Terrible payment website for payments

Terrible payment website for payments. Have tried several times to make payment using a Visa debit, card fails and shows but shows as pending on account for 3 days, before being a returned. Tried different card, different browser etc, as advised by Kmart, but still end up with multiple transactions tying up funds for several days - with no order.
Already out of pocket from an earlier order, their courier delivered to a wrong address, no resolution from Kmart or courier.

Rudeness Over a Minor Mistake

I visited Kmart Dunedin today to try on a few items and inadvertently forgot to return them to the counter. Instead of a polite reminder, I was met with unnecessarily snide remarks from a staff member.

When I asked why there isn’t a simple sign in the changing rooms to guide customers, she seemed unable to grasp the question and kept repeating what I “should have done” and even threatened to call the manager to explain things to me.

My oversight was accidental. The rudeness, however, was entirely deliberate. After all, she was just standing there like a pilchard exerting the invisible ‘authority’ she thought she had.

Disgusting to see how far basic customer service has slipped recently.

Bought online via app. Could not find anywhere to change pickup person. Live chat no help, rang store customer service, cut off. Rang 0800 and only product info and cancel order options.. Will never use online here again.

Faulty item and the worst customer service

I paid extra shipping to have a one seated sofa delivered, within the first week I had the sofa the back seam broke and the upholstery can be seen spilling out from the back. I wrote to them to have it picked up in exchange for another chair that wasn’t faulty but they said they couldn’t do it and my options were a 30% refund, to bring it in store for a refund (I don’t drive), or to have a refund processed after collection. 30% refund is laughable since I’d be stuck with the faulty chair, so collection was the only option made available to me realistically. I did however share my concerns about leaving the sofa out in front of my apartment complex for collection but it being mistaken as hard rubbish or something and it not being collected/my refund not being processed but they do not care and do not respond to my questions. My experience with their “customer service” the the most poor experience I’ve had they don’t answer questions at all. Between being stuck with a faulty sofa in my apartment and being down $$, it seems that it’s only me that’s responsible to rectify their faulty item between work shifts. Really disappointing. Sometimes Cheap is expensive! Don’t buy any furniture or electronics from Kmart!

Terrible delivery

Terrible delivery. Ordered candy canes and every single one is crushed into dust. Seems purposeful. Also the box of a product I ordered was very damaged. Won't be ordering from Kmart again.

Don't bother ordering on-line

I ordered online using a $50.00 gift card and had to add $24.00 to make the purchase. This was on the 04.10.2025. They decided to deduct the total amount of $74.00 from my account and when I realised this, I complained to their customer support and was told to order something else online and use the gift card. I said if it didn't work the first time, I wouldn't be online shopping again at Kmart. There is still 1 item I ordered which has not arrived. I have emailed them several times and they reply they are looking into it. They did refund $47.00 however the gift card was for $50.00, not the amount they refunded. The customer service/support said they would transfer me to another department but have heard nothing at all from them. I have been emailing them every 2nd to 3rd day- no response. They need to sort this out and refund my money and give me my missing item.

One of the worst companies in Australia.

Kmart now expect me, who has no licence, to travel nearly 50km away to pick up my items. All because they hire lazy, inept couriers. To add insult to injury there is zero way to contact the couriers as the tracking numbers provided by Kmart Australia don't exist. Kmart are scammers.

Terrible support, unable to provide refund for faulty purchase

I bought a stick mixer from Kmart NZ, which broke down within the warranty period so I requested a refund. They accepted this and said they had processed the refund. I have still not received the money, and it has been more than 4 weeks. I've had several frustrating interactions with their support channels - by phone, online chat and Facebook. They repeatedly claim that the bank transfer has been processed. They give conflicting information. They have committed to sending me proof of the remittance by email, but this also never arrives. It's been a really poor experience - even though it's a small amount of money. I won't be shopping with them again due to the awful support experience and lack of ownership and follow-through on this matter.

Kmart Whangarei New Zealand......

Can't leave a review on Kmart NZ site so I thought I would come here and share my joy! I absolutely love our Kmart here in Whangarei New Zealand. Anko is such a trusted brand in our household. We shop there all the time and are NEVER disappointed. They certainly compete with the likes of temu and shein for sure. The latest item I have bought is a multi USB wall charger and it works great. Had all ports being used and it charged everything that was plugged in. Another great little Anko unit! 12 month warranty, can't go wrong.

Kmart Australia/NZ desperately needs changes but has potential to be a nice store

Kmart Australia/New Zealand is not a bad company (I am updating my review), but needs to institute changes if it wishes to succeed in the Pacific region. First, PLEASE offer express mail delivery for those that can't wait 3-5 days for standard delivery! Second, allow your Managers to allow hold and to allow pickups from your stores if low quantities of an item cause an automatic cancellation of the Click and Collect option. I had to travel 25 min from Napier to Hastings, NZ to collect my products and if the Duty Manager had not been undertanding and agreed to hold my items, I would have not had any ressurance that there would have been any merchandise when I arrived. 3) Restock your stores faster, expecially your smaller K-mart store like the one in Napier. It is always out of stock on the items I want meaning I have to drive to Hastings with a health condition.

Fast Delivery Time

Delivery time said 7 days because out of stock items in NZ are sent from AUS. However my package arrived in less then 48 hours after order was placed. I now understand that times will vary and 7 days actually means "Within 7 days". This is my first online order even though I have shopped at K Mart for years. A very good experience and will definitely order again.

Everyone time I visit the Rouse Hill…

Every time I visit the Rouse Hill Store and Jo-Anne is on the door, she is always smiling and greets everyone with a lovely smile and a welcome. Makes the whole experience "one out of the ordinary"

Free delivery and good prices

Impressed with the free delivery and cheap prices. Very happy with my microwave, frying pan and grater and my girlfriend was happy with the earrings I got her (removed the packaging and she thought they were a lot flasher than they cost. I wish was a Kmart closer to mebut very happy with buying online deal. Arrived quicker than I expected.

Buy something decent once, rather than something from Kmart twice.

Everything I have ever bought from Kmart (everything for Uni, flatting, and first house) has carked it within a year. Air fryers, frying pans, pots, tongs, utensils, tea towels, under garments, phone accessories, you name it, I've probably bought it for my house twice.

Sure, that $4 grater seems like a steal now, but when the handle breaks off after a month and you pay for another, you may as well have bought an $8 grater from somewhere better originally.

The only props I can give, they have decent shelves/storage boxes for sale. Kind of.

Not sure why the low review, have always had good experience with kmart online. Cant get much cheaper. IF anything makes me wonder about factory conditions

Went to the Petone store on the 24…

Went to the Petone store on the 24 April and what an absolute shambles. Some aisles we couldn't get the trolley through as there was so much stuff on the floor or carts piled high just parked up. So many shelves just empty and a lot of the shelves didn't even have price labels displayed. However Linda at checkout was lovely. No we won't be going back.
