I ordered the Capybara switches and I absolutely love them! Customer service is awesome.
Kinetic labs has great products and are very responsive. I was missing a part of my recent order and they resolved it very quickly. Highly recommend shopping from them!
The experience was great, with Kinetic Labs. There was a big confusion with the stock of a particular item on the website (that ended up being discontinued, despite purchasing it). Nevertheless, the support staff was swift to remedy the error, gave me free shipping on a follow-up order, and a little free goodie as an apology.
The keyboards I purchased themselves are fantastically built. Great company with a good team behind it, Carl in particularly was great. :-)
Thanks again guys.
This is a very long story, and I'm really sorry, but I'm here to honor the legend that is Carl. For perspective, if the benchmark for customer service was measured in miles, Carl's performance is measured in astronomical units.
I started tinkering with keyboards last year when I finally bit the bullet and bought a Wooting 80HE. Later that year I stumbled across Kinetic Labs looking for the Weikav Nut65. I purchased it and some switches to try. At the time they were fairly well stocked on pretty much everything but keyboards. The board shipped later that same day and arrived a few days later, well packaged and without issues. I really enjoyed this board.
I ordered another Weikav keyboard a few months later, the Lucky65 v3, after seeing how much value the Nut65 seemed to offer. Once again, it shipped and arrived at a notably faster pace than other distributors in the keyboard industry. After less than a month, I noticed an LED issue. The LED under the "W" key was solid red after turning all LEDs off. I sent them an email and mentioned my issue in their support channel on the Kinetic Labs discord server. One of the server admins, Christian (who I later discovered was the founder of the company) quickly replied, saying it sounded like a PCB issue and if so they could get a replacement to me. He asked me to send a couple pictures of the issue to their support email, which I did. The next day I heard back from Carl, who also agreed it was likely PCB related and would send me a replacement keyboard free of charge. It shipped the same day he sent that email! MOST places these days would've taken a week to get a resolution, and would've probably only sent a replacement PCB, AND probably wouldn't do any of that until you sent the defective part back to them.
So, I received the replacement board and plugged it in to go do all the VIA key mappings. Immediately ran into a problem. The board uses a tri-mode pcb. Meaning it can connect to an interface in three different ways--BT, 2.4ghz, or Wired. Somehow the wired mode wasn't working. It was charging, but when I set the connection type to wired it would blink and then shut off. Connecting using the wireless adapter did work however. I quickly wrote back to Carl and reported the new problem. He was very apologetic, and like me, was also puzzled by the issue. He asked that I send him a quick video showing what was happening. After doing so, we briefly corresponded over the next couple days. Looking on their site, the Lucky65 was out of stock at this point. So I wasn't really sure what they would be able to do about it. Carl provided a few things to troubleshoot in order to rule out possible culprits. I went through each and reported back. Then another problem emerged. Wireless mode wasn't working...wirelessly. Previously wireless mode was fine. Now, oddly enough, I couldn't get power to the board in wireless mode unless I plugged it in. I had officially given up on this board and on Weikav in general.
Sidenote: around the end of January, I'd also ordered a non-flex cut pcb and carbon fiber plate for the Nut65 directly from Weikav and after 2 months of waiting without any update or a single response to my many emails or messages to their Facebook page, I got PayPal involved and my money back. Anyway, back to the story.
At this point I honestly didn't want another Lucky65 replacement as I'd soured on Weikav's QC and lack of any support whatsoever. The only boards in stock on the Kinetic Labs site were the GMK boards, which were at an even lower price point due to their use of a plastic frame instead of aluminum. The TG67 was their premium board, coming in at a whopping $280--over 3.5x the price of the Lucky65--but it had been out of stock since I first started shopping there. I informed Carl of the additional problem with wireless mode, and how I didn't want another Weikav board (they were already down two boards at this point), and so I made a long-shot suggestion. I asked if they had any barebones TG67s laying around that I could buy at a discounted price. Remember this board is well over 3 times the price of my board, and had been out of stock for who knows how long. Even if they pulled one out of thin air I though I'd surely have to pay another $200 to cover the difference. Carl responded, and to my surprise, he said he would check with the team to see if they had one available, if not they'd accept the return of the keyboard and process a refund.
*Jaw drops*
I got another email the following night confirming they had a single black TG67 remaining they could offer me as a replacement, and only asked that I covered the $10 shipping charge! I was ELATED. This company truly cares about its customers and their experience and has earned a life-long supporter to their store. Absolutely incredible. I'm out of characters to use now, g2g, LOVE YOU KINETIC LABS TEAM!
Not only is there support top notch (helping me with technical issues on a board) but they do so with a personal touch. I've ordered quite a bit of keyboard stuff from Kinetic Labs (switches, keycaps, keyboards) and every order has been superb. Shipping is fast, products are quality, and the team is great.
I had an issue with my order at Kinetic Labs where I initially received the wrong keycaps, which was a little frustrating. Their customer support team followed up and made sure I was able to get the correct set I originally paid for.
Mistakes can happen with any company, but what matters is how they handle it, and they made it right. I appreciate the resolution and the effort to fix the situation. Overall, a positive experience in the end and I will definitely order from them again.
Very kind and responsive customer service. I purchased a keycap set about two years ago and recently lost one of the keys. I emailed their support team, and they got back to me within a couple of hours. They were able to replace just the single keycap, saving me from having to buy an entirely new set. Highly recommend!!
I presented an issue with a product I purchased, and one of the support team members, Carl, responded and aided me in a professional and timely manner. The issue was addressed accordingly.
Needed to cancel an order and add more items. Customer service was able to resolve my issue the same day, after business hours. Didn’t even have to cancel my order, just added the extra items and helped me avoid 2 separate shipping charges. Definitely will be ordering more from them in the future!
Looks like many people also had a similar problem with either faulty switches or a faulty board. First my -/+ keys were not functioning properly, you had to use an unreasonable amount of force to get it to work. I didn't care because I hardly use those keys, but then the "T" key started to have the same issue. Looks and sounds amazing, but can be frustrating. I don't recommend this product, unless you want to roll the dice.
I ordered some switches, and although they were a bit pricier than other sellers, the quality is excellent, and the artwork for the bags are so cute! Three of my switches were defective, and I contacted customer service and they replaced them IMMEDIATELY. it was a great shopping experience, and I will definitely shop here again.
I've only made a couple of purchases from Kinetic Labs, and have had absolutely no issues with their products. I love every experience, all items are packaged well and you can tell KineticLabs cares about their products.
In this instance, I had purchased the Moon V2 Linear Switches about a year ago. I love these switches, they have such a great typing feel and experience. Don't let me forget about the sound profile, stunning! For the past few months I've been running into the issue where I've had switches dying out on me. It had gotten to the point where I've ran out of spare switches to continue enjoying my keyboard.
This is the first time I've contacted KineticLabs support. This was mainly a shot in the dark because I know I've had these switches for a little over a year and am unsure of the potential support they could provide aside from troubleshooting options.
KineticLabs, Carl, had gotten back to me the next day. He did not hesitate to assist me, he was thrilled by my appreciation of the product even though I've been experiencing issues. He had provided me a pack of the Moon V2 switches for free. I had provided my initial order number and by the time I read his email, there was already a follow up email with the order being put through.
Carl is the definition of "straight to the point" "I'm picking up what you're putting down." By the verbiage he uses when responding, you can easily tell that he genuinely cares and puts effort into ensuring even problems like this where I could have spent the money to order an extra bag of switches was addressed.
Carl has locked in my Support for KineticLabs when buying Switches and other Accessories. Carl, you're the man!
Ordered a set of the sticky rice v2, when they arrived it appears I was sent the v1's. Emailed support and they were very apologetic and sent out the correct switches promptly at no extra cost.
Presently typing this review on the products purchased from Kinetic Labs. After many bad experiences shopping for deals on AE, I went with Kinetic Labs. I just wanted a good shopping experience and that is exactly what I got with Kinetic Labs. I had seen a lot of TikToks and YT Shorts showing off switches and keyboards, so decided to take the plunge and contact customer support with what I wanted and some reassurance that if I had any problems they would stand behind their products. That is exactly what I got. I then placed and order for a keyboard, switches, and keycaps. They were shipped out the same day I ordered them and came promptly across the country from NJ to CA. Everything worked as expected and only had to reset the board to get all the functions working properly. Sure I had to pay a bit more than AE, but the whole experience with Kinetic Labs has been smooth as silk and a genuine pleasure. Thank you, Kinetic Labs. Keep it up!!
I purchased a desk mat (Sunny Day), some Gateron Box Ink Black V2 switches, Krytox 205g0, and plate support tools during their Labor Day sale. Very good prices for the $8.40 desk mat and $9.80/18 Box Inks. Took about 9 days to get here with UPS standard. Arrived around 12 hours before estimate. Everything was packaged well. Inside the cardboard shipping box, the desk mat was inside a plastic drawstring bag. Mat is clean and has bold colors. Everything else was in these cute little Kinetic Labs bags, except for the Krytox (which was in a Kinetic Labs syringe in a clear bag). Got the exact amount of switches I ordered and no bent pins. They also threw in a bonus keyswitch fidget toy and panda sticker. Happy with my purchase, would order from this vendor again.
Sucks to build a keyboard, and then be short a key/Got two forward slash keys and tildes and no backslash. Poor quality control. Also be nice if they included some blanks.

Réponse : Kinetic Labs
Frank, my support agent responded in a very timely manner and was extremely helpful in helping me with my request for a specific keycap on the switch fidget and with asking about my delivery date. My request was satisfied quickly and easily, with a photo to confirm everything and left kinetic labs with an extremely positive reputation in my eyes. Absolutely would recommend/buy again from kinetic labs in the future
