Koala klubs Multi Activity Camps Avis 

I was extremely disappointed with my experience of Koala Klubs at Sidcup, which was operating at Crook Log Leisure Centre due to essential repair work being required at Sidcup Leisure Centre.

When I arrived to collect my 5 year old daughter, I was able to walk into the leisure centre and directly into the hall where the children were without any restriction or challenge. There was no sign-out process, and the member of staff I encountered appeared disinterested and allowed me to leave with my daughter without signing her out. I found this particularly concerning given that this is a children’s activity club.

I also raised a serious safeguarding concern regarding the environment and supervision. In particular, I was concerned that a fire exit that led directly out towards the car park/main road was left open without an adult supervising the exit. Given the age of the children attending, I did not feel this was an appropriate level of supervision or security.

I contacted the safeguarding lead, who responded quickly. I was told that my daughter’s future session would be cancelled, that I would receive a refund, and that he would arrange to be on site for her next session if I wanted to attend with her, so that he could show me what should happen. However, despite being told that the future session would be cancelled, I continued to receive session reminders. I was also told that a refund would be processed, but I have still not received it 3 weeks later, and I never received any further follow-up regarding him being present for a future session.

I appreciate that the safeguarding lead initially responded to my concerns, but the subsequent lack of follow-through was disappointing and did not give me confidence that the issues I raised had been properly resolved.

I would strongly encourage parents considering this club to ask detailed questions about the safeguarding arrangements, supervision, access to the children and procedures for signing children in and out before booking.

Daughter is enjoying going a lot she looks forward to the next day has made friends enjoys the sports and fresh air time. Much appreciated to have a place where she enjoys attending.

The memeber of staff were absolutely amazing and brilliant. My children enjoyed every bit of it. They do look forward to the next day to be there.

Very nice place, my daughter is very happy to be there. She had an interesting time. Plenty of fresh air is just the thing for children.

Cheadle club - the kids love coming here. When we booked over Easter it did seem quite disorganised, but summer has gone really well so far 🙂

My 2 children are absolutely loving Erith Koala Klub and I am impressed too as it is so much better organised than last year.
My children go in and come out happy and saying all the wonderful things they have done such as sports, games, crafts, soft play and swimming. The sessions are for the whole day allowing me to work and lunch can be provided too. Definitely would recommend.

So far our kids have had an amazing time and can't wait to come back for their next sessions.
They have really enjoyed meeting new children and playing exciting games. The extra swimming practise has enabled them to move up to the next swimming stage.

​The staff at Erith Sports Centre are awesome with the children, and the club itself is run very well—my kids are having a absolute blast this summer.
​My only criticism is the food provided. On multiple occasions, there hasn't been enough food to go around, particularly the fruit and yogurts. Additionally, the options offered (such as ham, pre-grated cheese, or jam served in burger buns) are lacking in quality and nutrition.
​Since Bexley Council replaced the holiday food vouchers with these activity clubs, the food provided should be a reliable substitute. Instead, many parents are having to send their children in with packed lunches, which defeats the purpose of the scheme. Improving the quality and quantity of the meals would make a huge difference to a program that is otherwise fantastic.

Staff are great with my kids at Cannock.
The kids are always doing something new each day, from football, exploring the forest, archery,, cricket etc.
They have loads of arts and crafts time inside which they love too.

My children have been attending Koala Club Tamworth for the past two years, and while they usually enjoy their time there, the last two weeks have been really disappointing. Although an activities timetable is provided, only a small number of the listed activities are actually taking place – this has left the children feeling bored and let down.

I understand that managing other children’s behaviour isn’t always straightforward, but some kids are swearing, shouting and being unkind to others, which makes the setting feel quite unwelcoming. Unfortunately, as this is the only club in the area that runs from 9am to 5pm, we have no other choice while I am at work.

My child isn7 and is having an amazing time at club offered , so much for them to do ans keep them entertained staff are amazing

My kids have been going most summer holidays and love it I have not had any problems kids love the swimming and soft play they go to the erith one

My daughter loves it! Great for working parents and even better for the kids each day filled with multiple opportunities.
Koala Klubs will now always be first choice club for my little one.

My little one always has a blast whenever they attend koala klubs. The activities are always so varied between games, sports, crafts, and utilising the amenities of the location available.
On multiple occasions the kid has requested being picked up even later so that they can enjoy more of the session.
The staff are always incredibly lovely and clearly form lasting positive impressions with the kids.
I couldn't recommend them more, and it's always the first sessions we try to book for holiday clubs.

My kids have been going to Koala club for years and I must say it's been absolutely brilliant, getting kids outdoors playing and climbing trees, learning about the outdoor environment not to mention the lovely staff, I can also see improvement happening all of the time so very happy 😊 my youngest has only just started to attend and she had so much to say about how much fun it was attending Koala club, mostly about the games they played but also just in general, thank you for providing this outdoor experience for these kiddies

My children aged 8 and 7 have never liked holiday clubs, days leading up to attending they constantly moan and say they don't want to go however unfortunately I have no other option.
What I have found with koala klubs is that I still get that moaning about attending however upon collection I'm then met with moaning about having to leave!!
They always seem to have done plenty of activities and speak highly of the staff however they have mentioned occasions of other children causing problems and hearing inappropriate language shouted at members of staff. This is out of the staffs control and they should not be subjected to this any more than the other children. From what I have heard from my children the staff handled this appropriately and the issue was resolved quickly.
Overall I think they do an amazing job and will gladly continue to send my children throughout the holidays.

Our kids have just finished their week at the Koala Klubs Bear Grylls camp at Rufford Abbey, and they haven’t stopped talking about it since!

It is such a relief to find a holiday camp that actually gets the kids outside, away from screens, and properly active.

The staff were fantastic—so energetic, welcoming, and brilliant at keeping the different age groups engaged with stuff tailored just for them.

If you want your kids to build some confidence, make new friends, and come home with massive smiles on their faces, book this.
We will definitely be back next summer!
