as we arrived at the airport i was told that there was no car hire for us, stressed as just wanted to get to the villa, so just got an uber.
apparently when i called up i was told i had clicked on no transfers which i didn't realize that meant no car hire required i had already added the main driver above in. (having always had package holidays, transfers to me is bus or taxi?)
VERY MISLEADING! needs to be re worded.
so ended up then wasting money on taxis and hiring my own car, back to the airport.
can highly recommend Record go car hire.

The mattresses need replacing or add toppers, rock hard and pillows were lumpy.

Jet2Villas - Sinjura, Gozo
The villa itself was excellent - five stars if considered in isolation - but there were issues with the location and the whole Jet2Villas experience.
Starting with the latter, the concept of getting flights, accommodation and car hire from a single source is appealing but the reality was different. Accommodation and car hire are outsourced to third parties with their own terms and conditions that are not presented at the time of booking. There seemed to be a dis-join between Jet2 and its suppliers.
Shortly after booking, we were notified by Jet2 that, in addition to the ferry fare that we were aware of, an additional charge may be payable to take the car to our accommodation on Gozo. It could not explain this nor state precisely what the charge would be. After a long debate about consumer rights and transparent pricing, it was agreed that there would be no charge provided we used the Gozo Channel Ferry. As there is no other way of taking a car to Gozo, it became clear that Jet2 was unfamiliar with the holiday it had sold.
On a separate issue concerning a mis-match between Jet2's website and the car hire voucher, we were directed to ring the car hire provider in Malta and sort it out ourselves, despite our contract being with Jet2, whose terms and conditions we had accepted and relied on. In total, we spend around 90 minutes over several phone calls to Jet2 resolving various ambiguities and inconsistencies.
We were not provided with contact details for the villa provider, Fanal Holiday Homes. Jet2 expects its clients to raise all issues via its UK call centre. It was fortunate that we found a contact number in the villa as, several days into the holiday, we experienced a serious and urgent problem that required local knowledge to understand and we could not wait whilst Jet2's interpretation of the problem was passed to the villa provider. We did subsequently notify Jet2 of the problem, actions taken and latest position; and updated it later in the week.
At this point, it is necessary to describe the location. The villa is remote, at the end of a narrow, long, rough and unlit track, which itself is accessed from a minor road that is a little wider but otherwise no better. The villa cannot be seen from the latter, there is no signage at the junction and the directions provided do not mention the need to turn onto the track. The promised 'off-road parking' is on an adjacent plot of land. There is no other satisfactory parking option within a reasonable walking distance, even without heavy luggage. It is also necessary to use this plot of land to turn the car around when the adjacent villa's parking space is occupied (as was almost always the case) or otherwise undertake a long and very difficult reversing manoeuvre.
It transpired that the plot of land is owned by a third party, with whom Fanal has no agreement. The landowner attempted to evict us but we were already blocked-in by vehicles from a film company that was using the adjacent villa as a film prop. Fanal responded in person and resolved the immediate problem but we had to dismantle an improvised barricade to remove our car the following morning.
The barricade was back in place when we returned later in the day and remained in place for the remainder of our holiday. The problem was compounded by the film company's vehicles blocking us in. Once again, Fanal responded quickly but, on this occasion, failed to achieve a satisfactory resolution and distanced itself from any promised parking arrangements.
It was left to us to negotiate with the film company to park in front of its villa. This proved problematic because scheduled external filming restricted our ability to come and go as we wished (there were times when the car could not be there - some very early in the morning - and times when we could only move it by prior arrangement). Whilst neither Jet2 or Fanal had any control over these alternative arrangements, the need to use them was a direct consequence of their collective misrepresentation in the villa listing. As an aside, Fanal had advance notice of the planned filming and potential disruption but failed to communicate it.
We effectively lost two days of a ten day holiday, playing musical chairs with our car, negotiating with various parties and abandoning our planned itinerary for both days. Three further days were spoiled by on-going stress and anxiety. We will be seeking compensation for loss of enjoyment due to Jet2's failure to deliver what it promised - a villa with off-road parking. We would not have booked this holiday had there been any uncertainty about parking arrangements (it was a material factor in our choice of holiday).
By way of a closing thought, we wonder whether the landowner was the same individual that woke us with shotgun fire at 5.30 every morning?
Exceeded our expectations
We had an incredible holiday with Jet2 Villa Holidays in Sept 25, staying at Villa Angelina in Puerto Del Carmen, and honestly, I couldn’t recommend it more.
There were 8 of us in total, and from start to finish everything was absolutely seamless. The flight was on time, luggage arrived without any issues, and the whole experience felt really well organised and stress-free.
It was our first time in Lanzarote, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better introduction.
The villa itself completely exceeded expectations — the photos simply didn’t do it justice. It was even more spacious, well-kept, and beautiful in person, with plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy.
I almost feel like I shouldn’t say how amazing it was… because the more people that find out, the harder (and more expensive!) it might be for us to book again - and we did book again - heading out next week. Because credit where it’s due — it really was that good.
Everything came together perfectly: great flight, fantastic villa, brilliant company, and amazing weather. It was one of those holidays where everything just works.
And as I said, we enjoyed it so much… we booked again.
Would 1000% recommend Jet2 Villa Holidays based on our experience.
Needs a little improvement
The villa is in the very remote location of Pomos - You definitely require a car, and unless you have been before, you will also need to have excellent SatNav to locate the property.
Very good villa for two people.
This is why I have only given the property 3 stars:-
1) The bed is adequate but the pillows and linen are of very poor quality. This requires a major upgrade.
2) The towels are also very basic - Massive upgrade required.
3) I had no hot water for the first day, as there were no instructions whatsoever to operate the boiler system. The owners were fantastic and showed me how to operate the next day, and provided a complimentary bottle of red wine (thanks).
On a positive note, the owners spoil their guests with virtually everything you could need for the first night and beyond (until you can get to a shop). Fantastic customer service from the owners.
Villa Elena Coral Bay - ⭐ 1 star – Distressing, unsafe, and still being sold as a 4* Villa
We booked Villa Elena, Coral Bay via Jet2 Villas, expecting a relaxing family holiday. What we ended up with was one of the worst holiday experiences we’ve ever had in 20+ years.
The villa was filthy, unsafe, and nothing like the listing photos. Outside was covered in dirt, cobwebs, broken and mouldy sunbeds, rotting decking patched up with cement, overgrown weeds, fly-tipping nearby, and a pool with a bubbled, peeling liner. Inside was no better, grimy, limescale-covered bathrooms, missing lightbulbs, wardrobe doors falling off, and loose door hinges (one ripped my clothing). There were missing or broken smoke alarms, and the staircase felt dangerous, with mesh literally held together by cable ties.
To make matters worse, there was an ant infestation in two bedrooms, including inside drawers and bedding. When we reported it, we were simply handed a tub of powder 30hours later and left to deal with it ourselves. We also arrived with no basic essentials at all, not even toilet paper or soap, am emergency dash to shop after travelling for 12 hours was not what I wanted.
We raised these issues immediately. Solmar Villa Maintenance turned up two days later, laughed, and told us they are “We are every week” and the owner “won’t do anything”. Jet2 said the villa would be cleaned again and despite chasing for 2 days, no one ever came.
We were forced to call around and move villas to a firm we have used previously and pay €700 for alternative accommodation just to have a clean and safe place to stay for the children.
What makes this even worse is Jet2’s handling of the complaint. It has taken nine weeks to receive a response when it should be 4 weeks according to Abta policies and they have offered £300 compensation, which doesn’t even come close to covering our costs. Despite everything raised and the photographic evidence provided, Jet2 is still actively selling this villa for 2026, which is deeply concerning for other visitors.
This was our sixth villa holiday, and both of our bad experiences have been with Solmar Villa property rented by Jet2. Jet2 should not be marketing a property in this condition, and families deserve far better.
We will very carefully and with due diligence check villas before booking with Jet2 in future. This review is a 1 star because it didn't allow any stars.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Booked for a villa hol in September of this year, 3K holiday for week, pictures in brochure looked amazing. However what we got was a filthy villa, murky pool, smelly drains and unusable shower due to the stench. Damp wardrobes that couldn’t be used. Jet2 did not care, refused to move us, refused to help us, and refused to listen. Appalling. DO NOT USE
They are happy to take your money, but not happy to help.

Used Jet2 villas in September 2025. The villa was filthy and dangerous with sewage gas entering the property, sewage was leaking into the pool. Jet2 couldn’t care less and refused to move us. We had to leave the island after a few days as we were worried for our health. Shame on you Jet2. Avoid Jet2 Villas, customer service zero.
Jet2 lie about included car hire
Arrived in lanzarote with a villa and car package and got taken from the airport to a car hire company called Record Go who had none of out details. After 30 minutes of giving them our information they tried to hit us with a €1200 deposit which we were not prepared to do.
We paid for extra insurance though jet2villas so we would not have to worry about the car. We will never use jet2 again

Villa Evanthia, Latchi, Cyprus
An appalling experience at the Evanthia in Latchi, Cyprus via Jet2 Villas. Began with car hire station being 5km from the Paphos air terminal. No facilities for disabled passengers travelling on the transit bus, requiring my friend to be manhandled on and off the vehicle. Incorrect GPS coordinates given, so got totally lost on the journey to the villa, resulting in arrival at our destination after midnight. The condition of the villa was extremely substandard and in dire need of a full refurbishment. Paint peeling off the walls, dated and uncomfortable furniture for starters. Upon a fuller inspection the next day, we discovered so many issues. The poolside parasol was broken, and dumped at the side of the pool. The pool itself was dirty. The access ladder into the pool was rusted and broken. The curtains in the living rooms were stained and filthy. We had just 2 (mismatched) wine glasses. This in a 3 bedroom property. The cutlery was ancient and tarnished. The plates were from the ark. On day 2, the kitchen lights failed and we were forced to cook in the evening using bedroom table lamps until this was finally rectified a couple of days later. A baby’s cot and playpen had been left in the lounge and despite asking for it to be taken away, it remained in the property. Externally, rendering was peeling off the walls. Some scaffolding staging had been left in the garden. The meter cupboard had no door. On dropping the hire car off, we again had the same issue regarding no proper disabled access on to the transfer bus. When challenged, the driver became extremely angry and abusive. Not the sort of customer service one would expect. Overall, the whole experience was extremely disappointing given what we paid. Upon return to the UK, the response from Jet2 has been truly appalling and disappointing. 6 weeks chasing answers and still nothing.
Abandoned by Jet2 in Majorca
Holiday nightmare material when we turned up at the villa and it was already occupied.!!
Ring Jet2 24hr helpline, and although very polite they were hopeless in trying to help us.
I was put on hold 4 times over the space of 3 hours , while Jet2 "investigated" ....
You might imagine that their first priority would be getting us some urgent accommodation for that night ..but we heard nothing from them for hours, into mid evening.
We found ourselves a hotel and it cost me over £300 quid for one night and drove to find it.
8pm local time and Jet2 eventually rang me back - with a stunning plan - to put us in a hotel overnight while they tried to find another villa.
One was sourced the following day by being in direct contact with a boss at Solmar Villas - but disappointingly Jet2 were pretty hopeless .
If you read this Jet2, your number one priority should've been to find us overnight accommodation without delay.
You need to establish and reinforce this with your in-resort support teams . The welfare of your customers needs to come above all else and you really need to get that right.
We'd been travelling since 0300 and we reported the problem at 1600 ...and you left us with no support or alternative accommodation until 20. 00 .
Telling us "it was being investigated" is no help at all when you're sat in a rental car, its getting dark and you have nowhere to stay that night.
Please take some learning from this .
BTW its 8 working days and you still haven't refunded my hotel.
Great ground & flight crew!
Overall, we are very happy with the service received by Jet 2 Villas. The booking process was easy, we had a vast selection of villas to choose from and the offer of ‘free’ hire car rather than transfer appealed greatly to us. We were met with enthusiasm and a lot of assistance at Bristol Airport, clear instructions and swift book in, we found this very helpful. The flight was good, on time with friendly crew. We had lots of legroom and plenty of choice from menu, duty free etc. upon arrival we saw lots of jet2 staff looking for those with transfers booked but we had to follow instructions to hire car pick up. The holid took a slight downturn here as we were waiting for at least 30 minutes and it wasn’t obvious if we were in the right area. We arrived at Goldcar hire and the holiday literally nose dived right there and then. We along with at least 3 other couples were told that whilst we had paid for the additional top ‘fully comprehensive’ cover during booking this wasn’t recognised as it was not part of Goldcar! We could hear the frustration and concern throughout the reception, same words being received by all and absolutely nothing you could do other than agree to take out Goldcar’s policy or pay the full cost for claims and then claim back via jet2 when back in UK! We told them absolutely not whilst at least two couples (older couple) were too afraid to risk it. Once we had were assigned our car we had to walk two blocks in the heat with all our luggage to begin the arduous task of inspecting the vehicle. Do NOT take this step lightly!! We walked slowly around the exterior and took a video of the whole car. We then photographed every scratch, dent and rust spot. Several scratches and dents were not on their checklist but even after they insisted that the damage was not “deep” or “long” enough to warrant noting we insisted they did and took even more photos. We were told that the scuffs & scrapes on wheel rims didn’t count, they do, photograph everything!!! When we returned they car they told us that we woukd have to pay for the scrapes on wheel trims as “ much worse than when we received the car”, thankfully we showed the photos, the guy still sucking in his breath shaking his head so I told him I had video and then he backed down. Please ensure you capture everything!!! The villas was pretty much as we expected but much more tired than we had hoped. Great location, magnificent views & lovely pool! The villa really needs updating as and a really thorough cleaning. The kitchen bathroom surfaces etc were very clean but the sofas, walls exterior of pool need a good scrub, there were chocolate handprints on doorframes and green mould on the pool decking surround. The decking (not real wood) was so warped that it should be removed as not only a trip hazard, there were exposed screws & some areas felt as if your foot would go right through. The double bedroom was poorly furnished, a small double bed, unstoppable open sliding door that was so water stained you could barely see out of it, leaking air con but ensuite was nice with great shower! The oven was very old and shelves could not be moved as rusted out. The fridge was fine as long as you don’t store anything in door, we put water bottles in door on arrival only to have them fall out on opening the door breaking off a plastic shelf in door! No welcome pack, water so ensure you shop. Flight home was pretty much a repeat, good service from ground & flight crew and comfortable flight. Overall, we are pleased with Jet2, they need to update wording in car hire procedures to ensure others aren’t met with same issue, just be more transparent and not brush off as in country issues outside of your control!

2 cars booked for us by Jet2 at OK Mobility in Mahon. Paperwork said we had to pay a €1200 Deposit. After getting the hard sell on their insurance they tried to charge me €1950 per car. This was beyond the credit limit of my travel credit card. Multiple calls made to Jet2 being pushed from one dept to the other. We ended up with the cars cancelled and getting taxis after wasting 3 hours. Still waiting for a response from Jet2. Oh and to compound it the cleaners ran over by an hour. They don't deserve 1 star

Great experience - Any villa is clearly advertised so completely up to you to see it fully and make an informed decision.
Total price of flights, baggage, car and villa definitely makes it one of the best, cheapest and easiest villa options to book!
Ill keep coming back and highly recommend it.

I haven't even travelled yet and am beginning to regret booking with Jet2
We have 12 hours between check out and our flight and despite Jet2 claiming they are supportive of people with disabilities we have been refused a lated check out - they claim it takes 6 hours to clean a villa
I've even offered to pay

JET2 Villas and Villa March Martorell, Majorca, really not worth it!
Flight and Airport issues:
We took an evening flight to Majorca with JET2 because the midday flight was over £300 extra. The flights were ok, but seats not comfortable, particularly as arm rests for the aisle seats can not be raised.
On arrival, we were made to queue for over an hour with small children to go through immigration at Majorca airport. Some of our party without children went through the facial recognition barriers but found they were difficult to use because the cameras were positioned too high and the queues were long as everyone was having the same problem and was left to struggle with it.
Car Hire issues:
The local staff were doing their best to communicate in English, which we are grateful for but just be prepared for some confusion and it takes a long time to clarify difficult and important matters. For example, we were not clear how to report damage to the vehicle we were hiring before we drove away, that had not already been reported. There were no staff near the pick up points to help.
Also, JET2 did not explain in advance that as much as 300EUROS was needed to be held in reserve on our credit card for the car hire and that for the full protection insurance we would need to pay for any damage to the car rental company upfront (in this case we used Hertz) and claim the cost back later through the JET2 agent. Also, Hertz could not confirm about their policy on excesses with coverage bought through a third party agent. A very troublesome process. We felt it would have been more straightforward to hire a car directly with Hertz rather than go through JET2.
Villa issues:
Because of issues with immigration and car rental, we didn’t arrive at our villa until 3am into the second day of our holiday.
There was no welcome pack with basic groceries on arrival as other villa companies have provided. We were too exhausted to go shopping early after the terrible travel experience, and my four year old daughter had no milk, it was a really uncomfortable situation.
The villa and pool are a nice construct but inside the villa is absolutely filthy. The appliances are cheap, old and barely work, the dishwasher is practically rusted through, the refrigerator also doesn’t work; fresh food doesn’t keep for more than a day. All appliances need an upgrade. Likewise, the sanitary wear is badly worn and the toilets absolutely stink. We had to clean before we felt comfortable using the place, particularly the kitchen, which doesn’t make a relaxing start to the holiday. There is no air conditioning in the kitchen, which meant having no option but to open windows and there were no nets so mosquitos came flooding in. There is also an infestation of ants which made storing food impossible.
Also, only one of the two air conditioning units in the dining/ sitting room space is working.
Finally, using the whirlpool tripped the electricity supply every time and we had to reset this ourselves which was really annoying. Considering the amount of money we paid it is not acceptable.
Other concerns we have are that inside the villa there are pieces of old farming equipment on display including an old plough with lots of large spikes positioned over the kitchen door. This is very dangerous and should be removed.
Also, there is CCTV we think surveilling outside the villa. For UK customers to feel comfortable there should be a notice at the villa that states CCTV is in operation and in the customer notes there should be an explanation of what this CCTV is surveilling and by who. We felt it was a massive intrusion of privacy.
Overall, this holiday was really not worth the £5,000 plus we were charged for a week, even during August peak time and we are all very disappointed. The flights offered at no additional cost are not at comfortable times for young families to travel and the quality of the accommodation is not assured.
Before this I couldn’t find any detailed, honest review, particularly on the standard of the villa, which makes me think now it can be so bad it is better to forget about it. But it is important to post this review, so people think twice before paying so much money.
Advise/ areas for improvement:
Flight and Majorca airport:
JET2 shouldn’t make the midday flight such an expensive extra. We would have had a much more comfortable journey going to Marjorca if we could have taken around the same time flight in the afternoon as we did coming back to the UK at no extra cost. This return flight was half empty we suspect because it was expensive to take, it just doesn’t make good business sense.
We suggest more signage, at least just with pictures, at Majorca airport to guide you through security procedures. Particularly, at the facial recognition barriers, to show you need to remove your glasses and headwear, would have been useful.

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the jet2 girls at Menorca airport who made sure myself/Daughter an Grandson got on our flight back to stanstead as we were late getting to the airport thankfully the gates didn't close on time however we were feeling very stressed but the jet2 staff girls had us on the flight intimate for home so if you were one of them girls on the 17th August 5pm flight a very big thank you 😊 🙏
Casa Amor, Algarve, Portugal
Had an amazing stay at Casa Amor, lovely big villa with plenty of space, really decent sized pool that is kept clean by the staff and a tennis court. Villa has everything you need to enjoy a week in the sun. We met a member of staff later in the week, he was lovely and very helpful. Very happy, will definitely be back.
Villa Amelia- Calpe Extortionate price…
Villa Amelia- Calpe Extortionate price for a very average villa. We had a major issue as we were burgled, the burglars had a key. Please be very vigilant and check that the locks have been changed, it was devastating to be burgled the day before we left. I am wating to hear back from Jet 2 having raised these concerns.
Do not book a villa through Jet2
Do not book a villa through Jet2. They charge on a "per person" basis and not for the property. I learned this the hard way. If I'd booked Villa Siesta on Zakynthos directly with Villa Select then I'd have saved about £3k. I've booked a villa directly with Villa Select for next year and saved £4k on the same villa with Jet2. Absolute shysters.
Incidentally, don't book Villa Siesta with anyone. The photos are very misleading and it is to be avoided.
