Had an amazing experience and learned so much from the courses! They teach you from the very beginning of scouting into the business side of being an agent. Really opened my eyes to realize the quality of players that I want to represent. If you are able to do all the practice tests and use all the study materials, you will pass the test with flying colours!

Changing a career, looking for the dream job, or even just looking for new challenge is never easy, but this is exactly what I wanted to do, I fell into all those brackets, I wanted a career change, I wanted a challenge but most of all I wanted my dream job, so I joined the JV Academy a few months back. The key word here is 'wanted' I wanted to be part of this world, and therefore sought out every opportunity, to maximise what JVA had to offer me.

Within 2 days of signing up for the academy, I received a call from a gentleman called Andy, who took me through the JVA, what I would need to do, where this would take me, and what would follow. Following a very good phone call, I was setup on another call with John Viola, who again took me through what Andy had, but just a deeper dive. Across both phone calls what really made a difference, was the way everything was communicated, you could tell this was something that they are passionate about and genuinely wanted to share the considerable knowledge built up over decades within the footballing world.

One important thing to note, which I believe is fundamental to success on this course, is that this needs to be something for someone who truly wants it and who wants to be proactive, who really does want to learn and will use all the resources at their disposal, (staying silent when unsure won’t get you anywhere, but with the resources available there is no reason to be unsure nor stay silent). The resources are simple and easy to use, the JVA is broken down into modules about everything you need to know about an agent and how to become one, which you complete in your own time, then you have the FIFA agents exam materials, with past test papers, these test papers are supported by zoom calls, with an array of senior JVA team members, who guide you, help you, answer questions around the FIFA exam ensuring you have the best opportunity of passing first time, the rest really is down to you.

The thought of joining the JVA for a bit of info and expecting it to all fall into your lap, and miraculously become an agent overnight is simply unrealistic, but as I said using the resources well certainly offers anyone the chance of having the career they desire, for example, a few weeks after enrolling, I was added to another course (which is included within the JVA package) this was the Independent Professional scouting organisation, another reason I found the JVA a cut above the rest.

Realistically, it would be straightforward enough to simply teach how to become an agent, but the IPSO course helps you understand the footballer in significant depth, so for example, it teaches you the positioning of players on the pitch, the team fit, skill sets, biases over players, etc, all fundamental pieces of knowledge which are invaluable when dealing with a footballer, as you understand there is so much more to just being an agent.

These courses do not just teach, they interact with you, you can challenge should you not agree, but most importantly you meet and greet people, and this where its critical to build contacts, as these are people similar to yourself, however another advantage, is not everyone on the call is from JVA, some have chosen to attend the IPSO course for their own personal development, but because of your involvement with the course through the JVA you meet these people, but it is down to you to converse and establish contacts. To put this into perspective, prior to joining the JVA, I had no real significant contacts within the world of football, but now not only have I meet some truly wonderful people who I look forward to working with in the future, but people who can help me significantly in becoming an agent, especially when you consider being introduced, to the first team goalkeeping coach of a championship side, a head academy scout within a top four premier league team, a connection to the sporting director for a European top flight club who are notorious for generating top young talent, a scouting analyst working out of one of the top Portuguese sides, so you can start to see, being proactive is fundamental to achieving what you want, me having made these contacts enable me to plot how exactly how I will identify talent, how I will validate said talent and achieve a good positive move for said talent for them to achieve their full potential.

So from me thank you JVA it really has been a life changing experience.

The Course helped me a lot in terms of starting and navigating the football industry as a football agent. For me with no experience as a football agent by taking the course I got to learn how to make contacts and build relationships, approach potential clients, and dealing with young players in a professional manner, understand different markets. This for me was very important as I was beginning my career.

The course is extremely helpful as it provides detailed information of how the world of football agency is like. You get to the industry with extensive knowledge of how things are done and most importantly in a professional manner.

I'm happy to report that I passed the most recent FIFA agent exam. John and the staff at the Academy were available to answer questions and encouraging throughout the entire process. I do recommend this Academy for your preparation for the agents exam. To be completely honest in my assessment, there were some deficiencies in the study prep materials that either sided the wrong article in code, or were outdated and incorrect. The Academy staff, or available to answer all questions that I had and were very supportive during the process. I would use their services again, and I'm glad I chose John viola Academy for my agent education as I am now, a fully licensed FIFA agent due in large part two the Academy.

I cant thank the JVA enough, I was looking for a career change and always wanted to work in the football industry.

I had only given myself a couple months to learn the material for the exam and quickly realised i was going to need help. A heartfelt thank you to JV and the entire team for their invaluable assistance in helping me navigate the FIFA agent exam. Our journey began around the time of last year's Agent exam, when I was preparing to sit for it in Cape Town, South Africa. I decided to enroll in JVA's educational courses, hoping to maximize my chances of success within a tight study schedule.

Despite my best efforts, I initially fell short of passing the exam by just one mark. However, recent communication from CAF/SAFA revealed that I had been unfairly marked down on a particular question.
