Kids Discover Avis 

This has been helpful to me regarding creating social studies lesson for my grandchildren, who are homeschooled. The only thing I do not like are the mini quizzes following the lessons. I use AI to help me create those and build them on the platform so I do not have to create a separate form for them to complete the quizzes. I will have an update once I complete their units and start to fully leverage the platform in August.

This app helps my kid complete projects when she forgets her book.

The presidential profiles page was extremely biased and very liberal leaning, especially as it profiled the most recent presidents. Not factual at all. Nor was it up to date. I will not be renewing our subscription.

My students were able to follow along easily at the differentiated levels.
My students enjoyed the primary source documents and the graphic inserts.

Ty for making this affordable and adding the edu. curriculum. I'm broke and have a child I need to home school who's afraid of heights and cant attend school. Broke my heart when the school wouldn't work with her. You see we live in the city of Newark NJ. the SW informed me there no ranch style schools in this city to accommodate a child with acrophobia. So sad. I hope this pairs well with Professor Noggins trivia Card Games. This offers me a rabbit hole experience hoping, my daughter has fun with the subject bubbles via touch screen Chromebook and offers her a structured education in the sciences. Ty for being affordable I can't afford more books & another subscription.

I teach middle school so only being able to have one class makes it very difficult.

User friendly. I am looking forward to the great articles offered by Kids Discover online and print.

I was able to sync my class. My students aren't loving it, but we're enjoying the content.

It’s been really helpful so far as an extra resource for science and history! I like that there are some topics on here that are hard to find elsewhere except on TPT, which can be costly. Kids Discover has allowed me to have a nicely planned out curriculum without breaking my budget.

I think it is great. I would love to use it with my students in High School Special Education, but it is just a little bit too expensive for me to pay for myself. I wish Waller High School would assist in helping. Please keep adding material!

- Various lexile provided for a specific article (only available in some of the articles)

- It is true that there are various articles, but not as much once you try to search for specific topics
- Only some articles have quizzes
- Classification of levels is not precise

I wish some more activities and lessons went with the information. It seemed like the paper copies always came with activities. I've tried to locate more than the very basic vocabulary/fill-in-the-blank options

The website is not user friendly. I can never find the resources from the teacher manual.

So many subjects to choose from. I let my student choose and he loves that. I can't say enough about Kids Discover.

The content is great!
I like the audio book availability.
I wish the power vocabulary was on a lower level. Many of my third graders are not strong readers, so it would be nice for another set of vocab words and puzzles they could work through almost independently.
I have many articles in my classroom. Is there a way for students to bring up a specific article without scrolling all the way through? Or can they use a word like "pandas" to bring up articles with information about pandas?

It is quick, easy access to great information!

I absolutely love Kids Discover. I have been a subscriber since the beginning or near the beginning. I love the quick quizzes that allow students to go back and check for the correct responses. This follows the format of the Ohio State Test. The non-fiction text is a great supplement to lessons as well as great center work that can be connected with events around the world. I have used Kids Discover for 3 years with my grade 8 U.S. History class. What I like most about it is, I can differentiate the passages as well as the tests for my students. The printable vocabulary worksheets are also a valuable addition to the units. This program has also been a fantastic supplement to my grade 7 Geography class. Customer service has always been friendly, helpful and quick. This program is Awesome!!
