At Kirkstall we continue a legacy of brewing left by the Cistercian monks of Kirkstall Abbey and the Kirkstall Brewery Company of 1834-1983. Our own beginnings as Vertical Drinks, importing the likes of Sierra Nevada, Odell and Stone as early as 2003, allowed us to learn from the masters before starting our own brewery in 2011. Whilst we have grown a great deal since then, we remain dedicated to brewing and serving truly great beer in all its beautiful variety, complexity and simplicity. We also are as proud of our pubs as we are of our beers. In both the beers themselves and where we serve them, you can see first-hand our commitment to connecting the traditions of the past and the innovations of the present.

Fantastic customer service
A quick and easy website to browse and order from their selection of beers. I placed my first order with them and the next day there appeared to be an issue with the delivery, which was due to be delivered by DHL. I contacted the Kirkstall webshop via email and received one of the best customer service experiences I've had from any business. Sarah dealt with my query quickly, informed me of everything going on with my order and a day later I had my beers in time for the weekend. An absolute superb job done and the beers were great as well :).
Sadly I'm expecting the same level of customer service from everywhere now and I think I may well be in for disappointment.

Great tasting beer

Great beer, matched by the customer ervice
First off - I really like the beer. Less of the bizarre hipster flavourings and more just great quality beer. Secondly - when my second order went AWOL (lost by the courier company as far as I could figure out) and I contacted the brewery to ask for a refund or resend, there was no quibbling, just an instant resend which turned up safely two days later.

Good value and nice beer and free delivery. The only issue was that the delivery notification was split into two. I'd opted to have it delivered to my local delivery hub but it only applied to one of the two deliveries. So one ended up being delivered to a neighbour and the other to the delivery hub. I'll look out for that next time.
