I am currently involved in litigation with ECD regarding a Project Kahn / Chelsea Truck Company build that has been one of the worst automotive experiences I have ever encountered.
The vehicle was marketed, represented, and sold as a collaboration backed by ECD, Project Kahn, and Chelsea Truck Company. The truck is covered with CTC branding and emblems, yet when serious problems arose, responsibility was quickly denied and redirected.
The quality of the workmanship and parts has been shockingly poor. I have owned and commissioned numerous custom and high-end vehicle builds over the years, and I have never experienced anything remotely close to this situation. The truck has suffered repeated failures, to the point that I no longer consider it safe to drive. One exterior component detached while driving, flipped onto the windshield, and shattered it. At this point, I have legitimate concerns that additional components could separate from the vehicle and potentially cause injury to someone or create a serious accident.
The vehicle has now sat undrivable for months while the parties involved continue to avoid meaningful resolution. Rather than standing behind the product they sold, ECD offered to repurchase the truck through installment payments spread over more than a year. That proposal raised significant concerns regarding the company's financial condition and ability to address its obligations.
Equally disappointing has been the response from Project Kahn. Instead of demonstrating the level of customer support and accountability one would expect from a premium international brand, the communications have been defensive and unproductive. Despite the extensive marketing materials, brochures, and sales presentations highlighting the relationship between these companies, there has been little effort to take ownership of the situation or provide a practical resolution.
To make matters worse, ECD retained legal counsel, yet meaningful progress has stalled. Communications between counsel have gone unanswered, and it appears the strategy is simply to delay the process while the vehicle sits unused and continues to depreciate. As a result, this matter may remain unresolved until a court ultimately decides it years from now.
Based on my experience, anyone considering doing business with ECD, Project Kahn, or Chelsea Truck Company should perform extensive due diligence and carefully evaluate the risks before proceeding.

Dear Mr Miller,
We are disappointed that you have chosen to publish a further review against our business regarding a vehicle that was not sold, assembled or fitted by Project Kahn, Kahn Automobiles or the Chelsea Truck Company.
For clarity, your vehicle was purchased directly from ECD. Your sales contract, payment, vehicle build, assembly, installation of components, quality control and delivery were all handled by ECD. We were not the retailer or contracting party and did not receive payment from you for the vehicle.
Project Kahn supplied certain components to ECD as a trade customer. Supplying branded components to an independent vehicle builder does not make us responsible for how those components were subsequently installed, assembled, maintained or represented to the end customer.
The presence of Chelsea Truck Company or Project Kahn branding on a vehicle does not alter who sold and constructed it. Any concerns regarding the workmanship, installation or overall build of the vehicle must therefore be addressed with the company responsible for that work.
You have also confirmed publicly that you are currently engaged in litigation with ECD. As this is now a legal matter between you and the company from which you purchased the vehicle, it would be inappropriate for us to comment on the allegations, the condition of the vehicle or discussions taking place between the parties.
We appreciate that you are frustrated by the situation. However, repeatedly publishing reviews against businesses that did not sell or build the vehicle does not accurately reflect the underlying transaction or responsibility for the matters being disputed.
We respectfully ask that any further concerns are directed through your legal representatives to ECD, the company with which you contracted and against which your litigation is proceeding.
