment is well-kept, plenty of rack space, and the staff are genuinely helpful. Never had a bad experience, easily one of the better gyms around and I’m happy to keep coming back.

Incredibly well run by Jon and his team. A warm welcoming clean environment. Enthusiastic fitness instructors. Paul is motivational, encouraging and knowlegeable. Well led classes to suit all abilities including strength/cardio and mind and body. Great Times to suit work/leisure balance. Newly installed cardio equipment. Enough equipment for all. A great environment to work out. Great value for money

Well equipped gym that is amazingly well maintained and kept clean with plenty of resistance machines and some new cardio equipment, as well as friendly and helpful staff which is a huge plus for any members experience.

Great gym, loads of equipment to choose from. Very friendly staff, nice to talk too. The new equipment has made the environment a lot nicer to be around and do my training

The cleanest gym I have ever been to with a great atmosphere.
Wonderful helpful staff, and the manager Jon is incredibly attentive- you can tell he has the place locked down and cares for the members needs.

Especially now they have had an influx of new equipment, the best gym going in Chesterfield.

Great gym - excellent selection of machines and a huge free weights section. It’s recently had a full new cardio suite installed which is incredible. 🫡

💪 Five stars for Jon and the gym!
Since Jon took over, the place has completely transformed. Even when equipment breaks down, he keeps everything running smoothly no drama, just action. The space is noticeably cleaner, the atmosphere is welcoming, and you can feel the positive energy the moment you walk in. Jon’s not just managing he’s leading. Proper leadership, proper vibe. Couldn’t ask for better.

The gym is good, could do with a speed punch bag, but the showers are disgusting, as someone who's worked in the leisure industry having showers that smell of urine, and are covered in body fat (pink around the floors and bottom of the walls of the showers) is not a good luck. Been having to go home to shower after the gym is never a good thing, I just wanna finish the gym and relax in a clean shower

Shocking service - better gyms in the area and gyms which done harbour hidden charges and make it difficult to cancel

Will make it as difficult as possible to leave, even if you haven't used the facilities for 3 over months as well as add administration fees to a payment you don't even owe. Not a good gym and even more difficult to deal with.

I’ve been a member of this gym since December 2024 and tbh this gym is a clean, well presented gym.. everything has its own place and everyone respects putting things back!! Compared to other jd gyms I’ve visited recently this is by far the best one.. did I mention that the team down at this gym are super nice and super helpful. Any question you have they are happy to answer and give more than an answer.. even the members in this space are happy to answer questions, as a member that’s new too this I feel super confident in this space the atmosphere is always pleasant!

Great gym with decent equipment, very helpful staff and a special mention to Charlie who helped me with an exercise.

Would certainly recommend this gym.
