Our project was a challenge - replace a garage door with heritage windows & doors, with the complication that an up and running large model railway was installed in the garage.
The project was completed on time with no damage to the model railway. We are thrilled with the quality of the work from great people to work with.

Really happy with my new door, fitted with integrated blind within the glass. Nice fitters and good service all round.

Amazing team! These guys are fast, efficient and do exactly what they say they will when they say it. Great team of lads who did an excellent job!

The windows were changed and there was some difficulty removing the old wooden ones but the damage was minimal and tidied up quite well. The mess was cleared up on a daily basis. However the wet weather did not help. There have been no problems with the windows and they do look good.

I needed to replace a number of glass panes in a large custom made arched wooden window frame and a custom made wooden conservatory. Whilst a lot of business would only consider replacing glass panes in plastic windows, Kirkby Lonsdale Window Company had the expertise to deal with custom made wooden frames and custom made glass panes. Following a site visit an estimate and a time frame for the work was provided. The eight panes were replaced in a day and the work was carried out to a high standard.I would have no hesitation in recommending Kirkby Lonsdale Window Company.

Kirkby Lonsdale Windows recommended Aluminium windows to replace our timber casement windows. They advised me on different colours, hardware and glazing options. We opted a colour called Agate Grey and for triple Glazing as the cost difference wasn’t much more expensive. The quality of our windows are outstanding and the installation carried out by the guys was exemplary. They left no mess behind at all and were very polite to us at all times. The negative comments about this company are based on the fact that the previous window company (Glazeline Limited) run by the same director went into voluntary liquidation owing thousands of pounds to customers, myself included, in February 2023. The details of our transactions with Glazeline have been supplied to Trustpilot, but deemed irrelevant as they did not relate to their new company: Kirkby Lonsdale Widow Company. As a consequence my wife’s negative review was taken down, as were four other negative reviews from other customers left out of pocket by Glazeline.
While it is possible that Kirkby Lonsdale Widow Company has made a clean break with the business practices pursued at Glazeline, I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with them to bear in mind that the best predictor of the future is the past, and that Trustpilot derives income from the companies on its site, not their customers.
I would also recommend that you keep a screenshot of this review as I expect it will not be visible for a very long.

I am happy to recommend Kirkby Lonsdale Windows as the firm has recently completed a phased programme of installing 41 double glazed windows plus one entrance door at my house. The dimensions and design of most units differed individually even for apparently identical sash windows, this meant that each window was bespoke. Most units were constructed of hardwood except for four windows in a porch and French windows on a weather exposed balcony. The firms’ staff have paid particular care to design and the craftsmanship matched that of the original 150 year old windows. The resulting energy saving benefits of efficiently fitted double glazing will enhance the value of my property without compromising its appearance.

I cannot understand the negative comments these guys have done my whole house over last 12 months and have been brilliant... quality and value for money... the one bad reviewer who keeps adding the same content in other people's name is the guy that needs looked at... I'm a genuine customer... and can recommend these guys wholeheartedly

We had a range of windows, front door and patio doors changed by Jordan and the team. They were great to deal with - listened to what we wanted and made useful suggestions to get us the best solution. Very quick with their communication and returned phone calls promptly. There were one or two snags that needed fixing but these were dealt with very quickly by Jordan and the team - this is what separates good companies like Kirkby Lonsdale Windows to others. Overall a fantastic experience working with them and very pleased with the windows and doors.

This company is simply a reincarnation of Glazeline Ltd (traded as Lakes and Dales Windows). A search of directors on Companies House can verify this if you don’t believe me. The family behind Glazeline took a lot of money from me with no intention of ever supplying windows. Please do not make the same mistake as me, do not trust them.
